Evan POV

I was running frantically around the house, doing some last minute cleaning before Connor was to arrive. We had been getting closer lately, hanging out at school, going to parks together, and of course the orchard. It had easily become my favorite place.

Suddenly I heard the doorbell and froze in my tracks. He's here he actually came! I tried to swallow my anxiety as I ran to the door and pulled it open.

"Hey Connor! Thanks for coming you know you could've just stayed home and said something came up so that there wouldn't be awkwardness and-"

"Evan." He said softly, putting his hand on my shoulder. "Calm down."

I looked up into his eyes and nodded.

"Yeah calm. Anyway come in!" I smiled widely. Connor seemed to occupy my mind, leaving no room for anxiety.

I watched him walk in and jump on the sofa, grabbing the bag of bagel chips I had left there.

"You like this too?" He seemed surprised.

"Oh yeah they're my favorite!"

"Nice, I never see anyone eating these." He smiled playfully and began eating some.

I sat down next to him.

"What do you want to do?" I asked nervously, staring at his shoes. He was wearing black converse, which looked hilarious on his ridiculously big feet. I smiled to myself.

"I don't know, your house."

"I don't know, you're the guest."

He smiled at that.

"How about never have I ever?" He smirked deviously with that sentence, knowing that he was going to get a lot of information out of me.

"Sure." I tried to copy his smile, I probably failed badly though because he started laughing at me.

"So Evan, we're gonna play like this: someone says never have I ever blah blah blah, and if you've done it, put your finger on your nose, and if you haven't done it then don't do anything. I'll start."

He looked at me and smiled while saying "Never have I ever kissed a girl."

I watched as he put his long finger on his nose, and I did nothing.

He looked shocked. "Never?"

"Nope."

"I don't believe that Hansen, you're a little too nice looking for that to be true." He was shaking his head and smiling.

"I don't know Murphy, you're sounding a little too into me to be straight."

I watched as he quickly processed what I said and started laughing, and smiling. "Your turn." He barley got the words out through his fits of laughter.

"Never have I ever cried at school." I mainly wanted to figure out his secrets, and questions like this could do it.

I put my finger on my nose and watched as he did the same. "You first." I invited him to share the details.

"Like once or twice when I was high and it was a bad high. Don't get high at school it never ends well Hansen."

"Nice PSA." He laughed, I could make people laugh apparently. "I'm a very anxious person and whenever I lose my homework or do bad on a test it's tears all around."

"Maybe you should get high, you could use a break."
