Part2:

=============================

" Ah Sir Satan, your back!" Little D. No. 2 whizzed out excitedly from behind one of the library's high bookshelves. "The librarian is a bit sick today, so I will be helping out with the place!"

"Honestly, how many jobs do you have? You seem to be everywhere," the demon sighed, face-palming himself. "Anyway, did the old witch leave the books I requested last time?"

The small, black creature nodded eagerly while adjusting its hat," Ow, Yes yes! She left this note for you with the books' place! They are at row 107!"

The creature vanished back behind the shelves after handing Satan a small, yellow, sticky note. I leaned closer to peak at the code written on the piece of paper, but only yelped as I felt an arm find its way around my waist. "Hmm, yeah this won't do," he shot me a pitiful smile, before slowly lowering his arm and slipping his hand gently into mine. "Your blushing, Kitten."

"What was that for?" I grumbled, looking anywhere, but him as he lead me past the rows and rows of bookshelves, until we were at the far back, where a table orientated with a stack of books of multiple sizes, accompanied by two, green-velvet arm chairs facing each other.

"Its lovely isn't it?" I flinched upon hearing Satan whispering in my ear.

"Hey, watch it," but the demon only chuckled at my response, and slipped out his cold hand from mine to pick up the book on the top of the stack.

Between me and myself, I secretly missed the chilly sensation and could not help but manage a pout. Shifting into my cat form, I hastily rushed to one of the chairs and felt slightly drowsy as I laid down to get a nap on its scarlet cushions.

***

To my dismay, it's was when I finally felt at ease and comfortable enough to drift into sleep, was I pulled back into the real world upon sensing someone caressing my jelly-bean paws.

"So Cute."

Eyes flying open, I was met with the sight of Satan crouched down next to my chair with his emerald eyes glistening ever so brightly. A slim, open book was pressed up against his chest. Its bright-baby-blue cover stood out over his pitch-black t-shirt and lime-colored turtle neck sweater. His flustered and red flushed features, and hands playing with my paws made him look awfully-adorable. Honestly, what would he look like if  he wore cat ears? We would match. The thought of it stirred butterflies in my gut. It took him a while to notice my coco-brown eyes gazing at him, which resulted with his face turning two-times more red. I shifted into my human form and looked down at him as he hastily hoisted himself up and let out an awkward cough, that was obviously fake. "Uh, we should get going, let's stop by Lament Café your probably hungry," he did not even give me the chance to reply, before walking ahead of me with book in hand and a scarlet tomato face.

I hummed gleefully as I followed close behind; a cheap grin on my face and a light red tint  reaching my cheeks. " So~ you ditched your paper work today to hang out with me, and called my paws cute!" I teased the blond demon as we exited the library, and slipped my hand into his.

"Please, don't say that," he spoke, avoiding to look me in the eyes.

" . . .And what if I do?" I cooed, something I did not do too much often and clung to his arm.

A half-hearted smirk tugged the edge of his lips as he turned to face me. My grin quickly dropped, and that was when I knew I had taken a nasty slip into a demon's game. Without warning he slipped his hand out of my hand, and around my waist; pressing our bodies against each other, before I could retort only got muffled by something sweet yet bitter getting gently shoved into my mouth. "I will just to have to shut you up then," the demon spoke playing with the golden wrapper of the chocolate piece he had forcefully fed me. "Hmm, although . . . I read that in the Human Realm people find this . . . Romantic, you could say."

He buried the wrapper into the pocket of his teal pants, before tilting my chin up with that usual teasing smile on his face. Okay, so let me clarify one thing. This was our first . . . date. . . I mean day out as a couple, and kissing in public was not something I tended to be fond of. "You know the rules . . . Dumbass," his eyes widened and his mouth slightly fell open at my indirect rejection, but that only sent tingles over my skin.

I placed my hand over his mouth; standing on my tiptoes to lay a quick peck over it. His free hand slowly reached out to mine and lowered it, his lips formed into a thin line of no emotion. "You can't do things like that," he pecked my lips swiftly, before letting go, and intertwining our fingers, a smirk tugging the corner of his lips ever so faintly. "That's how it's done in TV shows and stories, right?"

"Whatever suits you," I covered my face and looked around to make sure no one had seen anything. "Let's go."

***

My attempt of trying to act normal only made me cringe at myself. "Hmm, this way then," he finally cut the silence between us, taking my hand in his, and leading me away front the main street; to an alley bustling with what I assumed were couples strolling around, or visiting the busy restaurants that stood at the sides. The place was a hint more vintage  and classical than normal days, but what caught my eye the most was a sign. It belonged to one of the small cafes and had the words "Valentines Special : One Kiss = One Free Strawberry-Whipped cream-cake," this of course, I did not understand at all, and was left to intensely stare at while trying to make sense of it. "Oh Michael, Devildom really is full of surprises," I sighed and tried to walk past the homey looking café, only get grabbed by the wrist and literally dragged in there. "Why are you like this?"

I glared at the demon in frustration, as we took a table on the second floor, on the balcony, which offered us a stunning sight of the night dominated city's glistening lights. For a moment my eyes were a mesmerized by its beauty, that my irritated complaints faded into thin air as we took our seats across each other. "Who new this hell could pull off such a view? "the words left me subconsciously, not even being able to resist the sight to peek at Satan's expression during the moment.

" Hmm," finally, I looked back at the blond demon, who wore an a expressionless face as his eyes did not move as he gazed at me with the slim book still in hand.

" Oh! I didn't catch what you said right there," he chuckled half-heartedly, with a red shade dusting his cheeks, as he casually  picked up the menu.

"Nothing nothing~ " I cooed and looked at the list of food on the menu. "Huh, they actually have A few dishes from the Human Realm here."

"Did you really expect me to take you to a café which you will most likely not stomach anything from the menu?" His question held little dismay as his eyebrows became slightly knitted and a sigh leaving his lips.

"Who knew you look so cute when disappointed," I shot a sarcastic comment, earning a scowl and an irked aura from the blond demon.

"Hey, watch that mouth of yours," he sacked the back if his book over my head a bit too forcefully, before waving over to a waiter in the distance. " A 'thank you' would have been a far better option."

Before I could retort with another sharp-witted reply, the waiter had already walked over to us with not book in hand, "So what will you be having tonight?"

I looked back at Satan with a stupid grin on my face as he looked back at me with a warning glare. . .
