"Oh, that's-"

   "Jellal Fernandes, pleased to be working with you," 

"Jellal?" I repeated, the letters rolling off of my tongue, Jellal eyed me, eyes piercing through mine.

   "Yes, that's what I said," He scowled. Before I was able to say anything else, the ship shook uncontrollably, and I gripped tightly at my seat- belt.

   "Don't be afraid, Erza-san! This is only the takeoff, you'll get used to it!" Mirajane chirped, holding my hand throughout the process. 

   From across the room, I spotted Jellal rolling his eyes before looking elsewhere. 'He must be lucky that the only thing holding me back from slapping him is this seat-belt' 

   After the takeoff, everyone had taken off their seat-belts and scattered into several rooms. After I took mine off, Gray immediately went to my side. "Don't mind Jellal, he's not that accustomed to strangers," Gray reassured, fidgeting with his fingers. I shot him a suspicious look.

   "Yeah, I guessed," I answered, sarcasm flowing through my words. A fluent high-toned voice filled the room.

   "Erza-chan!" Mirajane called. I whipped my head towards her, as Gray silently sneaked away. 

   "What is it, Mirajane?" I hummed. Mirajane didn't respond, only taking me by the hand and leading me into the right hall. I attempted to wiggle my hand out of her grip, but she had just giggled and pulled me harder. 'She's got a strong grip' I noted.

   "Let me introduce you to everyone! They're dying to meet you!" Mirajane exclaimed. I nodded, my hands getting sweaty in her grasp. She led me into a room where most of the crew had been. It was spacious, around the size of a large studio apartment. 

   Members had lounged across fluffy couches and watched TV, and others chose to take a bite from the kitchen or play pool.  

  Mirajane first led me to a pair of girls, one with bright blonde hair tied in a high ponytail with ribbons. The other with bold blue hair, her hair held up with a yellow headband.

   Mira nudged me forward, encouragingly, nodding towards the duo. The blonde smiled at me, extending her hand, which I grasped rather nervously.

   After we shook hands, she had the sense not to wipe her hand on her clothes, immediately, as I clutched my clammy hands together.

  'Calm down, you Buffoon. Get yourself together'

   "I'm Lucy Heartfilia," she spoke, smiling at me. Her tone was soft, with a hint of cheeriness within it.  "And this is Levy." She signaled to the blue-haired girl who gave a small wave along with a wide smile. 

    An awkward silence lingered after the short introductions, it was cut short by Mirajane's joyful voice. 

    "Erza's our new Combat Engineer," Mirajane happily stated,  throwing an arm around my shoulders. Lucy smiled widely at that, Levy remained her poker-face. 

    "I'm the Chief Engineer!" Lucy proudly mentioned, tapping her badge which had been on her collar. "You'll have to listen to my orders," Lucy chuckled, straightening her posture. I chuckled, though it was supposed to be taken light-heartedly, I couldn't help the way I tensed up upon hearing those words.

     "Levy here is our Navigator," Lucy chuckled, patting Levy on the back. Levy flushed and looked down into her lap in embarrassment.

    "Yeah! Levy's the smartest in our crew," Mirajane chimed in. Levy didn't manage to look up, but Erza could tell that her face would be bright red if she did. 

    "The one and only," Lucy laughed, before brushing it off. 

    We began our small talk and eventually came around talking about the other members.

    "I'm sure you've met Gray," Levy started, she was still sort of quiet, but at least she was talking more than she did before. I nodded as she pointed to the back of his head. He was sitting on the kitchen counter, munching on a sandwich.

   "Gray's our best Mechanic," Levy pointed out. I looked at her in disbelief, earning a small lopsided grin from her. "He may not seem that smart when you first meet him, but he knows the ship in and out, and he can fix almost anything he can get his hands on," Levy informed. 

   I examined Gray further until a pink-haired boy came over and sat next to him. It seemed harmless at first, that was until they started arguing, their yells filling the entire room. The other crew seemed unbothered, I suppose it had been a natural thing. 

   "That's Natsu, he's our Pilot," Lucy explained, her gaze had lit when she talked about Natsu, differently than when she talked about Gray or someone else. "He can't go a day without tripping or arguing with someone, but he does the job better than anyone we've ever had,"

   "The ship's on autopilot right now, so he's taking this to his advantage to annoy Gray, his usual Victim," Levy shrugged, watching on as Natsu snatched Gray's sandwich and took a huge bite before returning it to Gray, who was fuming.

    Since we had been on the topic of the crew, I took this as my chance to ask about Jellal. Not like I had any interest in him, just wanted to know what sort of things the Bastard was good at. "What's Jellal's position?" I questioned curiously, the others cocked an eyebrow at me.

    "Jellal's our captain," Mirajane informed. My brows furrowed as I almost blurted out several questions to them. 'Jellal? Captain?' Sounds absurd' 

   "You've got to be kidding me," I blurted out, deadpanned. All three girls laughed loudly, the other crew members looked back at us to see what had been so funny.

   "Why? Does he not seem like it?" Lucy chuckled. I nodded harshly, earning multiple giggles from them, including Levy, who never pegged me for being the giggly type.

   "Jellal's actually a softie, he just doesn't want to be seen in that way," The others agreed to Mirajane's statement, and I looked towards the blue-haired boy who was playing pool. Though he seemed to be immersed in the game intensely, he cheered loudly when he scored a point and huffed childishly when the other did. 

   He seemed different at that moment. He wasn't spiteful, or stuck-up like I intended him to be. And I didn't know whether that was a good thing or not. 

   "Erza? What are you staring a-"

   "Oh, nothing," I quickly answered with a chuckle, earning suspicious expressions from the three.

   We only got to talk for a few more moments before an ear-piercing alarm went off in our ears. The crew didn't seem very alarmed by it though, they just wrapped up what they had been doing and rushed into the Cockpit.

   "Everyone! Juvia must alert that we're about to land!" The frantic voice cried. 

   "That's Juvia, our scientist," Levy added, before zooming off to the Cockpit. I stood still for a second before Mirajane dragged me off by the hand and shoved me into my seat. 'I'm getting pushed a lot of times today, aren't I?'

   Natsu, who which I knew as the Pilot, rushed to the Cockpit and started to land the ship, all while I buckled my seatbelt. The engines blared, alike to the takeoff.  The engine shook as the landing wheels came in contact with the planet's surface. I looked to Mirajane, who was humming a tune that was muted by the loud sound of the engines.

   "Aren't you scared?" I asked, yelling into Mirajane's ear. She gave me a reassuring smile. I clutched tightly at my seatbelt as the shaking of the ship was still occurring. 

   "We get used to it, plus, Natsu's the best pilot in our company, he won't let anything happen to the ship or us," Mirajane comforted. She freely took off her seatbelt but stayed in her seat, waiting for the ship to calm down.

   Once the ship's engines had quieted down to a soft hum, I was about the leap out of my seat to find out what had been going on. I was about to until I realized nobody else had got up, thus I stayed settled in my seat.

   Jellal had been the only one who got up, the crew all paid attention to him. I scoffed silently and looked to see what could have been so interesting. 

   "As you all know, recently, the company has requested us to find some research about a new planet they've discovered. This mission will be quite different from when we had to do the same for stars and meteors, but I'm sure it'll be no problem," Jellal explained in a stern tone.

   "Juvia and I will be heading to get samples of the planet's soil and take measurements of the atmosphere, Lucy and Gray will be checking whether there are any signs of life on the planet, such as flora or animal life," Jellal ranted, as if he had been reading a list in the back of his head.

   "Mirajane will be accommodating Lucy and Gray," Jellal added, passing supplies to the crew members. "Members that were not called out will stay in the ship," Jellal demanded, eyeing me specifically.  

   I sighed heavily as the members rushed out of the ship. Natsu remained in the cockpit, lounging as he checked the gas now and then. But other than him, it was just me and Levy. 

   "This is so boring," I groaned as I threw an arm over my eyes. Levy gave a small chuckle in comfort. "Why can't I go out and help," 

   "Jellal doesn't trust you yet," Levy answered, short and simple. I rolled my eyes at the mention of his name.

   "Of course, he gets to decide," I murmured. Levy stood up abruptly, before returning with a book.

   "Who knows, Erza-San? This might not be as boring as you think," Levy comforted, flicking through the pages.

   I adjusted my position on the couch we had been sitting on and hugged a pillow tight to my chest. "Maybe you're right,"
