V.IV - Neko~sama

Erza rolled over, savoring the warmth of her blankets around her body. She flexed her back, cracking a couple of bones with a flourish and a sigh. Muscles were bulging all over her body - muscles she had wanted to touch when they were on J-

    Get out your mind out of the Gutter, Erza!

    She got up blinking, chest expanding and contracting as she drank in oxygen. Her mind kept straying away, no matter how hard she tried to stop it doing so. Dread was rising her spine, there had been one thing she had been avoiding all day - going to the toilet.

    Yes, Erza Scarlet, one of the strongest female mages of Fiore, was scared of going to the Bathroom. She might've needed one of the guys to help 'explain', but that would've been too embarrassing.

    And asking Jellal - it would've been alright if they had 'switched bodies' instead of genders. She felt too exposed to him. When she had been a female, she had always felt the most feminine around him, ignoring the shocked glances of her Guild Mates every time she turned coy and timid around the cyan-haired man.

    What the heck should I do?

    She ignored the burning in her stomach and laid back down. A couple of hours ago, Mira had promised to 'help her out' with her situation. By now, she just settled for the thought that Meredy and Jellal already left. Gramps should've reversed the effects of the potion on him, and they would've gone their way.

    "It's for the best, Erza," she muttered to herself, stroking a hand over the short strands of her crimson hair.

    BANG!

    Something smashed against a window of her room. She instantly got up, almost thinking about requiping, before she remembered that she couldn't. Erza Scarlet had never felt more lost about herself, before.

    Shards lay on the carpet, forming an arc around her dresser. Carefully, she peeped over the window into the abyss of darkness.

    It was well into the night, and it was only Day One. She couldn't help but think of Ultear's ominous words: The Spell would only get worse.

    Something brushed against her arm, before plopping back into her apartment. Someone, or something, had tossed a pebble this time - light and smooth, it didn't have the strength to hurt, let alone the strength to graze.

    Suspiciously, she let her gaze roam. Maybe she could go back, and consult the other members living in Fairy Hills. They might mistake her for someone else, though, and men were strictly forbidden in the small complex. She turned her back to the window, thinking of calling Natsu, Gray, and Lucy up.

    No, Gray and Natsu do classify as Men... even though they act like animals.

"Jesus, Erza, or should I say... Erik, should you turn around from an open window?" A slightly low-pitched voice growled, the squeak of Erza's mattress being sat on echoing through the room. She tensed, turning around quickly.

    In her mind, she was running through the spells she knew Jellal could do - Meteor could be quite helpful, or maybe Grand Chariot. Arching her hands, she opened her mouth, "May the-"

    "That really won't be necessary, Scarlet." The voice rumbled again, this time slightly softer. Her eyes clapped onto familiar olive-green orbs, and she grimaced. Stepping away from the body seated on her bed, she rubbed her arms nervously.

    "Well, people don't usually drop by windows, to say 'Hi'," she scowled, before realizing she was being a hypocrite. Jellal seemed to notice, and crisscrossed his arms, a smirk on his pistillate lips. She fumbled uselessly for words, towering over the man-now-girl, "T-There's an exception for when it's Lucy!"

    "Yeah, but it's Team Natsu, I guess it's acceptable for you guys to pop through windows," he chuckled. Jellal's voice wasn't as deep as it used to be, but it wasn't high-pitched either. She giggled mentally, wanting to know how a flustered female Jellal would sound.

    "Mhmm," she focused on what he was wearing. When she had previously left him earlier, he had donned on her colorless blouse and cyan skirt. Now, he was clad in a neon-red dress, and her boots. Her eyes hurt slightly, as the rich color stung them.

    "I think you may know this," he asked, now inspecting the rest of her room. Erza's bedroom wasn't quite over-the-top, unlike the rest of her spacious apartment. A simple Queen-bed, in the center, with dressers on the side; a door, leading into the walk-in closet, and a couple of pictures of the team, "But Mirajane sent me."

    "And you came?" she hissed, not bothering to sound polite, "I thought you didn't want to get in the way of someone who walks in 'the light'." Erza's temper was flaring, and Jellal sat astounded, as he swallowed in every word she said.

    "I don't even know why you're here, Jellal! Go back and take down some Dark Guilds or something!" tears were beginning to well up in her eyes. She closed them and walked away from the bluenette, who was lost for words.

    God, I'm an idiot.

    Erza stomped out of the apartment, slamming the door behind her. The rectangular piece of wood rattled on its hatches, before clicking on the automatic lock. A wail rose in her throat, but she carried on down the corridor.

    "Er- Erza! Wait!"

    A firm hand encircled her wrist, pulling her backward. Due to her new height, her 'attacker' was up to her nose. Despite the situation, she couldn't help but want to laugh at Jellal.

    "Erza."

    "E-Erza..."

    "Jellal!"

    ~~~
Erza Scarlet washed her hands, scrubbing them thoroughly. She splashed her face, water dripping down her neck as she gazed at herself in the mirror.
    A midnight-haired girl entered the Women's' Bathroom, gagging slightly. She deposited a plastic bag into the bin, sniffing.
    "Wendy?"
    "Oh, Erza-san!" Wendy chirped, forgetting her gagging, "I didn't see you there! Oh god, that's disgusting."
    Erza pursed her lips, furrowing her eyebrows. Jellal had collapsed on her, breathing shallow and quick. She had picked him up and raced to the Guild, as Wendy and Porlyusica tended over him.
    The spell seemed to be reversing itself... but that couldn't be right. Ultear had mentioned clearly that it was going to get 'worse'. She clutched her long scarlet hair and tossed it back over her shoulders, face still wet.
    "Is he okay?"
    "I- I guess?" Wendy stepped away from the bin, "He isn't Jellal-san yet, for sure, but, uh. I guess it's better than him being Jellia."
    Erza grinned, flashing her pearly-white teeth, "Jellia? That's even worse than Jellina."
    "Jellina!" Wendy giggled, clutching her stomach. Erza smirked, before remembering Jellal again, "Wh-What d'you mean 'He's not Jellal yet'?"
    "He's coughing up hairballs, for Mavis's sake," Ah, Erza thought, that must be what was in the plastic bag, "But he has these adorable ears!"
    "Everyone has ears," Erza asked, bewildered. She pictured Jellal in her mind, thinking about his finely structured face, and charming smile-
    Shut up!
    "No, like-" she bit her cheek, thinking, "He has Happy's ears, but a lot fuzzier. They suit him!"
    "O-Oh," Erza blushed, whirling to view her reflection in the mirror. She hadn't changed out of Jellal's clothes yet. They were slightly big on her, but she didn't care much. She rather thought that the armor suited her, but the hearts were a bit over the top.
    "Yeah," she smiled, "Porlyusica-san said that they'll wear off when Ultear's potion's commands are met."
    "Commands?"
    "I think- I think Ultear-san kinda 'programmed' the potion's effects to go away when her demands were met. Porlyusica seemed flustered when she was trying to find out the root, and wouldn't tell us."
    "That's- uhm, interesting." Erza sighed. Considering that Ultear and Meredy wanted Jellal and herself to end up together, the demands were probably very...
    Explicit.
    "You can go visit him if you'd like, Erza-san," Wendy went to the sinks to wash her hands, face angled towards Erza, "He'd like that. I- I know he isn't the same Jellal that saved me but," she beamed, "He has a Fairy Tail Member's heart."
    "Yes, yes he does," Erza hugged Wendy thanks and walked out of the toilet. She headed towards the infirmary, her boots echoing in the hallway.
    As she entered the room where Natsu told her Jellal was in, something pressed her against the door, locking it swiftly, and lips touched her neck passionately. Blue obscured her vision, but she could make out the silhouette of triangular ears on the person's head.
    "A-Ah!"
