"Oh no."

Unicorn looked around, trying to find her companion.

"U-Chan!" She called out as she ran past a fountain, "U-Chan!"

She continued looking, before she turned around.

*Gasp*

Only to jump back slightly at the unexpected Shipgirl behind her.

"Hi there!"

(Javelin. Class: Destroyer)

The Destroyer smiled.

Giggling, she got a little to Unicorn who took a couple of steps back.

"Hey now." Javelin noticed the action. "Aren't you also from the Royal Navy? Why are you shaking like that?"

"I lost my U-chan."

Unicorn softly said.

"Hm?" Javelin tilted her head in confusion. "What's a U-chan?"

"U-Chan my friend." Unicorn explained. "But I can't find him."

"Hm..." Javelin looked to the sky with a finger on her cheek in contemplation.

*Snap!*

"Ah!" Javelin got an idea. "Then let me help!"

She grabbed Unicorn hands in her own.

"Two heads are better than one after all!"

"Ah..."

Was all Unicorn could say from the energetic girl offer.

With that said, the two started looking around for U-Chan.

In another location.

"Hm..."

A girl with bunny ears accessories tiredly moans as she rested on a bench.

(Laffey. Class: Destroyer)

"So warm....and toasty."

The sleepy girl tiredly said, eyes half opened.

"Hello!" Javelin unexpectedly said as she kneeled down to the drowsy girl. "Are you okay?"

"Hm..."

Was all Laffey said as she looked at them.

"Have you seen a U-Chan anywhere?"

"Hm?"

This time it was a questioning sound coming from her.

"I know, it's kind of a strange name." Javelin said. "But it's the name of her friend."

She nodded towards Unicorn.

"Show her."

She said.

Unicorn showed a picture of a rather majestic version of U-Chan.

"...Nice picture."

Laffey complimented.

"Indeed, it is." Javelin agreed. "But does it seem familiar to you?"

"..."

"...I'm sleepy."

Laffey finally said.

"Oh!"

Javelin gasped.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to disturb your sleep!"

Quickly turning, she said.

"We should get going Unicorn."

"Okay."

They both turned to leave.

"Are you in trouble?"

Laffey groggily asked them.

Her eyes never leaving them as they turned back to face her.

"I want to help."

"Uh..."

The two blinked in confusion at the lethargic girl response.

But before they could say anything.

"What's going on here?"

A male voice startled the three of them.

"Wha?!" "Eek!" "Who...?"

Turning to the side they saw...

(M/N) just staring at them in casual clothing, hands in his pocket as he just stared at them with a confused expression.

"What's up?"

Was all he said.

Javelin: "..."

Unicorn: Q_Q

Laffey: "Human..."

The teen sweatdropped at the last girl reaction.

"Okay?"

This was not what he was expecting to stumble upon.

He decided to just take a break and walk around the base for a while. Forgoing his uniform for a more casual look.

What?

Being in a uniform all the time felt more than a little stifling.

Until he stumbled upon this scene.

"..."

He just stared at them.

Unicorn hiding behind Javelin, who just stared in surprise at his unexpected appearance.

While Laffey?

"...You're...the new commander...right?"

Asked him a question.

The two Shipgirls blinked at that.

Eh?

"Yes."

Was all (M/N) said as he stared at them.

"EH!?"

Javelin and Unicorn shouted in surprise.

The new Commander was a teen!?

"I'm getting the feeling this is going to be the normal reaction to my appearance."

(M/N) rubbed his forehead in annoyance.

'Sucks to be you.'

??? just laughed.

'Fuck you!'

(M/N) mentally growled.

'I mean...if you're that curious.'

??? chuckled.

'Forget I said anything!'

(M/N) mentally screamed.

He could never win with him!

Deciding to focus on more important matters.

The Shipgirls blinked as (M/N) suddenly fixed Laffey clothes after a brief, weird silence.

"Fix your clothes kid." (M/N) said. Not caring that she was probably older than she looked. "Otherwise, it'll fall off."

"Don't wanna." Laffey sleepily said. "Too much work."

"Don't make me use my authority and order you to fix your clothes."

"Alright..."

(M/N) and the other two sweatdrop at her lackluster response.

'This girl's a sloth, isn't she?'

??? sweatdropped.

'What was your first clue?'

(M/N) rhetorically asked.

Before turning to the other two.

"So, what's going on here?"

He asked.

"Ri-Right!" Javelin snapped out of it. "Sorry, Commander! I am Javelin of the Royal Navy! And this is Unicorn. She too is from the Royal Navy."

"N-Nice to meet you."

Unicorn shyly spoke up from behind Javelin back.

"Same."

(M/N) simply smiled.

Causign the poor girl to squeak and hide harder.

'Shy one, isn't she?'

??? mused in amusement.

"And I am Laffey of Eagle Union."

Laffey sleepily introduced herself.

'Well, at least we got her name.'

Javelin thought to herself.

"I'm (M/N) (L/N)." (M/N) introduced himself. "Due to...extenuating circumstances, I am now the Commander of Azur Lane."

"...Which is telling me that they are more desperate than I thought."

He deadpanned.

Causing the three girls to sweatdrop at that.

Obviously, he wasn't all too happy to be here.

'Well...' Javelin thought to herself. 'Considering there are some Shipgirls who would love to have him in their hands (*Cough* Boobs/thighs/hugs/etc. *Cough*), I don't think I could blame him.'

She remembered hearing stories about how some Commanders just quit because of how forward some Shipgirls could be. Which is ironic considering how perverted some Commanders could be.

'Surprisingly, they were able to command their squads with such efficiency.'

Javelin thought to herself.

'But I guess even those kinds of Commanders paled in comparison to how horny some of the Shipgirls could be.'

She just hoped their new Commander won't be running for the hills once 'they' set their sights on him.

"Have you seen U-Chan."

Unicorn timidly asked.

"U-Chan?"

(M/N) blinked.

What the heck is a U-Chan?

"This is U-Chan." Unicorn showed her picture of U-Chan. "Have you seen U-Chan?"

First thought (M/N) had.

'Nice drawing.'

Second thought.

'Pretty U-Chan does not look like that. Don't think I've heard anyone screaming about a majestic unicorn roaming around.'

Shaking his head, he said.

"Sorry, kid." He apologized. "But I haven't seen nor heard of a U-Chan running about."

"Oh..." Unicorn said. "Okay."

"Let's go look somewhere else." Javelin offered. "I'm sure we'll find U-Chan soon!"

"Okay."

Unicorn nodded as the three prepared to leave.

(M/N) just looked to the sky with an unreadable expression.

Sigh!

"Let me help."

(M/N) just said, startling the three girls.

"Wha-But Commander!" Javelin shouted in shock. "Don't you have to do paperwork and whatever responsibilities a Commander has?"

"Eh." (M/N) shrugged. "Not like it's going to change anything if I do it now or later."

"Besides, I need to get a feel of my new home for the time being." He continued. "And I just can't leave you three alone on your quest now that I stumbled upon it, now, can I?"

"...Th-Thank you! Big brother!"

Unicorn smiled so brightly; it was like she was made of light!

"AHH!?" "So bright!?" "My eyes!"

'AAHH!!' (M/N) mentally screamed as well. '???! What is the scouter reading on that power level!?'

BEEP! BEEP!

'It's over 9000!!'

??? screamed in horror.

Such purity! It hurts ??? eyes so much!

No doubt about it.

Unicorn was a force to be reckoned with.

"Come on, Oni-san!" Unicorn smiled happily. "Let's go!"

"Wha!?" (M/N) shouted at the strong grip the girl had.

(Not in that way, you pervs 😒)

"Slow down!" He shouted. "I can walk on my own!"

Laffey and Javelin just stared in shock, before they realized that they were being left behind.

"Commander! Unicorn! Wait up!"

Javelin shouted as she and Laffey quickly rush to catch up with them.

-Timeskip to (M/N) and the girls looking for U-Chan-

'Agh! Talk about exhausting.'

(M/N) groaned.

They had about gone all over the island looking for U-Chan to no avail.

But that wasn't what exhausted the teen. No, what mentally tired him was the Shipgirls that were already in Azur Lane. They were all curious about the new Commander, especially since he was a teen thus somewhat closer to them in age.

How that work, (M/N) decided it was better not to ask.

Walking past a singing San Diego, (M/N) rubbed the Shipgirl head. Causing San Diego to be quiet as she tried to process what just happened as (M/N) and the others started looking around the dock.

Looking around, they found nothing, so they asked the Shipgirls that were hanging around.

The shook their heads as well, leaving them at yet another dead end.

"Hey!" A new Shipgirl appeared on the scene. "Have you tried looking up there?"

She pointed to a grassy hill.

-Timeskip to (M/N) reading some papers while walking. With the Destroyer class Shipgirls walking behind him calling dad/daddy/father/big brother/onii-sama...NOT IN THAT WAY YOU DEGENERATES! 😑)

Up on the hill, we see U-Chan chasing after a butterfly. Jumping, U-Chan failed to catch the butterfly as it fell to the ground and rolled to a certain Shipgirl foot.

"Huh?" Ayanami picked up the unicorn. "Cute plushie."

She simply said.

Until U-Chan started wriggling around, trying to get out of her grip.

"Eh?" Ayanami stared blankly at the 'plushie' "It's...alive."

"U-CHAN!"

Unicorn shouted as Ayanami turned her attention to the approaching Shipgirls and...a teen male?

"U-Chan!" Unicorn hugged her companion. "There you are!"

"So, this is U-Chan." (M/N) tilted his head as U-Chan stared inquisitively at him. "Cool."

"Did you find U-Chan?" Unicorn asked. "Thank you so much!"

*Gasp*

Ayanami turned her head.

"I didn't do...anything." She blushed. "At least, nothing that worthy of being thanked for."

'Girl got self confidence issues.'

(M/N) sweatdropped.

"Such a nice breeze." Laffey drank her Oxy Cola. "Sleepy time."

'...Does this girl do anything other than drink soda and sleep?'

??? asked.

'Why ask an obvious question.'

(M/N) sighed as he turned to the sea.

"...Never thought I'd see the ocean from such a relaxing perspective."

(M/N) said as the wind blew through his hair, causing the ends to fly messily in the wind as he gazed calmly at the sea.

"Wow!" Javelin took a look as well. "Its' so beautiful! I've never seen the ocean from such a marvelous perspective before!"

Turning her head back to the girl.

"You must have some special talent to find places like this!"

"Huh..." The girl quiet voice spoke up, as she too gazed at the sea. "Ahh..."

She understood what they were talking about, as she too was mesmerized by the scene.

Javelin: "I'm Javelin."

Laffey: "Laffey."

Unicorn: "And I'm Unicorn."

"...Javelin. Laffey. Unicorn."

Ayanami repeated, before looking at (M/N).

"Hm?" (M/N) felt eyes on him, causing him to turn his attention to the Shipgirl.

Smiling, he extended his hand.

"I'm (M/N)." He said. "Azur Lane new Commander."

!?

'He's...!'

Ayanami face expressed shock at the teen unexpected answer.

No one in the Sakura Empire knew who the new Commander was! That she had stumbled upon him on her reconnaissance mission was nothing short of a miracle!

"You okay?"

(M/N) question snapped her out of her funk.

"Oh!" She spoke up. "I'm Ayanami."

Slowly, she shook his hand.

Blushing at how warm it felt.

(Just to let you know. NO. I'm not shipping them. But kids can have crushes on older people. But that's it, just a CRUSH. It doesn't equal to them being/falling in love or anything. It can also be considered admiration too)

"Ayanami." (M/N) blinked. "Ah! You're from the Sakura Empire."

!!

"Ye-Yeah."

Ayanami fidgeted.

"That's awesome!" Javelin said. "Admittedly, this is my first time meeting someone from the Sakura Empire, but still!"

"I hope we can be friends."

Unicorn softly smiled.

"...I"

Whoosh!

A loud noise and large shadow suddenly flew past them.

"What the fruits basket!?"

(M/N) yelled as the wind picked up from that.

Once it died down, Ayanami was nowhere to be seen.

"She's gone."

Laffey noted.

"...We'll see her again."

(M/N) sighed as they stayed a little bit longer on the hill.

'A Sakura Empire girl huh?' (M/N) frowned at the implications.

'Seems like they're about to make their move.'

??? chuckled.

'How will this turn out, one wonders?'

Scene changes to Ayanami in a forest talking to somebody.

"Ayanami reporting in."

Soon a voice spoke up.

"We're on a mission, codenames only."

"Ah right." Ayanami remembered. "Citrus, reporting in."

Looking to Azur Lane, she made her report.

"I'm looking at the general layout of Azur Lane."

"Good." The voice said. "We'll reconvene when appropriate."

"Understood." Ayanami hesitated, before deciding to give an abridged version of her encounter. "Also..."

"Yes?"

The woman asked.

"There have been reports of the new Commander settling in, but I have not seen hair or hide of him."

She lied.

"...I see." The woman said. "Then this is the perfect time to showcase our true power to him. Maybe by displaying the power we have now come to possess will prove to the world that our ideology is not wrong."

"Wait until the signal is given to join our side."

"Understood."

Ayanami hung up the communicator as she looked at a distance.

Her mind conflicted on what she is about to do.

'Is this truly the right thing to do?'

Was all she could think about.

-Somewhere in the ocean-

Sitting on a stone pillar in the middle of the ocean, stood two Fox Girls from the Sakura Empire.

"We're ready when you are, Pheonix."

(Kaga. Class: Aircraft Carrier)

"Tell me, Kaga."

(Akagi. Class: Aircraft Carrier)

"What is the fundamental nature of battle?"

She asked as she stared at the ocean.

"Sister Akagi." Kaga spoke up. "Please use my code name. Otherwise, what's the point of having them in the first place?"

"To battle is to inflict injury." Akagi ignored her sister, as she continued talking. "To battle is to also invite injury."

She stares at Azur Lane in the distance.

"Therefore, a battle is a mutual exchange of pain."

'Oh, Kami NO!' Kaga mentally screamed as she kept a stoic appearance externally. 'She's going into one of her philosophical moods again!'

Poor Kaga.

...Anyways!

"Pain is an interpreter." She kneeled down and hugged her sister. "Helping us understand each other's feelings."

Kaga couldn't help but smile as her sister continued her crazy speech.

"So you could say, when we battle, we share love."

Although Kaga was smiling, inside she was thinking.

'And that's why the Commanders in the Sakura Empire want nothing to do with you, older sister.'

She felt pity on those that were assigned to be their Commander. Akagi had a bad habit of traumatizing them with her version of love.

...She lost track of how many ran for the hills when Akagi got too close to them.

And she was also convinced that Akagi was Commandersexual.

Male, Female, she didn't seem to care about the gender, if you were a Commander...run.

'What is up with her weird obsession with the Commanders?'

Sighing, Kaga removed Akagi hand from her as she got up.

"None of your poetry has anything to do your question of war."

Kaga eyes turned serious.

"I battle to destroy my enemies. Plain and Simple."

Fwoosh!

One of her cranes suddenly ignited in her hand.

Storm clouds could be seen appearing from out of nowhere.

Giggling, Akagi got up.

"Well, excuse me."

She smiled as she held a cube that looked suspiciously like a Wisdom Cube. Only...it's color an ominous purple-black color.

((M/N) could be seen in his office, looking over something when he's eyes widened as he turned to the window. Frowning at the approaching storm clouds as he could FEEL it)

"Now then." Akagi smiled. "We've waited long enough to begin this war."

She spoke up as advanced ships suddenly started appearing from out of nowhere.

"Let's see who will emerge victorious in this contest of ideologies."

Akagi said.

"I can't wait."

"The battle might go as you might expect it to, sister." Kaga warned. "According to our spy, the new Commander is already there."

"Oh?"

A dark smile etched itself onto Akagi face.

"That was unexpected." She admitted. "But I can't wait to see if he's worthy of my love."

'...I should not have said that.'

Kaga realized.

'Now, we're going to have another situation to deal with.'

Namely, Akagi most likely kidnapping the new Commander and 'persuading' him with her love.

'May your pelvis rest in peace, random Commander I do not know.'

Kaga prayed for him.

((M/N): ACHOO!!)

"Let my love burn this world to the ground."

Akagi proclaimed.

As the ships begun their attack.

-Azur Lane-

BOOM!

"AHH!" "WHAT THE HELL!?"

Several Shipgirls shouted as Azur Lane was being bombarded by an outside attack.

"So, they come."

(M/N) frowned as he glared at the window.

Pressing a button, he shouted.

"Attention! Attention! The Sirens are attacking! Everyone get into battle positions and teach them a lesson!"

"Damn, those Sirens."

Prince of Wales glared angrily.

Turnign back, she shouted.

"Well? What are you waiting for, an invitation?"

Prince of Wales asked the Shipgirls by the door, rhetorically.

"You heard the Commander, destroy them.

"Ah! Right!" The Shipgirls snapped out of it and ran out of the room.

Cleveland ran to the window to see that it was true. The Sirens were indeed attacking!

"Damn it!"

Grabbing hee coat, she ran outside as Prince of Wales and Illustrious frowned at the implications of this new attack by the Sirens.

"Why now, of all time?" Prince of Wales wondered. "Is this a coincidence? Or...something more."

"I doubt it's a coincidence."

Illustrious frowned.

Outside, Cleveland could be seen running as she jumped off a pier.

FLASH!

Soon, she was covered in battle armor/weapons as she started blasting the Siren airplanes.

"If you think, you'll beat us that easy. Then you got another thing coming!" Cleveland shouted as she blasted several of the Siren planes out of the sky. "We were created to be the ultimate weapons to take down you sirens!"

BOOM! BLAST!

Soon, more Shipgirls entered the fight as they fought back against the Sirens.

"Javelin, full power!"

Javelin shouted.

"Conditions green, GO!"

Laffey shouted as they annihilated a couple of Siren ships coming at them.

Chuckling, Cleveland took a look around.

Whoosh!

Only for...Sakura petals? To be falling from the sky.

"It's true." Akagi voice spoke out of nowhere. "We were created by humanity to fight against the Sirens."

"But unfortunately." A storm of petals could be seen. "A difference in our beliefs split the four."

(M/N) could be seen running to the pier, where a Shipgirl was waiting for him.

Major camps into two separate factions.

The first faction believes in only using powers that were created by humankind.

Kaga spoke up.

"On this side, Eagle Union and Royal Navy fight on this side."

(M/N) could be seen boarding a ship, nodding to a Shipgirl who nodded back.

"AS for the second faction."

The storm of petals cleared to reveal a ship.

!!

"I know that emblem!"

Cleveland face turned to shock and horror.

On top of the ship, stood Akagi.

"Their group decided to use Siren technology to defeat the Sirens."

They are the Iron Blood and with us, the Great Sakura Empire.

Soon, multiple planes started flying off their runways as Azur Lane looked around in shock.

"First Carrier Division. Akagi."

Akagi introduced herself.

"And First Carrier Division. Kaga."

"Behold and Tremble!"

Didn't think I would be able to get this out today, but I made it.

So, Sakura Empire has deigned to show their true colors. (M/N) has interacted with some Shipgirls, and gained...a little sister?

Eh, oh well.

And Akagi is more terrifying than expected.

Now, a new war has been declared. What will come out of this? Who is the Shipgirl that (M/N) with?

(Yeah, do you really think that any ordinary Shipgirl is just going to take him into the heat of battle where he could die? No, this one was actually in the battle that (M/N) took command that got him noticed by Naval HQ. Of course, just who she is. Is a secret for now, AKA I'm still debating on who.)

(And NO. I don't want suggestions please. You're free to guess if you want. Just don't be disappointed if it's not who you think it will be)

How will this play out? Will Akagi and Kaga be successful? Will (M/N) somehow turn the battle against them?

Will Akagi try to capture him and marry him?

Will Kaga try therapy?

Should (M/N) be afraid of Unicorn abusing her cuteness on him?

Who knows?
