Back at Laffey she sigh as she look above them.

The clouds that were following them was a camouflage to hide the second fleet above them.

At first when Laffey saw them having a retrofit she went jealous about it.

But soon she got words that she and the rest that hasn't been retrofited will have one after there battle against Sakura Empire.

Which made her jump I joy at the thought of getting a retrofit.

She would become stronger and would be able to help more often now.

She remembered a destroyer that was in one of Y/N data files.

It has Laffey name on it at first she was confused to why her name was not it.

But soon learned that it was the ship that is going to be her retrofit.

The ship was a modified version of a Paris Class Frigate but its class change that to a Destroyer.

Being 950 meters long, 250 meters wide, and 60 meters high it is also equip with 55 Mk15 two-barrelled 12 inch railguns.

And with one Wave Motion Gun in the front of the ship.

Just the ship itself was very powerful it has an armor of 35 inch Vibranium armor.

Laffey also learned that it could submerged underwater.

Just by reading it made Laffey want to get a retrofit now but she has to be patient since they still have a battle.

Laffey read about midway and it's history.

It was formerly a base for the former nation USA but now known as Eagle Union.

The base was one of Eagle Union naval base in the Pacific Ocean.

But after the arrival of the Siren it was abandoned when the Siren bombard it.

Completely destroying the base and have made a whole under the island.

That caused the bottom of the island to crack and making it possible for lave to come out if it.

A huge magma was stored under deep of the island due to the energy weapons of the Sirens.

Anv there constant bombardment of Midway at that time.

It made the ground that prevents the magma from coming to crack.

Leading it to the formation of the island into a huge active volcano.

Until today the volcano still continue to fire lava out into the ocean.

Getting near the island would kill them to they have to stay away from it to not get hit by a huge giant ball of magma.

And get burned and turn to roasted meat for the carnivorous fishes in the sea.

Laffey then wet back to the thought of her getting a retrofit was still made her excited.

And she really want the battle to start and win it soon go she can get a retrofit.

If she is able to get retrofitted she would be able to help others greatly.

And would even be able to protect herself if ever she goes on a patrol and gets ambush by a siren.

Laffey read about the other things her ship have on of which is a new developed Forcefield was put on her soon to new ship.

It was called a Vibration Field as the names say it some kind of energy that protects her.

From any physical and energy attacks the Vibration Field was said to absorb the kinetic energy from any attacks that hits the field.

The energy would keep the Vibration Field in 100% and the remaining energy would go to the core.

To supply Laffey energy weapons and fabrication factory inside her.

That produces weapons and food for her so that incase she goes on a long mission.

She wouldn't have a problem to resupply her ammunition and food supply.

Laffey broke out her thought as she see her soda bottle all out.

She put it on a trash bin behind her which is weird.

Since trash cans would be inside the ship not outside.

It is possibly been put there if anyone was throwing someting away instead of throwing it into the sea.

Anyway Laffey them took another bottle of soda from her jacket.

And open it as she took a drink from it and stop drinking and only half of it remained.

Laffey turn to look at the sea and could see that everyone looks fine for now that is.

Back to wha Midway will look like the island has become 10x times bigger than it once was.

But no one leaves in it due to the volcano still erupting until today.

The only problem is that the island is so huge that it would take time for them to cross over it.

If they ever mannage to dodge incoming fireballs.

It is also the main reason why there is rarely a ship patrolling it.

But the most confusing thing is why would they choose this route to Azur Lane.

It's possible because of the recent battle that his big brother had made the easiest route to be heavily patrolled.

This one reason should make Sakura Empire change route since if they choose it.

They would easily get spotted and Azur Lane will already be prepared before they could even attack them.

But it is still the same since they have already been spotted by one of the Royal Navy ships.

Even then with the long range radar that Enterprise and the others had they could easily detect them from 1000 miles away from the base.

She read about the radar system that Y/N ship had it could detect at a Solar-scale.

Meaning Y/N must have already known they were heading towards the base.

But couldn't inform them since one of the Royal Navy ships already had.

Also add to the fact that Y/N has been busy retrofitting Warspite at that time.

Laffey:the wind is getting hot.

Laffey muttered to herself as she look to where the direction of the wind is coming.

And she could literally see black smokes on the sky.

This just indicates that they were getting near Midway.

The black smoke in the sky is only caused by a volcano when it is erupting.

The temperature has become hotter as they get closer to Midway.

From 25 degree to 38 degree is now what the temperature is.

But it would soon become hotter as they get closer to Midway.

It isn't safe to go neat the island so they have to circle around it.

Laffey was now sweating a bit from the heat of the wind.

As she wipes a sweat if her forehead and took a drink from her soda to cool her self off.

Meanwhile with Javelin she was deep in thought about Ayanmi.

Of course she tried to kill her and Laffey but only because she was doing it for her nation the Sakura Empire.

Even then she could clearly see the hesitation on her eyes every time they fought.

Javelin was sure that Laffey has also noticed about it but must be to sleepy to even think about it.

She would sometimes wonder where Laffey always goes but she thought that she would either be sleeping on some random bench on the base.

Or would just sleep on her room for the rest of the whole day and could even barely read a book.

This was one thing that is quite troublesome thing about Laffey.

As her sleepy attitude would always make her ended up always sometimes couldn't listen when they are in a picnic.

If only she would do something than just sleeping around sure she plays with them.

But only if they by any chance meet up with her all the time.

Javelin could hope that Laffey would do something like exercising or reading some useful books.

But she doesn't do anything all she do is just sleep and nothing more well except when she eats and takes a bath that is or would do some chores that is left for her.

Javelin: why can't she just do something good other than sleeping.

Javelin muttered to herself thankfully Laffey hasn't heard what she said as she is go sleepy to even bother listening to something that isn't important.

Or so Javelin thought little does she know Laffey is always energetic when it come to bung able to have some time with Y/N.

If Javelin knew about this she would surely be dumbfounded about this and would pour some bucket of ice on herself if that ever happens.

And she would probably think she has gone crazy or hallucinating from to much worrying.

Anyways back to Laffey as she finnish drinking her soda she turn around and throw it into the trash bin again.

As she then turns around and walks towards the Cafeteria inside Essex ship.

After all every ship carries food as a mean of supply for long voyages.

As she walks away Javelin noticed this as she turns around to look at Laffey as she see the sleepy girl walking into a metal door.

Javelin: Laffey where are you going?

Javelin asked as she stand up from the AA gun she was sitting on and turn back to look at Laffey.

Laffey: I'm going to find something to drink I'm thirsty.

Laffey said with sleepy eyes as she walks to the metal door and opened it.

As the girl then  went inside the ship leaving Javelin outside.

Javelin: hey Laffey wait for me!

Javelin shouted as she ran after the sleepy girl as she was worried that she would fall asleep inside again while there in a middle of a battlefield.

As this was going on we could see back up with the second fleet.

In Hornet ship she was sitting on one of her fighter jets.

She was relaxing inside her ships cockpit when she suddenly see black smoke on the clouds.

Hornet: huh?

Hornet walks out of her cockpit and look at what is currently happening black clouds everywhere.

Luckily the ship was above the black clouds so they wouldn't worry about the black clouds from reaching them.

Hornet:strange is there a storm?

Hornet asked herself as she walks on the railings of her ships.

She looks at the black clouds that they are sailing through as she puts her hand on the black clouds.

Hornet: there isn't any thunderstorm.

Hornet said to herself as she pulled her hand back away from the black smokes as she looks at her hands.

Hornet:wait a minute this is ashes.

Hornet thought to herself then she realized that tht were almost near Midway.

She went to one if her jet planes to looked at a watch and see they have been heading to midway for the past 4 hour now.

And looking at the radar of the plane it showed an island 75 km away from them.

Hornet:so where almost at Midway huh.

Hornet said to herself as she then sat bak on the ships cockpit.

Hornet:well hope big brother will come back soon.

Hornet said to herself as she look at the horizon and see flames rising from afar and she could also see several large fireball coming out of the smoke.

Before as it falls and past through the clouds before it hit the water below them.

This just say that they are now almost near the island as the flames just indicates that Midway was infront of them.

But Sakura Empire has yet to arrive which jus give them some time to prepare.

A huge battle will occur in the next few hours and Azur Lane will be ready for the arrival of Sakura Empire.
