Chapter 28 - In a Maze
"What if i don't want to? " Alak replied angrily.
Remember when I said he couldn't feel his emotions, well now he's surely feeling his anger more than anything. "You think you're gonna control me?" Alak continued.
He waited for her to reply, or let me say he took a dramatic pause and then said. "No! Cos I'm in control." But they didn't understand he was talking about mind control.
"Couldn't you just show up once, just once! That's so messed up," Aeo shouted as his tears succeeded in blurring his vision.
Kurt kept watching what was going on until he felt a gentle breeze and saw a young woman run inside.
He pulled out his phone and said a message; "Target found. Right here." A few seconds later a message popped up at the top of his phone screen saying: Don't let them go!
Aunt Lina walked in with a young man not far behind her, though he left as soon as she got in and she was not very surprised to see what was going on. It was bound to happen sooner or later.
The only thing that seemed worrisome was Artemis and his electricity . . . .

"I'm sorry I have to make history repeat itself, Aunt Lina," Alak said, as he clicked the remote almost instantly.
"No!" She exclaimed as Alak grabbed Artemis and the two boys jumped into the portal. Not even the remote dropped.
"Oh my Christ! What am I going to do now?" Lina said, running her right hand through her hair.
She paced around endlessly and loudly until a neighbour yelled from her kitchen window, "What gives woman!" "Sorry." She apologized .
She was beyond afraid as to what those children had gotten into. "Why? This is exactly why I didn't want to be in charge of those out of control kids." She said to herself.
"Okay, be cool, be cool. You've got this."
Firstly, she hurried downstairs and drank three whole glasses of water. Then she breathed in and out slowly to get herself.
"Aaarrrggggghhhh!!!" She said out of frustration. "They took the dang remote." She said in tears, already losing her breath.
"I'm gonna call Press . . . I just hops they went to the right place." The phone kept going to voicemail and she felt even more tense.
She immediately remembered her alien ID pass from when they were still captives and hurried back to her room. She climbed up into her ceiling with her flashlight.
She pointed it across the empty space. She found her swiper under a stash of cobwebs. She pulled it out and came out. After all the webs were taken out she took the card and swiped it through it which transported her immediately to the spaceship.
"Armand, I wanna see Presilda now!" Lina said breathlessly.
"What a way to say long time no see," Armand responded.
"I'm sorry but I don't have time to talk." "Okay, I'll take your word for it. But um, Presilda is not available now. She's about to go see the League of Presidents -"
Lina was even more horrified at that point until her mind came home. "I think there's another way you can be of help to me." "I'm all ears."
"Do you happen to know about some stray boys on this ship," she said desperately.
"No, but I've certainly heard about two." He assured. "Thank goodness, that must be Artemis and Alak . . ."
As she was on her way to go, Armand called her back. "Um, where are you hurrying up to? Might I let you know that they're imprisoned for trespassing?" He said.
"What? No, they can't be?"
"Why?"
"They're my nephews! Presilda's children!"
"My oh my. I'll tell the guards around there to release them. You wait here and maybe we can go get some spaghetti at the restaurant here."
"Not a chance. I've still gotta find the last one remember?"
"In that case, I'll come with you. Just hold on one sec." He said.
Armand made a quick call and looked back at Lina in a not so good way.
"What's wrong?" She said, already knowing it was bad news.
"They escaped!"
"Say what?!?!"
"Lets go to the scene of the crime, they said the third one helped em escape."
"Ok, lets go," she said.
"Wait, I need another set to open the door . . . They trapped a guard inside."
"Oh my God!"
"You know for a set of kids, those boys are pretty smart. You did a good job."
"Thanks." She said.
Armand was her ex, but he obviously still had feelings for her. That flirt.
When they got to the cell, they met a small cluster of people around it. Armand then opened the cell with a password, code, eye recognition, thumb print and the keycard with Rob.
Lina ran a hand through her hair and sighed again.
"Don't worry, we're gonna find them. Lets check the security footage back at the front desk." Armand said.
"Can you connect it to your tablet or my phone or something . . . oh, I left my phone at home. You know what, connect it to your tablet and lets go."
They went round and round in mazes. They got to a stop and Aunt Lina heard them arguing. "That's them." She said, pointing to the tablet.
She could clearly hear them saying:
"Another objection. Why did you say that?"
"Are you like I don't know, deaf?" Aeo asked. "No I'm not."
"Can't you hear those people talking about hearing voices?" Aeo said. They didn't hear anything, he was the only one hearing the voices and now they were closer.
"What sort of trick are you playing on us?" Alak said, offended. But when they could see shadows, their eyes widened to the size of Lily pads.
"Artemis, run!" Alak shouted.
"No!!" Lina shouted but when she got there, there was no one there. "They were just here." She said, already so tired and sad. Those boys were scared to death and were trying to hide from everyone and everything. Right now they were like little cubs, trying stay safe in the wild.
"Don't give up, we'll find them, okay." Armand assured.
"Thanks," she said breaking into tears and hugging him. She might've not had feelings for Armand, but she needed that consolation right there and then.
After that, they went round a few more times. "We've been everywhere on this ship. Maybe someone took them out." Lina said, in a very exhausted tone.
"Don't be pessimistic, I let everyone know that they were not to be touched. And besides, we've searched everywhere but one place-" Armand said.
"Where is that?" She asked.
"The hall of discussions . . ." He said confidently . . .

Aunt Lina walked in with a young man not far behind her, though he left as soon as she got in and she was not very surprised to see what was going on. It was bound to happen sooner or later.
The only thing that seemed worrisome was Artemis and his electricity.
"Lina, is this the kind of training you gave them!" Presilda shouted with a stern face.
"Don Don't you DARE! You have no right to even think of scolding her," Aeo yelled in her defense and was propelled to charge a sonic blast at his mom which sent her across the room.
"You guys need to stop this at once!" Frank ordered, already scared that they'd hurt themselves. The walls, floor and ceiling made completely out of titanium and iron and everything hard, it all began to slowly unscrew and pull out, courtesy of Alak.
All the anxiety Artemis was feeling caused him to let out a tremendous and thunderous volt of electricity all over the spaceship.
It shut down all electricity supply in the ship.
People were trying to fix the blackout on the ship but until then, the only source of electricity was Artemis.
Frank and Presilda could not really do anything at that point and
it was only a matter of time before the guards came to their King and Queen's rescue.
"It's coming from here." Aeo heard a man day and the door opened, only to allow a swarm of guards pour in. Aeo shot his hand out blasted the door shut, along with the guards that came in.
They caused a dent in the wall they crashed into.
Frank and Presilda both knew that the spaceship was not going to a good place with all the unscrewed walls and floors and lack of electricity to power the ship.
It could fall down into nothing in a matter of a few minutes. Aeo, the sound man was the architect behind all communication technology dying on a spot.
In the dark, Frank and Presilda maneuvered their way to the door, probably to make a run for it. Alak could sense their movement and said, "So after all this, you're just gonna leave us?"
"Please stop this and listen to us," Frank said. Presilda was going crazy with fear guilt and anger ; think that explains Alak's temperament. Frank on the other hand was trying to strategize on a way to stop them and get the ship back to function at the same time.
After all, he was the head of war strategy when they were still working for the aliens. What was some harmless boys . . . Okay, very harmful boys, but he knew he got it covered.
He dashed for the other door of the H.O.D and was about to leave before Aeo glared at him. Only that glare contained sadness, fear, and yearning. That was all that was needed to freeze Frank in his steps. "So, you're still leaving right?" He said sadly.
"No one is leaving here until we end this discussion. After all, we are in the hall of discussions. "
"Fine, then calm down. Lets talk but please stop what you're doing," Frank said. "Do you understand the sort of pain we're feeling inside right now? We're practically dying inside," Artemis said in a tired voice.
Aunt Lina realised that they must have needed time carry out a plan to stop those children, so she motioned to them to try to calm them down. Besides she was the only one who could handle them. "Please, I think you guys should listen to your parents."
However, as she stepped closer to a charging Artemis, memories of her horrific dream froze her in her steps. The way she saw him in her dream was exactly how he was now, except that he was angry this time. But this was so unlike them to act this way.
Even if the distraction wasn't for a long time, it was enough to get Frank to the other door.
He moved through, by touching the walls and furniture desperately trying to find the panic button.
The electricity came back on and the satellites were back in full function. The panic button was going to disengage robots who were going to capture the boys . . . For their safety.
