Chapter 12 - Everything is Under control.
Taking a deep breath, Aeo narrated his 1 hour experience in a minute.
"Fine.
I was all ready to sing and I was coming with full force well maybe too much force but anyway, the girl who sang before me was soo promising.
I mean the hardest to please judge gave her a six out of ten.
I wanted to sweep the judges off their feet better than she did so I started but this stupid, weird, insane movement in my throat just wanted me to scream and shout really loud.
So I did scream and wrecked the whole stage before and behind me.
I destroyed all the sound equipment which made the effect of the sound wave as massive as a hurricane, I mean it literally took out the judges real hair," he said, air quoting."And when the guards came, that was even worse.
They were asked to take me out so they flung me out which obviously upset me and I merely just tapped the door and my pulse flared up and blasted the stupid door off it's hinges.
They got angry and started chasing me so I had to run around in circles until I got here.... So you better get going now." Aeo said, ending his sermon.
"That was a rush, um lemme see... You lost me at... The beginning." Alak confessed.
"Ugh! Never mind. Your loss anyway." Aeo said, now deep in thought. ‘What the heck was going on with he and Artemis? Why were these strange things happening to them?
These were all questions, but there was no answer.
Aeo only made a silent prayer for Alak to also gets these abnormalities and his should be worse.
But for now all he could do was toss a ball at the wall till it cracks and read a comic book. At least that wasn't abnormal.
Getting into the house, Alak and Aeo found a fidgeting Artemis making his way into the kitchen with some burnt up pieces in his hands.
Aeo casually walked up the stairs to his room, like he was not seeing what was going on.
Alak closed the door and grunted; "Oww!" Alak exclaimed , nursing his palm. "What's wrong with the door Artemis?" "Umm... Long story," Artemis said, continuously shaking.
"Now what's wrong with you? And why're you still in your pajamas." Alak said, demanding a reply and noticing the ash on his pajamas.
"ARTEMIIIS!!!" Aeo shouted angrily from upstairs.
"Oh, oh" Artemis said, feeling heavily guilty.
Alak was getting even more confused ’cos no one was telling him anything and also the house smelt like a burning fuse.
"What did you do in my room?"
"Aeo, you had better tell me what's going on here right now!" Alak said.
"All my comics are messed. He actually burnt them up. What's wrong with you, Artemis?" Aeo yelled on.
Alak approached Artemis slowly. "Start talking Artemis, what were you doing in his room?"
"I'd rather say it all at once..." Artemis was about saying before Alak shunned him. "Woah, woah, woah, woah..... Woa, I'm not going through yet another seminar I'm not going to understand," Alak said, looking at Aeo and remembering his words.
Artemis summed up courage to tell them, well maybe just Alak. "Guys, I... Think I have a problem. No I mean... Um... I have a problem."
"Ayayay, this talk is a hundred percently gonna give a hearing impairment... So.... Bye... Oh and when you guys've finished up with the chit-chat please come clean the ashes away. Thank you," Aeo said.
"No way young man. Get your little butt here right now," Alak said. Aeo reluctantly then came back down to the kitchen counter as he hopelessly defenseless.
"I have powers of electricity. I don't know how, but the first time I noticed it was with Nora.... You know, three months ago, " Artemis said.
"So that means," Aeo began.
"Even if I was struck by lightning," Artemis continued.
"The effects would have cleared by now," Aeo ended.
"Exactly. It's been three months. This is a real problem. I know I'm not a product of some experiment and I was surely not born with it... Right?" Artemis then asked.
"Yes, those are very good questions my dear brother. Let's see, Alak, can you answer any of them?" Aeo asked, knowing fully well that he knew nothing at all about what he was saying whatsoever.
"Um.... I know I'm gonna hate this, but... Aeo, you've been right all along," Alak confessed.
Aeo had a wide ‘I told you so’ smile on it not until Alak started roaring with laughter. "Why're you laughing?" Aeo asked, dropping the jug of water he was pouring into a glass and he just went on with his laughter, dropping his books, bag and everything.
"So you think this is FUNNY?" Artemis asked in a loud tone that thankfully kept Alak quiet.
"I'm going through hell and You say this is funny?" Artemis continued.
"You do know that Aeo's comic books are not the only things that got destroyed right?" Artemis said with confidence.
"Oh yeah, what else for destroyed?" Alak asked with keen interest.
"I melted your door knob," Artemis said, now realising that he shouldn't have said that.
Alak didn't stress, he leaped forward and grabbed his collar.
"Hey, let go of me."
After a fruitless attempt to wriggle out, Artemis tried to push Alak away by pushing his chest. Suddenly, a blue light sparked brightly on his chest, as it blasted him off.

"Lina, you always make my day, I'm just wondering why you can't stay a little bit longer," a handsome young man said. "Don't be silly, Corey," Lina said playfully.
"I've gotta get going," she said.
"Ok then, I'll let you go. But on one condition...." Corey said.
"What is it my love?" She asked with a purr-fect smile. "I'll drive you," he replied.
"Mmhmm, so you want me to go faster huh?" she said, jokingly provoking him. "I'm driving you doesn't mean I want you to go ok my fuzzy rabbit," Corey said, planting a warm kiss on her tender orange flavoured lips.
"Oh whyre why're you giving me a ride then?" Lina said, in between their passionate kiss.
"Cos it's.... Far?" Corey replied.
"Right.... Like a 100 minute ride? Lemme just give the boys a call," Lina said.

The bolt of electricity Artemis emitted to Alak's chest, caused him to be unstable. Surprisingly he was still alive. He was crouched on one knee and held his chest.
Aeo had moved to a single seater chair and was resting his feet in a stylish foot stool until he noticed what was going on.
Amongst the somewhat feeling of guilt, Aeo still felt like Alak deserved every volt of the bolt he received.
I mean it's only reasonable, ’cos Alak never believed his theory, but now he has every reason to believe.
"Artemis..... How... How did.... Y... You... Do that?" Alak questioned, still very astonished.
Pft! What a question. Where were his darn ears when I was saying everything. You just got a taste of your own medicine. We're Aeo's thoughts which he really wanted to say out loud but was frightened because Alak could've done the unthinkable right there and then.
When they both stared at Aeo, his eyes widened in surprise because of their begging faces but mostly because of Artemis’ balled fists which were sparking even more now.
The house phone rang and Artemis was triggered, almost like a robot to electrify it. Well, he did and it blew up and scattered throughout the kitchen island, where it was.
"Why did you do that!?!?" Alak exclaimed in disbelief.
"I don't know. I can't control it," Artemis said, almost in a fit of rage. I mean, what part of I have powers did he not understand.
What's so hard to get in he can't control it. Aeo thought.
He turned to the toaster and blender and let out what was coming. It wasn't really what he could hold back. It was as if his body was rejecting it and everything had to flush out of his system.
Aeo knew it was a foolish thing to say, nonetheless, he said it. "Stop it man, get it together," he pleaded.
"I can't!" Artemis yelled back. Really? Now Aeo's telling me to stop? This keeps getting better and better. Artemis thought, kind of angrily.
He felt it coming again and turned to the T.V. with no intention of hurting Aeo who ducked moments before he would've gotten fried.
The T.V. was left with a hole in the upper left corner then it dropped to the floor.
"Are you alright?" Alak inquired.
"I think so?" Aeo replied. Just then his phone rang.
"Who is it?" Alak and Artemis chanted.
"Aunt Lina."
"Hey Aunt, how's it going? Long time no see," Aeo said casually. "What's up with you? I've only been gone for like three days," Aunt Lina said, laughing.
"But anyways I'll be back tonight ok, so don't miss me too much," she said. "Great..., So like how far away are you from home?" Aeo asked for their safety.
"... It's about an hour and thirty minutes drive," she said.
"Oh..., Ok, see ya then," Aeo said. "So!.... What'd she say?" Alak asked. Aeo then began walking upstairs and replied,"She's an hour and thirty minutes away from here..., Now of course you must be thinking how're we gonna fix all this before she comes..."
And with those few those few words, he disappeared upstairs.
"Ugh! I hate that kid," Alak said (he meant, that attitude). He let Artemis go carefully. Trying not to break him. "You're gonna suffer the consequences you hear me," Alak said, already thinking of what to do and how to do it.
"Wait? So you're gonna blame me now?" Artemis asked, almost letting out his anger but Alak's silence only said Please leave.
So he left, pounding his feet angrily and excessively with each step he took.
Alak so much liked the decor of the parlour and was attracted to it. When had enough savings, he bought exact replicas of the electronics and put them in his room.
Now that the other ones had been destroyed, he had to replace everything with his own set.
This was obviously something he didn't want to do but had to do. So to ease himself of this stress, he yelled out loud. "Arrgghh!!!"
"Quiet down bro, I'm trying to watch my favourite episodes of The Simpsons," Aeo said.
"Say what now?" Alak said, but soon waved it off his mind.
Crossing over to the kitchen counter to replace the toaster, Alak's phone rang.
Holding both toasters, Alak read the caller's ID and read Aunt Lina. Out of shock, he going the phone in his mouth across the kitchen and it landed in a container of water.
Such bad luck!
"No, no, no, no!!" He said. His phone had already soaked up too much water and so it went off.
"I don't know what you're doing there, but Aunt Lina's no less than ten minutes away from the house," Aeo lied naughtily.
"Oh no."
While moving everything, he regretted how far away his room was from the living room.
He tripped over, dropped the already broken T.V. and hurt his nose.
"Aww. You're so gonna pay for that," he said to himself.
It's really tough being the oldest and responsible one.... Sorry Alak!
Send your thoughts.
