Chapter 7
-Marie POV-
"Was I interrupting something?" Newt asked, voice as rigid as my bones right now. "It bloody looks like I was."
"Uh, I didn't think," I patheticallly started to say. I realized that I was still in Minho's arms and that I didn't even let go of him. I let go of Minho, but he pulled me even closer.
"Yes, we were in the middle of something," Minho answered for me. "Do you mind leaving?"
"I wouldn't mind at all," Newt replied, turning on his heels. I watched him limp back to the Glade, leaving me alone with Minho. Still trapped in his embrace. Not that I minded that, but my mind trailed off to what Newt was thinking about now.
"You alright?" Minho asked, seeing my troubled face. He let go of me, and without thinking, I ran off in the opposite direction of the Homestead.
Bad idea. I conveniently forgot the fact that he was a runner, therefore being faster than me. I manage to sprint off for about a minute, before being tackled by him.
"You must really be attached to me," I remarked, noticing how he was now on top of me. Seeing his face a few inches from mine, I started laughing. I didn't even know why. "You know you should really get off of me. It's kinda awkward."
"Geez, it's not like we're taking it to the next step," he grumbled, standing up.
"Minho, did you enjoy tackling me?" I asked accusingly.
"To say the least, I did," Minho grinned, cheeks turning pink. "You know, we should really go back to the Homestead. You haven't really seen what happens after dinner, since you always run off to the woods."
"Fine, I'll go," I huffed. Right away, he lifted me up and slung me over his shoulder. He started jogging towards the Homestead. I shrieked, "Put me down! Put me down!"
"Not until we reach the end of the woods," he said in his normal cocky tone. I kept struggling, until he put me down. That's when I realized where we were at.
Instead of setting me down at the woods, he set me down in the Homestead. Right in front of everyone. I'm screwed.
