"Dear diary, 

I miss my brothers and father. I may be a ninja, but my family is still the closest thing to my heart. As close as the team is, it seems to be falling apart nowadays. 

I haven't seen Willow in weeks. She's off at the siren embassy, being a princess. Yuck. How she does it, I don't know. 

Jay and Kai won't stop fighting. They're yelling about Jay dating Nya, again. 

Lloyd has pretty much taken over the training room. Why, I have no idea. 

Taylor hasn't come down from the rafters in days. I've had to bring her food. I can see she keeps looking at pictures of the Slither Pits around Ninjago. 

Emma won't sleep at night. She is always talking to the moon.

I feel so lost and I want to tell Cole about-"

Hope looked up as her love entered the room they now shared. She quickly closed her diary and locked it.

"Hey babe, what'cha writing?" Cole asked, kissing the master of change on the cheek.

"Its nothing, Rocky," Hope said.

Hope put her diary in a drawer and locked that. Having a love with super strength sucked sometimes, but thanks to Ronin, she had some super, heavy-duty locks to use.

Yeah the drawer wasn't very strong, but Cole was a straightforward-kind of guy. Hope knew her secrets were safe, unless the other boys got into the drawer, but the Ninja stayed out of each others rooms.

Cole came over to her and cuddled against Hope left shoulder, kissing the top of the scar that she hid under her purple t-shirt. As much as Hope enjoyed her love's kisses, she knew he had something to say.

"So, did you need something, Cole?" Hope asked, pulling away. Cole frowned, wanting to cuddle some more.

"Oh, that's right. It's dinner time. Misako wants everyone to sit down at the table, so you have to get Taylor and Emma," the master of earth said, trying to snuggle. 

Hope let out a sigh and glared at her love. He was pawning the job off on to her. 

"Fine, I'll do it for you, but this is the last time," she said, pushing Cole away.

Cole looked at her with his big brown eyes and left the room. Hope punched a soft pillow and then went looking for her teammates.

She found Taylor up in the rafters above her and Kai's room. All Hope had to do was talk her down. Easy, right?

"Taylor, Dinner's ready," Hope shouted up to her friend. The master of storm didn't even look at her friend. She just let out a sigh and turned away.

"Misako wants everyone to eat at the table," Hope said, pulling herself up onto the rafters.

"No," Taylor said in a flat tone. Hope glared at the orange haired ninja. Taylor's attitude had caused her and Willow to butt heads many times, but Taylor and Hope had always been friends. Now, Hope was close to murdering the master of storm.

"Yes, you are. So help me, I will go get Sensai," Hope threaten. Has much as she hated doing it, it got Taylor moving.

She jumped down and took off the the kitchen. Hope smiled. As second in command on the girls' team, she learned how to get everyone moving.

"One down, one to go," Hope said and went looking for Emma.

The master of light was up on deck, looking up at the moon and talking to it. Since Emma's sister Luna was the guardian of the moon, she helped put the moon in the sky every night. Every night, Emma would talk to the moon and the moon would talk back to her. 

Weird, yes, but Hope didn't judge. She was the one with a rat dad, a snake sister, and four turtle brothers. Weird felt normal to her.

"Hey, Ems, Misako wants everyone for dinner," Hope said softly.

Hope knew how sweet Emma was, unlike Taylor, who was just as much of a hothead as her boyfriend, Kai. Emma hated hurting so much as a fly.

"I'm not hungry," Emma said, not looking at Hope.

"I know you are. I know you too well," Hope said, smiling, trying to get Emma to smile as well. It didn't work.

"I wish I could be with her," Emma said looking at the moon.

"I know, but you have other people who care about you," Hope said, kneeling down next to her friend.

"Why?" Emma asked, finally looking into Hope's violet eyes with her pale blue ones.

"Well, you are the sweetest, kindest, calmest ninja around," Hope replied, hugging the master of light.

"Really?"

"Yep, now come on. Dinner's getting cold and Zane cooked tonight," Hope said, helping her friend stand.

The pair walked to the dinning room where a normal dinner with the ninja was in full swing. Well, a normal dinner now a days. 

Having 3 full adults, six pets of different verities, and nine 20 year olds was a bit crazy when they were all normal, but add in powers, and the fact they had a mutant dog that was part plant and a four-headed dragon, it was a wonder that Garmadon, Wu, and Misako hadn't gone insane.

Jay and Kai were yelling at the top of their lungs. 

Zane had muted his hearing while he dished out the food. 

The two Sensais and Misako were drinking tea at the far end of the table with ear plugs in to drown out the noise.

 Taylor had her ear buds in and her music blasting through them. 

Nya looked ready to kill both her brother and her boyfriend, sooner rather then later.

Cole had his nose buried in a book. As much as Hope loved the fact Cole liked reading now, it drove her nuts when he didn't put down his books.

 Lloyd sat near his father, uncle and mother, his normally tidy appearance a mess. His blond hair looked almost brown with all the dirt that coated it, green eyes dull and had dark cycles under them. His hands were bandaged from where he had split his knuckles open with his near nonstop training. His green gi was filthy.

Hope felt her left eye start to twitch. You'd think growing up with four brothers would have made in easier for Hope to deal with this kind of chaos. Well, it sort of did, but Hope had reached the end of her rope.

"ENOUGH!!!" she shouted, getting everyone's attention.

"I've had just about enough of this. We're ninja, not barbarians or monkeys. We are suppose to set a good example to children. We're heroes, for crying out loud," Hope kept yelling.

"So what?" Lloyd said, rolling his eyes.

Hope stormed over to the ultimate spinijituz and glared at the little legend. Lloyd just rolled his eyes again at the master of change.

Hope's temper rarely made an appearance, but on those few times in did, it was best not to be the focus of her wrath. An angry Hope was a very terrifying thing, something only a few people could claimed to have survived. And Lloyd was not on that list.

Hope bubbled the green ninja in a force field and stomped out of the room. The now trapped Lloyd followed in his new purple hamster ball.

The ninja heard a door open and close and then the sound of the hose turning on.

"COLD COLD SO COLD. THIS IS SO NOT FUNNY HOPE!" Lloyd shouted. It didn't take ninjdroid to figure out Hope was giving Lloyd a bath, on the deck, with the hose that was only cold water. Yep, it was official. Hope was mad.

"Oh yes it is. I told you to take a shower last week. But you decided not to. So this is what you get for not listening to me," Hope said, an evil laugh spilling from her mouth.

"MOM," The great green ninja screamed.

"You should have listened to her the first time," Misako yelled back. She may have been his mom, but even she knew it was best to let Hope finish what she stared.

"And done," Hope said, turning off the water.

She came back in followed by a dripping wet Lloyd Garmadon. Hope chucked a towel at him and turned her focus on Jay and Kai, who had not stopped fighting.

"You have to the count of three to stop fighting or I will turn you into toads," Hope said, an edge in her voice. Meanwhile, Lloyd dried himself off the best he could.

The masters of fire and lightning ignored Hope.

And they got turned into frogs in a flash of purple light.

"Cole, put your book away. Taylor, no earphones at the table. Zane, turn off your mute. And EVERYONE SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP!" Hope yelled and then took her seat next Cole. Everyone did what they were told.

"Um, Hope what about Jay and Kai?" Nya piped up. Hope waved her hand and the two boys turned back to normal.

"Now, let's eat," Hope said digging into her food. Everyone looked at her and then dug in as well. Yeah, Hope was weird but she knew what she was doing.

They were the weirdest family known to ninja kind.
