Part 5: Sandor wears a ballgown
"Finally!" Ro exclaimed. "It took you soooooo long to realize Sophie!"
"Realize what?" Sophie asked nervously. Ro rolled her eyes.
"That Lord Hunkyhair over there has been plotting how to tell you he looooves you since the day you met!" She shook her head. "So oblivious," she whispered. Keefe turned red as a tomato.
Blushing, Sophie realized something. "Oh," Sophie said. "That's why you call me Miss Oblivious. Cause I was oblivious to Keefe." Ro nodded."Also, thank you Miss Oblivious. I now get to see Sandor wearing a pink ballgown. I bet him that this conversation would end in a love confession, and I won." Sophie and Keefe refused to meet each other's eyes. Sophie hoped she wasn't as red as she felt. A very grumpy Sandor appeared from around the corner. Sophie stifled a laugh at the thought of him in a pink ballgown. He sighed, glaring at Ro. Ro smirked, tossing her purple pigtails over her shoulder.
"I would pay to see Gigantor wearing that dress." Keefe quipped, "but um, how are you gonna find his size?"
Ro rolled her eyes. "Grizel will help. Besides he owes her a round of dancing. Don't worry Sandor, you'll look adorable twirling around the dance floor in your ballgown." Sandor looked seriously worried. Ro smiled, using a knife as a toothpick. Sophie couldn't help it, she burst out laughing. Keefe snorted and then started laughing as well. Ro smirked, while Sandor looked miserable. They were rocking back and forth laughing, teasing Sandor.
"Sandor...dancing...in a pink....ballgown!"
"Sandor, twirl for us!"
When they all finally calmed down (even Sandor had let a smile slip out) Sophie had to wipe tears of laughter from her eyes. It had felt good to laugh, she felt a weight off her shoulders. She hadn't realized it but breaking up with Fitz had been weighing her down. Ro and Sandor went back inside, Sandor having suffered enough humiliation. She put her head on Keefe's shoulder. He stiffened in surprise at first but slowly relaxed. He put his arm around her as they watched the sunset, a mixture of beautiful red, golds, with purple around the edges, and pink clouds. Sophie felt a cloak being thrown over her as she fell asleep, head on Keefe's shoulder.
