Chapter 6
ㅡ
The observer.
ㅡ
A man living in a small apartment, studied the human mind and the human behavior preciselyㅡ psychology. His parents didn't want him to be a psychologist when he grew up, they've often told him to be a military officer, or a soldier. But he didn't really like that idea at all.
Jung Hoseok was his name. People who know him, and is quite close to him, doesn't have any idea that he knows and he can tell when a person is lying to him. That's why he didn't really have friends, because most of the times, when he tries to make some friends, those people usually end up lying in front of his face, that's why he has some trust issues.
He spends his time by working as a cashier in a fast food restaurant, and sometimes, he'll talk to people online, because that way, he won't know when they're telling the truth or not. That's why he liked his internet or online friends more than those people he see every single day. Even if they're lying or not, he doesn't care at all.
"Welcome sir. Can I take your order?" He diverts his attention to the next customer he's about to serve.
The guy looks up the menu and purses his lip into a thin line before answering his question, "I'll have A3, but I don't like hot chocolate, can I get coffee instead?"
He nods, "Yes, of course. A3 but coffee instead of hot choco," He presses some buttons on the screen and grabs his small sticky note. "Dine in or take out?"
"Take out."
"Name?"
"Why do I need to tell you my name?" The guy asks him, he looked kind of annoyed.
"You know, we'll put your name on the cup. Starbucks man."
The guy raised one of his eyebrows, "But this isn't Starbucks, man."
Hoseok rolled his eyes and looked at the guy once more, "Are you going to tell me your name or not?"
The guy sighed in response, "Alright, fine," He fixed his hoodie. "Suga."
Hoseok immediately wrote his name on the sticky note and placed it on the little gap behind him, someone takes the note and makes his order. After that, he takes the guy's money, and tells the guy to move aside and wait for his order while he serves more people. But his eyes never left the guy, there was something odd about him.
When Suga's order arrived, Hoseok handed it to him with a forced smile. Their manager always told them to smile at customers after all.
"Here's your order sir, have a nice day and please come again," Hoseok gave him his brightest smile and bowed down, Suga nods as a response and leaves.
Hoseok couldn't look away. There was something wrong about that guy, but Hoseok doesn't know whatㅡ yet. The moment he tried to remember that little conversation he had with him just a few minutes ago, he had a smirk formed in his lips.
"He lied about his name."
