~Prolouge~
Technoblade stared at the bloody boy before him, blue eyes turning red as he stared at his wounded little brother. He looked close to death, chest barely rising and falling as he laid on the bloody ground, one wing chopped off and wound still flowing with blood, seeming to have no plan of stopping anytime. The area around them was destroyed, smoking with some small fires still crackling around them. It was a horrible scene, one that Techno was familiar with yet still felt the gaping pit of fear.
Tommy, his young little brother, layed face first in the grass, one wing ripped off, bloody, and looking too skinny for any teen actually to be. Technoblade knelt down, rolling the boy over to see the tear tracks still off his dirty face. If that small ragged sounds didn’t leave the boy's mouth, the piglin would have thought he was dead. The pinkette scooped the boy up carefully, not caring if his clothes got bloody, and quickly started his way back to his cabin.
He didn’t know how long he had until the blond finally gave up on living, quickly fishing out a health potion to shove down the kid's throat. It didn’t take long for some results, minor cuts and bruises quickly disappearing from the boy's body. Well, that was a good sign. With a huff Techno got ready for the long walk home, wishing he had decided to bring his horse with him.

Techno was stitching up Tommy’s horrid wound on his back, contemplating what to do from this moment on. What could he do? He wasn’t good at taking care of people, let alone a badly injured teen who was still not awake even hours after arriving at the cabin. Techno was worried and unsure of what to do, he didn’t even know if he was just overreacting and Tommy was just still resting and would wake up soon. But either way, as he finished stitching up the wound he pulled out of the communicator, sending a quick message to his father for help. With that he sat the device down, pulling a clean white shirt over the boy's scarred body, and then pulled the bed sheets up and over him.
He stared at the boy's face, seeing the few new scars that rested on his twisted expression. Even in sleep, Tommy looked scared, making Technoblade wonder why the teen seemed to feel that way all the time. Even during Pogtopia the blond had been on edge, seeming to be waiting for something to happen. Maybe that’s just how he had survived this long, always on edge and expecting the worst to happen.
Technoblade never got to talk to Tommy much during Pogtopia, the boy barely leaving Wilbur’s side. He watched Tommy try and help Wilbur as best he could, forcing the man to eat, making the man go to bed when he was able to convince him to, telling Wilbur that they would get L’manburg back when he started going on a crazed tangent about blowing the country up. Tommy was determined to survive, something Techno had been proud of his little brother for. Tommy had tried to fight the world, and Technoblade knew if given the chance he’d take it on head first.
It was sad seeing the light drain from his eyes and face as Pogtopia progressed, still having that fighting spirit but looking as if he could give two shits if he ended up surviving in the end. He threw himself into situations he didn’t need to be in, and that worried Techno as well. He seemed to care very little about what happened to him, putting what Wilbur needed from him first and protecting his friends with both his fighting skills and his own body.
Maybe he had always been that way, but slowly he had only gotten worse to the point he’d die for those who needed it. He was like a blind soldier back then, following Wilbur’s orders with barely any questions. Only once had Tommy tried to stop Wilbur, and he had failed in his mission.
He doesn’t know why Tommy would act that way, and maybe he wouldn’t know for sure ever, but he knew there were a lot of horrors present in Tommy’s life now. Even before he joined this SMP, he knew he had other negative experiences (them leaving being one of them). No one comes to a server like this and stays this long unless they do. Even if it seemed like a harmless SMP at first, only slowly becoming what it is. No one without any experience would live long in these conditions.
With a tired sigh, the older brother stood, making his way out of the room quietly shutting the door behind himself. He’d have to wait for their father to arrive so he can properly look over Tommy, seeing how he knew a bit more about injuries than healing than he did. Maybe he could even figure out why the poor boy hadn’t woken up yet.
He started making tea to hopefully relax his nerves when his cabin door slammed open, making the pinkette jump in his seat. In came his father, a disheveled version of him, as he tried to catch his breath and threw his coat off somewhere into the living room. He looked towards Technoblade with eyes that were running wild with too many emotions. “Where is he?” Techno snapped out of his surprised state before pointing up the ladder that lead to the second floor.
“First door.” Philza zipped away, taking the eldest sibling by surprise. He took another sip of his tea, looking out the window that was in the small dining room. Philza probably flew here when he got the message if he got here this quick, which made Techno almost hurt at the thought of Philza panicking that bad. He wasn’t even sure if his wounds were that bad, but he did know that a wing getting cut off and bleeding profusely was.
He took care of what he knew, and now that Phil was here hopefully Tommy would be in better care than he would be with Technoblade. Either way, he felt that that night would be a long one for both Phil and Techno. He’s sure the man would need help finding things and getting things, as Techno did know he was in a worse state than he could take care of.

Technoblade had, as expected, ended up staying up most of the night helping Philza take care of Tommy. Tommy had many injures that the piglin hadn’t known he had, which made him relieved that his father had decided to show up when he did. The whole time the avian sat by Tommy’s side, blue eyes watching the other’s breathing as if he was worried the teen would stop in the middle of the night.
“He’ll never fly again.” Philza had said when the room was dead silent. Techno had been sitting in a chair on the other side of the teens bed, his cloudy eyes looking up towards his father as he began to speak. “I never got to fly with him, Techno. I’ll never get to fly with him.” The poor man quickly wiped some escaping tears away, bowing his head afterwards. The piglin hybrid felt his heart squeeze at his fathers words, frowning as he looked down towards his little brother. “Why weren’t we there for him, Techno? Maybe if we had been there none of this would have happened.” The mans words where quiet, the man obviously trying to stop himself from crying any more than he already had. The pinkette felt his fists tighten as he himself fought off the sadness he felt.
“I don’t know dad… I don’t know.” He didn't know what to say to him. They Both had been in their own little worlds, Philza assuming the teen would have been fine on his own and Techno trying to retire still holding a petty grudge against the boy. It didn’t take long for the avian to start sniffling as he cried once again, Techno looking at his own lap as he listened to his father.
“He’s just a kid… goddess he’s just a kid.” Techno ended up going to bed, but still it took him a long time to actually fall asleep. Philza’s words had kept him up, his tired eyes wide awake as the guilt and regret gnawed at his heart. He was right, Tommy Minecraft was just a kid, a teen, that was just trying to survive in a SMP that seemed to want everyone dead. It was every other day that some sort of conflict would begin, leading to battles or even worse wars. Why had they thought that Tommy would have been fine on his own?

Two Days Later. . .
Techno had been in the living room reading silently when he heard Philza saying that the Tommy was waking up. He was quick to save his page and run up to the second story to see Philza trying to shake awake the blond boy. “Tommy, Tommy? Wake up!” Techno looked at the still injured boy, grabbing onto his fathers own shoulders to pull him away. He still had a few broken ribs and the two hoped that they would be fully healed in a few days, but with how Philza was shaking him it might only make it worse.
“Stop shaking him he’s still hurt!” Techno watched the sad look that overtook his face as he watched the still sleeping teen.
“Right… Sorry.” His voice was small as he spoke, fists tightening at his sides. “He’s still out of it… do you think it was a random jolt?” Technoblade looked towards his little brother, watching his face for a long time before glancing down as one of his fingers twitched. He hummed in thought.
“At least he’s moving now… We know he’ll wake up soon now.” Philza smiled sadly, making his way towards the bedroom door a few seconds later.
“I need some tea and a good nap, you think you’ll b fine babysitting?” The piglin took a seat next to Tommy’s bed as the man spoke. Tommy looked less like he’d been living through hell and more like a malnourished kid since he began getting the health potions, which made both Techno and Phil relieved. One of the two would feed Tommy, always having to be liquid foods due to the fact the boy was out cold and couldn’t eat anything else.
Snapping out of his slowly descending mind he looked towards his father that was still waiting for an answer. The eldest son smiled, nodding before looking back at Tommy. “Okay, I’ll be back soon.” With that the door shut indicating that the man finally left to go and rest.

O
ne Week Later. . .
It was like that for a while, about a week. Tommy would start moving, and they would think that it was finally the day that the teen would wake up. But he never did. After a while Philza started sleeping in the same room as Tommy, refusing to leave the boy's bed side unless Techno basically dragged him out. It hurt Technoblade to see his father like this, praying to the goddess of death to not take another one of his sons as he tried to stay awake all night just in case the blond woke up and needed him.
It was also weird seeing the man care for someone else that wasn’t him. The pinkette guessed with how many years it was just him and Philza against the world it was an odd thing to see the avian do for other people. Either way Technoblade looked after the man as he looked after Tommy.
Tommy by now was healed as best as they could manage for the boy, his stitches even being pretty much healed as well. Philza had decided to take a break from worrying over the teen and take some time for himself. He was going to take a nap in his own house, which Technoblade had been busy making while the father was watching over the teen in his house.
It would be the first time Phil would see it and the pinkette hoped he would like it. Of course knowing the old man he’d rearrange things to his own liking, which he would be expecting when he went inside the little cabin. The piglin hybrids had been in the kitchen heating up some water to make tea when he heard something from upstairs, his ears jerking in the direction.
TOMMY!
Tommy is awake!
Pog!
GO SEE TOMMY!
Hearing the voices he rushed upstairs, hoping that they weren’t tricking him. After so long playing the waiting game it would be a relief to know that the teen had finally awoken from his coma. What he didn’t expect was what would happen next…
