It's been Night

Avni was tensed as Neil's team went to mission of seizing the weapon and they still haven't reached yet. She was moving to and fro.

"Shinde... Did you get any information from them.... Are they fine?.. " Avni asked one the police. Some of the police team were there for Medical team's safety.

"Yess Dr. ..... The mission was successful...and that's what I received... I don't know anything in particular.. " He replied while Avni thanked God but still was tensed for them. She prayed for everyone safety and was still waiting for him.

Sooner they heard the sound of their vehicle and Avni rused out from the camp with her other colleagues. Her eyes searched for that one person.

DD stepped out of the van and his hand was full of blood along with his chirt. Avni gasped from the sight and rushed towards him.

"DD Kya hua? " She asked him in concern  and looked at him from top to toe for any injury. And his arm has cut. Avni was confused why his front side shirt is all smeared with blood but she didn't asked him. Dd's eyes were filled with tears.

"DD.. " Sunheri came near him and worried sticked on her face.

"Sunheri take DD with you.." Avni said while she nodded while DD resisted.

"Nahi Dr. Avni... I am fine... It's about Sirji.." Avni looked at him in shockness when she heard that. Her hands turned cold. And she looked at him blankly while her lips were at rest having no courage to ask him what happened to him.

"What happened to Neil? ...Where is he?" Sunheri asked him while Avni didn't uttered a word.

He is coming in another van with the seized weapons...And.." He said while Avni left her deep breath which she was holding on till now hearing that he is coming.

When he was about to say what happened to him the van reached while everyone rushed towards it.

He was in passenger seat and while other police man driving. He came out while Avni saw his arm which was full of blood as he was shot. But he seemed to care less about it. He didn't noticed her as he was in a call with his higher officials. Avni stood still looking at him.

"Sirji... You have to get treated... " DD said to him moving behind him.

"We have other things to take care of DD...We want to keep all these safe untill we hand over them to our higher officials... Did you arranged some safer  place ...? " He didn't bothered about what he told and was still talking about work. Avni moved towards and turned him in a go.

"Ahh!! " He gasped as it was painful.

"You have to get treated... " She said sternly .

"Avni.. It's nothing..  I didn't get shot.. Just the bullet passed by... Piercing the Skin..Thats it" He said as like that is nothing. He can clearly see how tensed and worried she is. He again turned towards DD getting no reply from him.

"You have done your duty... Just let me do mine.. And you have to cooperate with  me... So JUST COME... " She said sternly looking at him angryily and hold his hand and dragged him towards the camp.

She made him to sit and took the cotton and her eyes filled with tears but she just controlled it and she turned towards him. All the while Neil was looking at her.

"Shirt utaro... " She said not looking at him

"I am alright Avni..." He said to make her less worry and started unbuttoning but Avni helped him take it off and she didn't paid any attention to him but was busy in treating him while he sighed.

" DD.. What I asked you... Is that place ready...? " He asked him who was standing there with his head down.

"Yess Sirji.. " He replied.

"Hey Wait!.. Did you get your wound treated?.. " He asked him while he simply looked at him.

"Just tell him Neil.. He is still standing there not even listening to me.. " Sunheri said angryily glaring at Dd as he didn't listen to her but stubbornly waiting for Neil to get treated first.

"Dd... What's that mean? ... " He asked while Avni looked at him giving him 'look..who is talking ' Kinda look as he too didn't cared about himself while Neil looked at her and understood her expression and looked down.

"Sirji... It's because of me.. That you got hurt... If you wouldn't have stepped in between.. " Before he could complete Neil interrupted

"You would have died... " Neil replied while Avni stopped for a second hearing him while Sunheri was shocked.

"Stop whining like a kid.. And Go and get yourself treated....Its an order. " He said sternly looking at him as he knows only then he will go while He looked down and sunheri took him with her.

Avni looked at them moving and went near the table and put on the gloves and Mask and again continued her work of stitching his wound. Neil was still looking at her.

"Ahh!!.. Ahh!!... " He put up a drama hissing oftenly when she was sticthing his wound to gain her attention.

"Hello.. Ms. Doctor... Don't take any revenge on me for you being angry on someone else... It's paining for real.. " He said while she stopped and looked at him angryily as he is talking like he can't able to see that she is angry on him. He sighed as she didn't speak again.

"I wonder who gave you the certification of Doctor... You are not patient at all and more than that you are a angry bird..... Will someone Keep a angry face while treating a cute patient like me... " He said praising himself.

"Will you stop talking or should I stitch your mouth as well...? " She said still doing her work. While Neil looked at her in horror when she said that and sat quietly while Avni smiled seeing his pout. As she was wearing her mask, Neil couldn't able to see it.

She was done with it and removed her gloves. She went near the shelf and fetch some pain killers. And saw him who stood up from the bed and was trying to wear his shirt.

"Where do you think you are going?... " She asked and went near him and took off his shirt. She made him to sit.

"Take this.. " She said giving him the tablet and the bottle.

"This tablet is not to kill me right... " He teased her while she crossed her hand across her chest.

"I wish!!.. I wish I can give you something like that... If it's not a crime.. I would have definitely give you.. " She said gritting her teeth while Neil chuckled seeing her cute angry face and pulled her nose playfully. He took the tablet.

"You are not allowed to go anywhere... You have to stay here untill I say to you as I am your doctor... " She said like a strict teacher while he nodded obeying her like a good boy.

"You can directly tell me that you want me to stay with you... " He again started to tease her.

"Let me call Varun and ask him to do night shift today.... He will take care of You and Dd.. " She said picking her mobile to call her colleague to tease him back.

"No... No... No... " He said while she stopped and looked at him.

" You know I can recovery super soon if I have some Pretty doctor like you... Who I can stare without blinking my eyes... " He said shamelessly looking at her.

"So straight forward... Aren't you? " She asked moving towards him and covered him with duvet as it's cold outside and he was shirtless and she sat on the stool beside him.

"I am... And I don't mind being like that.. " He said blinking his eyes while she just stared at him.

"Ahem!.. I dont think I will be safe here " He said covering himself properly seeing her looking at him.

"Argh!!.. I should have called Varun for real.. " She said scartching her head with a annoyed face. While Neil laughed looking at her

The Next Day

Neil woke up from sleep and his head immediately turned towards right and found her sleeping keeping her head on her hand which is rested on the bed. He smiled seeing her and remember how they were talking till late night.

He pinned her baby hair behind her ears and smiled widely.

After an hour

She woke up and found him no where. And she was covered with a duvet. She frowned seeing him not there.

"Yeh Neil bhi na.. " She said in a complained tone and left.

She came back after getting freshen up and found Neil and DD nowhere.

"How is DD now? " Avni asked Sunheri who was preparing today's list.

"He is fine Avni... " She replied with a smile.

"I met Neil ...He said he is fine too....But how come??..The sitching takes time to heal Right?...I said him but he said he had some immediate work to do And they both got left.... " She said to her as like complaining her while Avni looked at her sighing.

It's been 2 hours and from Morning Avni didn't saw him. She frowned thinking of it and continued with her check ups. Within sometime, he came back and first thing he did was to see her and he searched for her and went to her. He saw her and quietly lied on the empty bed and covered himself with duvet fully.

She didn't notcied him and was checking one by one and finally she reached him.
She checked the list for the Patient's name.

"Good Morning Mr. Siddhart... How you have been? " She asked smiling and was confused as the person was covering fully with duvet.

"Mr.siddhart ? " She called him while Neil took his duvet off making Avni shocked.

"I never had an idea that you can be so nice to your patients... Then why aren't you like this for me ... Hello Mr. Siddhart.. How have you been... Seriously? " He said and immitated her with a pout.

"Because they listen to me... Unlike you..who disappear in morning after I told you..you should not go anywhere " She said and moved towards the next bed.

"Oyee hello... " He followed her while they were fighting like angry birds and after that Avni lectured him and DD together for God knows how long for not worrying about themselves.

"I know it's important work for you both... Atleast you could have checked for yourselves with me or anyone else... Especially You Neil... Because you are injured badly than Dd... " She said while DD let out a laugh seeing Neil as he is getting scold. Neil glared at him making him stop.

"Kaan pakad ke Sorry.. " He said holding his ears while Avni let them go.

A Week Later,

He recoverd soon and again they all got busy with their work. The seized weapons were been handed over to his higher officials. And everything was going fine.

Once a day

"Dr... Dr... " Someone came running while Avni heard it and went outside the camp to see some man.

"Kya hua? " She asked him.

"There was accident on the road... Can you please come with me.. I don't know what to do... I came rushing here after seeing that.... " He said while she was shocked.

"Are they injured badly? " She asked him

"I don't know Dr.... One boy....There was all blood...I don't know... I just rushed here after seeing it" The person seemed so tensed while Avni looked at him.

Sunheri reached there seeing her talking to someone.

"Kya hua Avni..? " She asked her

"There is an emergency... I will go.. You just take care of everything here... ..If I they are injured badly I will call you and you just send me van...Let me fetch the first aid bag." She informed her and went to take the bag.

"I will also join you... " She said

"It's okay Sunheri ... I will handle it... Only one person is there... " She said while she nodded. She went in the camp while Sunheri followed her.

"But.. The accident was in The road which means outer... He could have taken him to the hospital right? " Sunheri asked while Avni looked at her as she is also thinking the same.

"I am also thinking the same Sunheri... But.. See.. How tensed he is.... I will just go and check.. " She said and moved out

She moved with that person to the accident spot.

After a hour or more.

Neil frowned as he couldn't able to find her in any of the camps. He then went to Sunheri and saw her already tensed. He looked at her.

"Sunheri.. What happened?.. Why are you tensed?.. And Where is Avni.. I couldn't able to find her anywhere? "He asked her while Sunheri stood up and moved towards him.

" Neil... " She told everything to him while Neil was confused.

"I couldn't able to reach her as well... " She said tensed.

He called one of his colleague who are incharge in the that place.

"Is there any accident case reported? " He asked him.

"No sir!... Here everything is fine!.. No such case is reported here... " He said while Neil was shocked as he understood that she got kidnapped.

"I want you to check every hospitals there and let me know if there is any such case is reported and whether you find Dr. Avni there... I want it immediately " He gave an order to them and put off the call.

He ran his fingers through his head as he was highly tensed and don't know what to do. Still their team was searching about the gangster and all they got is loose ends and they couldn't able to find anything exactly. And he don't know where to go and how to find Avni. When they checked last time about the place where the gangster mens were hidden, they were not there. He went to his camp strightly and just punched on the bench in anger as he feels so helpless at the time.
