at the office avni was working on a presentation in her cabin when neil called her to his cabin with a file

Avni: yes sir I'll bring it right away she said talking professionally to neil and placed the phone down taking a deep long breath

She got up taking The file and headed to neil room

Neil looked up from his laptop and then back down

Avni: your file sir... neil looked at avni and forwarded his hand to take the file

Neil: sit he said looking at the file  while getting up from his seat

Avni sat down ready to take her notes while neil sat on the chair next to her.

Neil: we need to get the blue prints and find the actual quotes of this place..about the presentations make sure to add charts and how we can get profit ..we also....he continued telling her things while looking at the file as avni was writing everything he was saying.

He looked up when he was done while avni was noting down the last bit... a smile came onto Neil's face seen how beautiful avni looked as she was noting things down while her hair was blowing slightly due to the wind...suddenly his vision was getting blocked as her hair started to cover the side of her face

Avni went still when she felt Neil's fingers brushing against her skin as he moved her hair behind her ears...her heartbeat increased as her lips parted...without looking at him she got up and turned to leave when neil held her wrist which frustrated avni

Avni: dont touch me becuase u dont have that rights... she said turning to face him as she freed her hand

Neil:and what makes u say that he said raising his eyebrows as he stood up

Avni: because my engagment has been fixed so be professional dont try to get personal

Neil : oh really ? To who ?

Avni was about to answer when she realises she doesnt know who the guy is as she had no interest to know

Neil: what happend ? Dont have an answer...or r u lying?  he said

Avni:its none of your business ...and dont worry u will soon know when u attend my engagement and see me with someone else...then believe me  she said turning again to leave

Neil got hold of avni wrist and pulled her closer making her bump against  his chest.

Neil:try as much as u want but even I'll see how u get engaged to someone else

Avni: like this and u wont be able to do anything  she said snapping her fingers pushing him away and walked out of Neil's cabin while neil smirked

Neil:even I cant wait for u to be engaged avni....engaged to me..and then your reaction to see that the person u r getting engaged too is none other than me  he said smiling from ear to ear

Avni reached to her cabin and sat down covering her face with her hands she was hell pissed of with neil coming close everytime but she was more pissed at the way her body would react to his every touch

Avniv: u cant let it effect u avni ...very soon u will be engaged to someone else..stop this feelings from coming out before u get hurt badly... AGAIN

Suddenly avni recieved a call on her phone from neela

Avni: hi maa she said after taking a deep breath

Neela: bacha u r not busy right

Avni:no what happened she said fiddling with her pen that was on the table

Neela: your engagement and wedding date has been fixed...engagement is in 2 days and wedding is in a week

The pen from avni  hand dropped she recalled her words to Neil few mins back

dont worry u will soon know when u attend my engagement and see me with someone else...then believe me 

Neela: bachaa r u listening she asked

Avni came back to present hearing Neela speak

Avni:haa...haan maa I'm listening she said...her eyes slowly welled up a bit

Neela:what happened avni r u not happy ?

Avni: maaa I'm happy...u all r happy so I am too she said speakinga normally

Neela: bacha if there is anything u need to say then do tell me

Avni:there is nothing maa I am just surprised that it's too soon anyways maa I  need to get back to work bye

Neela ended the call after saying bye and smiled

Neela: I know u must be sad but when u know the person u r getting engaged to is none other than neil then only u will be the happiest one she said to herself

Meanwhile in avni cabin avni had looked up when shruti spoke

Shruti: what is so soon avni ?

Avni looked up when she heard shruti voice

Avni: woh actually my engagement is in 2 days she said after few secs

Shruti: WHAT...u r getting engaged and u didnt tell me

Avni: everything happened so soon that I didnt get time to tell I was going to tell once the date was fixed

Shruti:if u hadnt told I would have forcefully came she said sitting opposite avni while avni smiled a little bit

Avni: u know na I would invite you

Shruti: u have no choice..acha what is your soon to be fiance name she said looking at avni teasingly

Avni looked at shruti as she herself doesnt know

Avni: u will come na then ask your self when u see him she said coming up with an answer

Shruti: surprise haan...no worries I love surprises I'm going to tell this to everyone she said running out of the cabin

Avni: shruti wait she sid running behind her

Shruti went out and stood on a chair grabbing everyone's attention

Shruti: attention attention everybody today I am making an announcement

Avni looked at shruti and at the same time neil came out from his cabin when he saw shruti standing on a chair

Shruti: i have a breaking news which is our avni is getting engaged in 2 days she said clapping while all were surprised and then smiled while congratulating avni

Neil  was happy knowing about the date...he saw how avni was smiling as all were giving her good wishes but he was able to tell that smile wasnt for real at all

Shruti: sir she said noticing neil who was standing there with his hands in his pockets

Avni and the rest of the colleagues turned their attentions towards neil while shruti also got down amd stood near avni

Neil: what happend y did u all stop seen me he said walking towards them and looked at avni who wasnt looking at avni

Shruti: sir woh actually avni told us she will be getting engaged soon so...she said letting her sentence trail of

Neil: haan avni told me about that as she said she wanted a day of for her engagment shopping

Avni looked at neil with her eyes widened

Shruti: so she will be getting a day of right

Neil: of course she will be and also she gets a day of for her engagement too he said smiling

Shruti looked at avni and elbowed her

Neil: now please do get back to work once u all finsh congratulating avni

Rahul: sir will u be coming to the engagment too asked another staff

avni looked at rahul and then at neil but when she saw neil was about to look at her she looked away.

Neil:of course I will be I have to be there right he said smiling and walked away

Avni saw Neil go.

Avni:, I just need to talk to Neil sir about the presentation she said and excused herself while others got busy about their clothes and all

Avni: y did u lie saying u gave me a day off she said speaking as she neared neil and stood behind him

Neil stopped and turned around

Neil: u r getting engaged right so I'm sure u need a day to get things for your engagment right he said and walked away while avni looked at him with a frown

Avni to herself: y is he so normal

Neil went back to his cabin and as he entered he saw shweta calling

Neil: hey mom

Shweta: tillu guess what I got good news for you she said

Neil smiled knowing what shweta was going to say yet he pretended

Neil: what good news mom

Shweta: your engagement is in 2 days and wedding is in a week

Neil: really? That was actually quick

Shweta: haina...gods I just cant believe you will be getting married so soon

Neil: me too mom he said going near the window as he looked outside

Shweta: acha tomorrow we will be going to get your ring haan so cancel going to office or reach there late

Neil heard a knock on the door as he saw the receptionist walking in gesturing him the time as he had a meeting soon..neil nodded while the receptionist left

Neil: ok mom got to go have a meeting soon

Shweta:, ok tillu bye

In the evening avni had reached home where her family happiness was clearly seen on their face due to her wedding and engagement date been fixed...she faked a smile and headed to her room on the pretext of freshening up

The next day

Avni was given a day off and during that day she was taken to the parlour and also to purchase the   engagment ring and outfit unaware that neil was getting the same thing done.

During all this riya was sending neil pics of avni while he was smiling seen her...he knew she wasnt happy but knew once she knows the while truth of y he did everything her anger will vanish

On the engagement day everyone was getting things ready for the engagment that was going to be held at night at the metha mansion

Neela and hetal were checking the menu while ashish and ketan were handling the decorators

Meanwhile the parlour lady had come to get avni ready and did her facial before doing other things

Later on in the evening 

Avni was sitting all lost in her room...she recalled how she told Neil that she will get engaged to someone else right in front of him but somewhere she knew that she didnt want that to happen but wont admit it

Avni looked up to see herself all ready to get engaged to whoever her parents have chosen for her unaware that it's the person who has occupied her mind despite trying not to think about him

Avni quickly wiped her tear when she saw the door open and saw riya and juhi walk in

Juhi: avni come she said and both helped her get up

As they were walking towards the door riya gestured juhi who nodded

Juhi: Riya has neil come

Avni had her ears open hearing Neil's name while she started to play with her finger nervously

Riya: haan he came ...he was with ali when I saw him

Avni started to slow down even more thinking neil arrived to her engagement

Riya: what happeend avni u ok? She said as she and juhi noticed avni slowing down

Avni:yh I'm ok she said looking at riya and gave a fake smile

Juhi:, avni if u want to think about this engagement then ...but avni cut her off

Avni:no juhi I dont want to think about anything im not going to think about canceling the engagment she said

Juhi and riya nodded but both smile inwardly

Everyone saw riya and juhi brining avni down while avni had kept her gaze low as she didnt want to make any sort of mistake by looking at neil

Neil saw avni and how beautiful she looked but there was only one thing missing which was her smile...he noticed how she didnt even look up once while walking down

As juhi and riya made avni stand on the stage avni felt her heart beating 10 types faster she was able to feel Neil's gaze on her

Dayawanti: shall we get the engagment prepration started.

Bebe:Jee of course

Shweta gestured neil to go up the stage while shruti and other colleagues eyes widened and looked at each other

Ashish: bacha dont u want to see your would be fiance before getting engaged to him he said standing in front of avni so that she doesnt see neil

Avni smiled a little as she looked at ashish she wanted to run away and not see who she had agreed to get engaged to

Aman: come on di close your eyes he said as he placed his hand over her eyes

Avni:aman stop she said about to remove his hands but ashish stopped her

Ashish: bacha wait dont he said

Ashish bought neil in front.... the gang was waiting for the bomb while both the family were waiting for avni "happy" reaction

Aman slowly removed his hand from avni eyes and ashish told her to open her eyes

As avni slowly opened her eyes her vision was blurry for a sec until it became clear..for a sec she went still seen a smiley neil in front of her

Avni didnt know how to react was neil actually standing in front of her ?

She turned to her family who gave her a huge smile while she saw another few people standing too(Khanna family)..

Her eyes moved to the gang who smiled and then she moved her gaze back to neil to see him still standing there..
Thinking she might be imagining him she looked around the guests to find him among them but she couldnt as he was right in front of her...as she moved her gaze back on the stage she saw neil standing in front of her while the khanna family and metha family looked at each other with small frown and smile

Avni slowly pinched herself without anyone noticing to realise she wasnt dreaming

Avni: neil was all she whispered

Neela: haan Neil..we got to know u both like each other as Neil told us and he wanted to suprise u that the person u r getting engaged and married to is none other than him she said

Shweta: chalo chalo now that avni knows lets proceed with the engagment she said

All agreed while the ring was bought

Avni looked at neil to see him looking at her with that big smile

Neela: bacha here she said but avni was hardly listening

Avni recalled Neil's words when she told him about her engagement and then riya and juhi speaking about neil arriving...she was still not able to think straight...everything was going blank...darkness started to surround her

Neil noticed a change in avni and not only neil: but even the metha family with the way her eyes shut and how she was about to drop...

Dayawanti: avniiii she shouted

Neil was on his knees as avni was unconscious in his arms

Ali : is this a new trick to stop the engagement he said looking at the gang who looked at him and then at avni who was unconscious in Neil's arm

Precrap: avni: I dont want to get engaged to neil I just dont want to mumma she said

Neela: avni what has happened that u angry on neil...y dont u want to get engaged to him ? Neil and the Khanna family is waiting for u downstairs and here u r saying u dont want to get engaged

Neil walked into the bedroom with his family

Neil: because I lied he said

Khanna family and metha family looked shocked  while avni looked angrily at him
