The next day

Avneil and aliya were made to sit together

Shweta had moved to avneil while bebe handed her the lal chunri

Shweta: Neil beta touch this chunri please. Neil nodded and placed his hand on top of the chunri

Juhi:aunty y does Neil have to touch it ?

Ragini:beta its touched by the groom as it's a ritual as it means that the girl only belongs to him..

Neil looked avni and elbowed her arm while she smiled without looking at him

Juhi:ohhh 

Shweta placed the chunri over avni head and kissed her forehead

She then did tilak on avni and then gave her an envelope to avni which contained money...after that one of the workers came up with a big plate of shagun which contained saree, dupatta ,married women sybomls which where  sindoor,bangle,jwellery,kajal,make up kits,fruits,dry fruits,termeric,small amout of rice,gold ornament 

After that neela came and did tilak on Neil...she then gave a tray of dry fruits, clothes,
perfume,soap, God idol and many other useful things for him

Avneil got up and took their families blessing

Hetal then moved to Ali and did his tilak while handing him his shagun which contained a lot of useful things for him but what touched him more was the photo frame of metha family along with evelope, clothes,frutis, gold chain...and many other things

(Remember Khanna family is Ali family and shweta and ragini r both mothers for him )

Shweta did riya tilak and then ragini handed the envelope with money and idol.. with make up items, clothes , all jewelry, gold chain, bracelet ,God idol and many more which was similar to avni

Aliya then got up to take blessings and soon Pandit ji arrived

At the end bebe and daywanti gave them four
And family ancestral jewellery while Neil and Ali got a gold ring avni and riya got gold bangles

Bebe:Pandit ji what is the beat date for engagement and wedding for these four

Pandit: the auspicious date for the engagement is after two days and for the wedding two weeks later otherwise after 6 month

Ali:6 month he muttered and prayed that the family chose the two week one

While Neil also hoped that it was the earliest date

Bebe:6 month is far how about we go for two weeks one

Neela:u r right.. so it's done after two weeks the wedding

Avneil and aliya took Pandit ji blessing as he left

Shweta:for this engagement and wedding day getting fixed  we have actually decided that all of u will be coming for dinner tonight.

Dayawanti:shweta beta that was not needed

Bebe:of course it is.. plus now its your turn to come to our house for dinner so dont be all formal 

Dayawanti:I already gave up with the argument..

Avni:Umm what time so that I can leave from the orphanage on time

Bebe:beta be at the Khanna mansion at 6pm u can even come earlier if u want

Acni:ji bebe

Shweta:and haan juhi u  come too.

Juhi:ji aunty she said smiling

Vidyut:*ahem ahem* he cleared his throat while juhi looked at him..she found his behaviour odd ever since she spilled the beans of telling him that she had searched him up

She smiled at him and then looked sideways rolling her eyes while vidyut didnt miss that and looked down smiling

Avni:um is it ok if we leave now she said looking at everyone and then at her family

Ragini:of course beta work is important too u can go

Neil:um if u want I can drop u of

Shweta:arien wah already taking care of your would be wife she said teasingly while Neil rubbed the back of his neck

Neil:no I was actually going to leave too so thought of dropping her of

Juhi:that's sweet of u Neil but dw me and avni will go together u can probably take her next time when I'm not here  she Said with a naughty smile

Avni glared at her

Avni:ok um let's end this discussion here and leave.bye she said to all and grabbed juhi hand and gave a quick smile to Neil and left.

As avni ans juhi left the mansion avni made sure to pinch juhi before getting into the car.

Few hours later Neil was busy with a case file when he received a call from a private number

Neil:hello?..

few secs later a smile came onto his face hearing the other person

Neil:ok..yes yes I'm coming yaar he said and ended the call

An hour later at the orphanage after sorting out  some of the kids  bio data avni went and sat near the window looking up at the blue sky

Her smile widened when she recalled today shagun ritual  and looked down thinking soon she and Neil will be engaged a and then married 

She decided to call Neil but he didnt answer.. she  called again and was about to Cut it when Neil answered before she can speak Neil spoke

Neil:hey... I'll speak to u later ok bye he said cutting the call without waiting for her reply

Avni frowned

Avni:seems like he is very busy she said shrugging it away and decided to go and check on the kids

Where as Neil had gone to the airport to receive someone

He walked in and looked around  until he saw that person and his smile widened

As the person walked to him he hugged her while she hugged him back

Neil:God... even though it hasn't been long but I'm Glad to meet u shanaya

Shanaya:well u should be glad to meet me after all im your friend she said winking st him making him smile

Neil:chalien ?

Shanaya:well yh but before we go home I want u to take me to that place what is it called yes pani puri stall

Neil:ok meri maa chalo he said taking her luggage as both headed towards the jeep

The stall wasnt that far so they had reached in 20 mins as tyey reached there ...they were walking towards it when  Neil received avni call

Shanaya:yaar what is this Neil come on yaar at least no phone call right now

Neil:shan I have to answer this.

Shanaya:well whoever it is hurry up because I am starving she said while Neil chuckled ... shanaya had walked to the stall

before he could answer avni had ended the call... as he was about to call avni  she had called again

Shanaya:Neil hurry up otherwise I'm coming to take your phone  she said

Neil nodded as he was about to answer he saw shanaya walking towards him and quickly answered it telling avni he will call later without even waiting for her response

Shanaya:, whose call was it that u couldnt stay without answering she said standing in front of him

Neil:it was avni.

Shanaya:avniii she said teasingly as Neil had told her few days back on how he felt about avni.

Neil:u was hungry na let's go he said walking to the stall ignoring her teasing look while she followed behind

Shanaya:by the way I have few other places tooo she said

Time went quick

Avni had reached home around 5pm she decided to freshen up to get ready for dinner at Khanna mansion

She looked at herself in the mirror and smiled as she had got ready for Neil and closed her eyes thinking she has gone mad

The metha family soon reached to the Khanna mansion and all went in

While avni looked for Neil there was no Sign of him.. she smiled and took blessing of prakash, shweta, ragini and bebe along with riya 

Vidyut moved slowly near juhi

Vidyut:, by the way it's good to see u juhi he said speaking in a tone that only she can hear

Juhi:and y is that so?

Vidyut:I can probably test u on how much u searched me up

Juhi facepalmed herself

Juhi:dont u have anything else to talk about except repeating the same thing she said

Vidyut:well I hand many things to talk about but only when u r ready

Juhi frowned but shrugged it away 

As they all sat down avni realised she left her phone in the car and excused herself taking keys from ashish 

Avni had taken her phone and was about to close the car door when she saw a jeep enter

She wondered who it can be when she realised it was Neil's jeep and saw him step out when she saw someone else stepping out from the car 

Neil:avni he said smiling slowly seen her and walked towards her

While avni smiled at him and then looked at shanaya  

Neil saw her looking at shanaya with that confusion in her eyes...

Neil:avni meet my friend shanaya we studied at the same college

Avni:hey shanaya she said smiling at her

Shanaya:hey avni... I hope Neil told u about me

Avni:no as far as I remember he told me nothing  she smiled warmly

Shanaya:how mean Neil u didnt even tell your would be wife about me she said teasingly punching his chest slightly

Neil:no I did remember avni on our date we asked each other if we was in a relation...shanaya was the girl I dated but it didnt work out and we preferred staying as friends he said pulling shanaya Cheeks

Avni:ohhh she said eyeing  Neil pulling shanaya cheeks..not knowing why she felt odd

Shanaya:come on Neil where r the rest it's been long since I met shweta aunty and all and also u need to introduce me to avni family too

Neil:yes come he said...shanaya held his hand and dragged him in and avni looked on Seen then holding hands

Avni:he didn't even tell me that the girl he dated was his friend and look at him how he was pulling her cheeks..but y shall I care they r only friend na.. she said with a hint of jealousy 

Meanwhile inside Neil had introduced shanaya to the metha family while Khanna family were happy to see her

Shanaya had instantly bonded with metha family making them like her straight away  with her crazy answers

As avni walked in her nose flared up with her arms crossed as she noticed how Neil and shanaya where laughing about something while talking to neela and shweta but what irked her more was seen Neil's hand around shanaya shoulder.

Juhi elbowed avni and raised her eyebrows

Juhi:, what happend? She asked moving to avni

Avni:nothing nothing at all she said smiling at juhi and then looked at shanaya and Neil and looked away as if it wasnt effecting her.

Shweta:by the way shanaya u came at the right time as your friends are getting married

Shanaya:honestly I'm still in a shock I cant beleive these two dumbo r getting married she said

Ali:very funny soon when your time comes we will say the same thing

Shanaya:is that so?.. go ahead then I give u the permission.

Neil:Ali remember that 

Bebe:wasien I hope u will be staying here

Neil:of course she will.. avni clenched her teeth when Neil said that

Prakash:I guess we cant continue talking at the dining table

Shweta:yes food is ready she said.

As all headed to the dining take avni walked behind Neil and shanaya as they were talking ..avni saw shanaya hand around Neil arm and looked away

Avni:Neil hasn't even spoken to me properly.. he is just so busy with shanaya she thought.

At the dining table avni had sat next to Neil left side was shanaya

Neil turned to look at avni...making her smile as she was about to tell him something ...shanya started to show something on her phone while avni looked down at her plate

Avni:y is it effecting me so much .. I mean they r friends... they only dated for sometime and became friend again  since it didnt work out then y is it bothering me so much that Neil is giving all his attention to Shanaya she thought to herself

What got to avni more was when shanaya placed some salad in Neil plate while he was refusing

Avni:feels like Neil is going to get engaged to shanaya instead of me. She thought while placing a piece of roti in her mouth she said in her head while chewing the roti slowly

Precrap:neil pulled avni against the wall

Neil: what's wrong?

Avni:nothing ...what will happen to me and besides y r u here go na

Neil: what do u mean by y am I here.. I came to spend some time with u

Avni:y? got free from shanaya she said getting a little jealous 

Phew here u go I know there is not much avneil scenes but hope u like
