It was another normal day in New York. Another day fighting a random criminal who had nothing better to do with his life. The Avengers responded to the situation, and they appeared to be winning.

"If we finish this soon, we'll be home in time for lunch. Or maybe dinner." The younger of the three heroes, Spiderman, stated through the coms.

"Okay! I get we're famous," the genius himself, Tony Stark, spoke mid fight, "but there are so many better ways to meet us! Specifically where your face is not meeting my fist." He joked, then actually punched the guy he was holding in the face.

"Something gives me the idea that they're not fans," Cap said, while pinned under some thugs who were attempting to punch him.

As the three avengers were busy fighting, they were suddenly surrounded by doom bots.

"Uh, Tony... This isn't you, is it?" Spiderman asked, just as the robots started attacking.

"Never mind! Not you, not you!" He exclaimed and started fighting the robots back.

Ironman looked up to see more doom bots arriving. "Okay, who ordered entertainment?"

"I thought you called them over. But now I see that's definitely wrong because they are attacking us!" Peter exclaimed, looking at Tony while fighting off the robots.

"What's attracted Doom here?" Cap wondered as he disarmed a thug. "These guys are definitely. Not. Geniuses."

"Maybe he's here to bow down to me," Ironman said, fighting a doom bot and a thug. "I could use an audience."

Peter stopped fighting the robot and both him and the robot looked at Tony.

"I'm not even going to try and say something to that," he said, before the robot and him went back to fighting.

"Your highest honor..." Doom's voice came as he revealed himself, "will be a footnote in my autobiography."

Ironman recognized Doom's line as something he himself had said about his own father. "Yeah, well, I think I'll publish mine first," and he went at Doom.

Dr. Doom braced to have Ironman coming his way. "You are just a fool in a machine, Stark! Without your technology, you have nothing!" He instigated him as he landed a blow at Ironman.

Ironman used his tech to fight back against Doom. "Yeah? Can say the exact same thing about you, scarface." Ironman aimed a punch at Doom's face, hoping to knock the mask off.

Peter tried to fight off the robots to help Tony with Doom.

"I'm on my way Tony, just have to get these metal heads off me," he said, webbing up the robots.

"Armor breached. System failure," FRIDAY informed Tony.

Ironman skid past his target. "The hell?" he asked, confused at his own actions.

"No instinct for battle. No fire to lead!" Doom walked coolly to Ironman. "You hide behind armor so you don't have to make the sacrifice play," he laid his hands on Ironman. "Let me give you a hand."

"Power at 10%. Redirecting to vitals."

Doom walked over, monologuing. Tony itched to get a line in, but he was more focused on keeping alive. Dr. Doom grabbed him, and teleported Tony away. A ship revealed itself, previously holding in the air in camo mode, and flew away.

"Tony!" Steve shouted as his friend got taken.

"Ironman!" Peter yelled simultaneously as his mentor got abducted.

A shadow in the park walked away unnoticed as the remaining heroes stood confused.

"Ze fight was interrupted, mein Kaiser," he spoke into a communication device. "Ironman was taken away by Doom, but ze Captain and ze Spider-Man are still here."

"Captain America? It is just him?"

"Ja, but ze other Avengers will be here soon I think."

"Forget it, then..."

And the line went dead.
