Steve x Pregnant Reader

Normally, you would be happen upon Steve's arrival home from missions. However today you were dreading it. You had news, big news, and you were not sure how  he would react to this news.

Fury had already given you time off from SHIELD temporarily so that you could sort things out with Steve. You knew Steve would enter your apartment asking about your whereabouts and absence from SHIELD.

You were not sure why you were so worried. After all he could be thrilled, but then again he could be furious. 

Your thoughts were interrupted by a sudden and dreadful noise as the the doorknob turned open. You could hear the heavy thumps of your heart as the door creaked. 

"Y/N, Honey?" Steve asks as he walks in, noticing you by the kitchen.

He ambles over to you and engulfs you in a warm hug. As he releases you, he asks the question you knew he would ask.

"Why weren't you at SHIELD today?" He questions.

"I- Fury- he let me come home early." You stutter, seeing confusion arise on Steve's face.

"Are you alright?" Steve begins, "You're not usually this nervous about talking to me."

"The truth is-." You start as you feel sickness in you. Luckily, you didn't throw up, but Steve was quick to notice.

He ushered you to the couch as soon as quick as he could. 

"I'm really sorry Steve." 

"Sorry about what?" Steve raises his eyebrows.

You did not know what to say, so you just handed him the test anyways.

"Is this real? You're actually having a child?" 

You nod, biting your lip nervously.

Steve says nothing, but just hugs you. 

"I can't believe it! My beautiful Y/N is going to have my child!" Steve exclaims, overjoyed.

"So you aren't mad?"

Steve smiles. "Of course I'm not mad! This is the best news I have received all week."

You end up having one boy, and naming him James.

I am so sorry this was posted late, I've been fairly busy all week. I'm also apoligizing to the others who requested imagines, and I will (attempt) to upload some of them later this week. 

On a completely random side note, does anyone know what Dishonored (the game) is? I've started writing about it, but I'm just curious if anyone is interested in it.
