It never gets easier.
To be a loved one to someone who is loved by the world.

It never gets easier.
To be almost constantly in the public eye.

It never gets easier.
Spending time apart.

It never gets easier.
Waking up alone in the house.

It never gets easier, saying goodbye. And waiting for him to come home.

You will never be able to say goodbye to him when he leaves at 4 o'clock in the morning for a mission, without crying after he's gone.

You'll never stop counting the days, the hours, the minutes that he's been gone.

You'll never stop worrying every minute of every day that he's on a mission.

You'll never stop wearing his clothes, and holding his belongings when he's away.

Because you love him. Because you care about him. Because while the world loves him for being Captain America, and saving the planet. You love him for being Steve Rogers, and for saving you.

And it never gets easier. Not after a year, not after two years. Not even after you're married, and have been married for ten years. It doesn't get easier.

And that's how you know the love between you is still alive. Because the day it gets easier to let him go, is the day you lose him.

But that day never comes, it never gets easier.

AN: Couple things you guys.
1. I am going back in the book at reformatting just a teeny bit. Don't worry nothing too major. But don't be surprised when all of the sudden stuff looks different or you're spammed with notifications. (Actually I don't know if you get notifications if I change old chapters)

2. Way back when Age Of Ultron came out (remember that hot mess), you all wanted me to include Wanda. I said no at first because I didn't know much about her, and I was still trying to figure out how to write Natasha adequately (I'm not Bi or a lesbian so how would I know?!) But I'm getting a lot of positive feedback on my Lesbian!Natasha stuff, so I must be doing something right! So if you would like me to start including Wanda let me know.
