Part 2 of last chappp

Warning: I did literally no research and this chapter will be very inaccurate due to my terrible memory. Also was dead inside while writing this.

Peter stuffed his shaky hands into the pockets of Uncle Ben's old suit. Just outside of the sleek black car Happy was driving, was a wall of reporters, microphones in hand, pushing to get to the car first and crowding around Sam and Bucky, who had arrived first.

"You alright?" Happy looked at Peter in the mirror.

Peter nodded nervously, and May, seated beside him, wrapped a comforting arm around his shoulders.

"You're gonna be fine Peter. We have the plan, and Happy, me, Sam and Bucky are going to make sure none of the reporters hassle you. Okay?"

"Okay." Peter's voice came out meek and quiet, not at all as strong and confident as he had hoped. May smiled and held his hand, squeezing it tightly.

The car came to a stop, and suddenly the flashes of light were almost unbearable. Peter flinched and closed his eyes, turning his head away from the window. He could hear Happy yelling at them all the back off, and May pulled out the sunglasses Tony had made so long ago and slid them on his face. She squeezed his hand again.

"Are you ready?" She whispered.

Peter let out a long shaky breath. He nodded.

Even with Sam and Bucky on either side of him, May in front and Happy at the back, it didn't block out the yells of questions or hate coming from every direction, nor the white flashes of light of people taking pictures or those few questions that made him shake- such as 'are you also a terrorist like your nephew?' or 'did you ever suspect Spider-Man would become a terrorist?'.

Finally they managed to get into the courthouse, where Peter had to sit for several seconds to regain his breath. When he opened his eyes, he was surprised to see the rest of the Avengers sitting in the viewing area for guests, sending him comforting smiles and thumbs up.

May squeezed his shoulder. "I can't be with you up there, but I'll be right over here if you need me. Just stay calm."

Peter nodded, his fingers clenching and unclenching at his sides. May have him a smile, and, with that, Peter was alone, making his way up to the table he was to sit with with his lawyer, whom Pepper had found for him, one of the best lawyers money could buy.

They were only sitting there for a few minutes before the judge walked in, causing everyone to immediately stand up until he allowed them to sit again.

"Mr Peter Benjamin Parker, you are being trialed for terrorism resulting in destruction of property, death and injury. Do you plead guilty or not guilty?"

"Not guilty." Peter said quietly, but luckily the judge managed to hear what he said, though the rest of the courthouse were leaning in, straining to hear what he had said.

"He pleads not guilty. Commence with the trial." The judge said, smacking their hammer against the table.

"Your honour, we have video footage of Mr Parker ordering Tony Stark's drones to attack." Said the other side people. (Prosecutors? I haven't done this since last year). They pulled out the wheely tv, like the ones they have in schools, and showed the exact footage that had been shown on the news only a few days earlier.

Peter's lawyer, however, then stood and brought out a witness- Mj, carrying the projector she had found outside the area of the first attack.

"What is this you have brought?" The lawyer asked, holding it up for everyone to see.

"A projector device, the same kind used for Tony Stark's BARF project, which Quentin Beck worked on. I found it near the carnival during the attack of the fire elemental."

"Does it still work?"

Mj fiddled with it for a second, then the image of the fire elemental was suddenly projected into the air.

Quite obviously, the projector proved part of the video wrong, and even the opposition's jab of pointing out that Mj was Peter's girlfriend did nothing- for they weren't technically official anyway.

"Mr Parker, you say you were very close to Mr Stark when he was alive?" Said the opposition people, once he was up in the questioning thing.

"Y-Yes."

"And it's possible that you could have had access to this kind of technology?"

Peter frowned. "I-I guess so, but we never really looked at that kind of stuff. We were mainly just working on suits and stuff like that, and to get access to it afterwards would mean asking Ms Potts."

"No further questions your honour."

Pepper Potts was next up for questioning.

"Did Peter Parker ever access BARF on any occasion that you know of?"

"No."

"Has he ever access blueprints or designs for BARF?"

"No."

"Did Mr Quentin Beck ever access blueprints or designs for BARF?"

"Yes, on several occasions when he was still working for Stark Industries."

"And what did he want to do with these blueprints?"

"He wanted to use it for acts of terrorism. Tony fired him, I have some of the documentation of the firing here as well."

The lawyer smiled and took the documentation from her, opening it up and reading Tony Stark's very own handwriting of the event, for they kept records of those fired from Stark Industries just in case they turned into terrorists.

Peter's lawyer then showed some video footage from multiple different people that had been posted on social media of when the hologram began to fall apart, causing Mysterio himself to actually disappear as Spider-Man came into view, webbing together drones and dodging those actually trying to shoot at him.

After that they had a body language reading person come and dissect footage of Spider-Man being asked if he was going to be the next Ironman, just before the beginning of the whole commotion.

"You can see here his eyes widening at the question. He is clearly overwhelmed as he leans away from the people, his hands are moving fast and are in front of him in a defensive position. If you listen closely you can hear his breathing getting faster. I would definitely say that he is uncomfortable with the situation and would rather not become the next Ironman." Said the man, his voice nasally and his face bored.

"Nick Fury" and "Maria Hill" gave their point of views on the situation, as well as the people working with them, saying that Peter was very reluctant to do the mission and that he had wanted to just spend time with his friends on the holiday, and they had had to manipulate it so that he was in the right place at the right time.

Finally, it was Peter's turn to say his point of view.

"Mj and I snuck out on a walk. She guessed I was Spider-Man and pulled out that projector from her bag. She had found it just outside where the elemental had attacked, and it suddenly turned on without warning. It was then that I realised I had made a huge mistake- I had given the Edith glasses to Quentin Beck. I thought Tony wanted me to give them to someone I thought worthy of being the next Ironman. I didn't think that was myself at the time, and he had seemed like a really nice guy... I then tried to contact Nick Fury and warn him but Mysterio used his holograms to trick me and I accidentally revealed to him that Mj knew, and then I got hit by a train and managed to squeeze into the train, where I passed out. I woke up in a jail, but I escaped and had Happy pick me up. In there I made a new Spider-Man suit, and found where my friends were via Instagram." Peter explained what happened from there, his eyes on the ground and his fingers cracked his knuckles on each hand in a nervous tick he had.

Eventually, finally, the judge had made their decision.

"Not guilty." They slammed their hammer onto the table. There was an instant uproar- but the good kind.

Peter promptly burst into tears. May ran over and hugged him, also crying, and Happy wrapped his arms around both of them. Pepper was just clapping, as was Rhodey and the other avengers, and the reporters were talking into the camera with bright grins on their face.

People were cheering and hugging, and even the judge was smiling.

The picture of Peter and May hugging and crying made the front page of every newspaper.

A/N This chapter kind of sucked I'm sorry. I got really stuck halfway through and then said stuff it I need to get a chapter out and I promised part 2. Also I'm sick I have a cold so I really couldn't be bothered with anything today, and earlier in the week I had to finish reading a book for English and had a heap of other stuff to do, and this weekend I was at my Mema and Pepa's house for a sleepover for 2 nights with my cousin so I didn't have time to do anything, so that's why it took so long to get this chapter out. Sorry again. Have a good day!! Happy reading!!

:P
