A Wild Cousin in Her Natural Habitat

"Nothing Vision." Wanda said hastily, dropping her hand from mine. "I'm just helping out Percy with some... Research."

Vision, a man who was at least a head taller than me, definitely not human and floating an inch or two off of the floor cocked his head and looked at me suspiciously. I raised my hands defensively.

"Like she said." I echoed Wanda's words. "She's just helping me out with research."

"You weren't at the compound." Vision said, turning back to Wanda. "I got worried."

"So what, you're tracking me now?" Wanda toyed humorously, she leaned over the table and blew out the remaining candle. "I thought you trusted me."

"I do, you know that, but..." He trailed off, frowning.

"It's okay." I repeated. "I wouldn't, not with-" I ended there because suddenly a wild blur of silver burst down the door. She whipped something from her back, sending it flying at Vision and then another one pinning Wanda to the wall. I pulled out my gun, with the agility of Legolas, she whirled around. Pushing her stick, which I later realised was a bow into my neck, driving me into the sharp end of the bench, I winced. The cold shaft of an arrow grazed my neck.

"Thalia." I breathed. "Long time, no see, little cous." I managed. She blinked in surprise, her jet hair now covered her eyes like a sheet, a little bit like Nico. Why do we all have black hair?

"Percy." She gritted her teeth. I realised she was wearing a tight black shirt with a short-cut fur jacket and shredded, punkish, jeans. Her eyebrow was studded and she was going full-out goth with the black lipstick. I also realised she still thought I was dead. "Was about to kill you, I'm supposed to be house sitting but got sidetracked, how 'bout you?"

"Uh..." I dragged out. "Just avenging stuff, if ya know what I mean." Wanda snorted, pulling out the arrow that pinned her to the wall.

"Would you like to introduce us to your friend Percy?" She said haughty, Vision drifted to her side protectively, still eyeing off Thalia as a threat.

"Uh guys, this is Thalia, Thalia this is Wanda and Vision." I made motions to each other at the appropriate times.

"Percy you didn't tell me you were doing that kind of Avenging." Thalia laughed a little, sheathing her bow and arrow, collecting the other ones around the room. "What are you doing in New York?"

"Who said I wasn't already in New York?" I shrugged.

"Because," Thalia dragged out, her eyes narrowing to slits. "I searched with the power of the gods and you weren't there."

"Well, I've been here the whole time, but that doesn't really matter..." I trailed off, Thalia whipped back around, her eyes slitted again.

"Yes, it does matter. Percy! What the actual gods! We've been all worried sick, wondering, searching, you should just see Leo and Harley working together to find you. There's a line of all sorts of creatures from Camp to Jupiter with numbers in their hands to punch you so hard when you get back." I frowned. Maybe I shouldn't go back, I might die. She blew a hair out of her face aggressively. "Look, I'm sorry with what happened with Annabeth, but it's been three years since-"

"She's back." I interrupted, Thalia went pale.

"What?"

"She's back." I repeated, "we don't know who or what or why but she's out, just drifting, trying to get to Camp."

Thalia was frozen in horror, incapable of speaking or moving at all. Her mouth gaped open and close like a fish's.

"We just tried connecting to her. We were cut off... But, she just told us to remember my enemies, and to remember my allies' enemies." I spoke softly.

"Which enemies?" Thalia snorted, shaken out of her shock. I rolled my eyes.

"Statistically, it is not good to commune with the dead-" Vision started, floating forwards a little, Thalia and I looked to each other, strongly refraining ourselves.

Once the moment passed, I started again. "Well I have a mission up your way Friday, maybe I can..." I took a deep breath in and then let it out. Maybe I can stop at Camp then."

Thalia nodded, shuffling awkwardly. "Sure, the Hunters are up there now, well, not at camp, but, you know." I nodded my understanding.

From behind us, Wanda's phone gave off a signal. "Mission tomorrow, Lagos, meet at Campus at six, finally found Rumlow, bring Percy. Winky face." She read aloud, looking to us. I shrugged and looked back to Thalia.

"See ya Friday." She nodded, embracing me in a hug before darting out the door, a few seconds later she jogged back.

"Does this mean I don't have to watch your house anymore?" She asked hopefully. I sighed and nodded. "Yes!" She first pumped and disappeared.

I turned back to Wanda and Vision, Wanda spoke first. "Let's go to the Campus, I'll get you a room."

Eh, kind of anticlimactic but any good Marvel fan knows where this is going. Really sorry, but Agent 33 is actually supposed to be Agent 13 in the MCU, I'll call her 13 from now on.
