"Yo! What the hell is that thing?"
Peter asked as he swung into the battle.

"I don't know kid!"
Tony shouted as he blasted aliens.

There was a big machine in the middle of the city and the aliens were guarding it.

"What does it do?"
Peter asked.

"We don't know so don't go near it."
Natasha said.

"Ok!"
Peter said as he webbed some aliens up.

They defeated the aliens and gathered round the weird machine.

"FRI any idea on what it does?"
Tony asked.

"I'm not sure Boss. I've never seen anything like it."
FRIDAY said.

"What would happen if we touched it?"
Clint asked.

"Clint don't you dare."
Natasha said.

"...too late."
Clint said.

Nothing happened for a couple of seconds before a portal opened up and they fell through it, landing in an empty car park where another portal had already been opened.

"What the heck?"
Steve asked.

A man was being sucked into the portal but had a hose like thing tied around him and four people were holding the hose and trying to pull him back.

"I don't know who you guys are but please help!"
The woman who was holding the hose shouted.

Steve went forwards and stood behind the guy at the back and pulled them back.

The man who was being sucked into the portal flew forwards behind a white line on the ground.

"Where are we?"
Steve asked.

"You're at Stark productions!"
Howard said.

"Stark?"
Tony asked.

"Yes. Why?"
Howard asked.

"Nothing."
Tony said.

"Wait. Captain America?"
Howard asked, finally taking in Steve's costume. Even though it had changed, it was still similar to the original.

"The one and only."
Steve said.

"I thought you died. We were told you died after you went into the ice."
Peggy said.

"I don't know how I survived."
Steve said.

"When did you get out?"
Howard asked.

"In the year 2012."
Steve said.

"So you guys are from the future!"
Jason asked excitedly.

"Yeah."
Peter said.

"Well we're done here so let's go inside and I'm sure Jarvis can get us all some wine."
Howard said.

The team followed the five inside the building.

"So, who are you people if you're from the future?"
Howard asked, sipping his wine.

"We're the Avengers."
Peter said.

"And what do you do?"
Peggy asked.

"We fight villains and save the world!"
Peter said excitedly.

"Yeah."
Clint said.

"What are your names?"
Jarvis asked.

"Our made up names or real names?"
Peter asked.

"Real names or your made up names if you prefer that."
Peggy said.

"I'm Peter and I'm also known as Spider-Man."
Peter said.

"I'm Natasha."
Natasha said.

"I'm Clint, I'm also known as Hawkeye."
Clint said.

"I am Iron Man."
Tony said.

"I'm Scott and I'm also known as Ant-Man or the worlds best grandma."
Scott said.

"I'm Wanda."

"I'm Bruce but people mostly know me as the Hulk."
Bruce said.

"I'm Bucky. I'm the White Wolf."
Bucky said.

"The names Sam."
Sam said.

"Nice to meet you all, I'm Jason."
Jason said.

"And I'm Howard."

"I'm Peggy for those of you who don't know me."

"I'm Edwin but everyone calls me Jarvis."

"I'm Daniel Sousa."

"How did you get here?"
Jason asked.

"Don't know. We were fighting aliens and there was a big machine in the middle of the city and then Clint touched it and we transported here."
Tony said.

"What did the machine look like?"
Howard asked.

"It was big. Didn't really get a good look at it, too busy fighting aliens."
Tony said.

"I touched it and then we got transported here."
Clint said.

"Well it's getting late and we've got spare rooms here so I'm sure Howard won't mind you all staying here."
Peggy said.

"Yeah. Jarvis why don't you show everyone the rooms."
Howard said.

"And I'll help."
Peggy said.

"So. What's the future like?"
Peggy asked Steve and Bucky.

"Annoying."
Bucky said.

"He's just saying that because he doesn't understand the internet."
Steve said.

"And neither do you."
Bucky said.

"Are you two still together?"
Peggy asked.

"Yeah. Surprisingly the team haven't found out, even though we aren't keeping it a secret."
Steve said.

"I think Peter and Natasha are the only ones who figured it out."
Bucky said.

"Well, here's the last room."
Peggy said, opening the door.

"Thanks Peg."
Steve said.

"Thanks."
Bucky said.

"No problem, there's spare clothes in the wardrobe and if you need anything, my room is opposite."
Peggy said, motioning to her room.

"Ok. Night Peg."
Steve said.

"Night."
Peggy said and went into her room.

"And Mr Iron Man, this is your room."
Jarvis said, opening the door.

"Thank you Jarvis."
Tony looked into the room.

"There are spare clothes in the wardrobe should you need them."
Jarvis said and Tony nodded.

"Can I take down the painting of Howard?"
Tony asked.

"I'm sure you can sir."
Jarvis said.

"Ok. Thanks."
Tony went into his room.

Peter woke up sweating. He had another nightmare about Homecoming.

He left his room and knocked on the door opposite his, which he thought was Tony's room.

Steve opened the door.

"S-sorry Mr Ro-Rogers. I thought this was Mr Sta-Starks room."
Peter said.

"Kid it's fine, me and Buck weren't sleeping yet. What happened?"
Steve asked.

"Nightmare."
Peter said.

"Do you want to come in?"
Steve asked.

"If you don't mind."
Peter said.

Steve opened the door further and let Peter in.

"You alright Peter?"
Bucky asked, sitting up in the bed.

"Nightmare."
Peter said.

"What was the nightmare about?"
Bucky asked.

"Homecoming."

"What happened at Homecoming?"
Steve asked.

"My dates dad turned out to be the Vulture, the guy I was fighting. He's in prison now. He threatened me when we were in the car alone. I left early because I didn't want anything bad to happen. I followed him to an abandoned warehouse. He was all alone. I webbed his hand to the table. He called his wings and I thought they missed me but they took out the support beams. The roof collapsed on me and I was alone. I was in my old suit which was literally a jumper and joggers. I lifted the roof off and I found the Vulture and fought him. He nearly crashed a plane and it was Mr Starks plane. I fought him and webbed him up when I beat him."
Peter ranted.

"Have you had any other nightmares about Homecoming?"
Bucky asked.

"Yeah. Nearly every night."
Peter said.

"What do you do to deal with the nightmares?"
Steve asked.

"If I'm staying with Aunt May, I don't do anything, just stay up the rest of the night and if I'm staying at the Compound or the Tower, I go to Mr Starks room and he helps me with the nightmare. Usually I end up sleeping after that."
Peter said.

"We can help you with your nightmare. We both have nightmares about different things."
Steve said.

"If you don't mind."
Peter said.

"Come on, let's lie down."
Steve said.

"Ok."
Peter went over to the bed and climbed in next to Bucky and Steve followed him.

"What does Tony usually do?"
Steve asked.

"He tells me about his life and science stuff."
Peter said.

"We don't know much about science but we do have a life so we can tell you about that."
Steve said.

"How did you two meet?"
Peter asked.

"We met in school. Stevie was getting beaten up and I saved him. That was in first grade."
Bucky said.

"Why were they beating him up?"

"I think I pissed one of them off and they started hitting me."
Steve said.

"Then in the third grade, Stevie punched back for once."

"Why?"

"They stole his juice box. The first one he ever had."
Bucky said.

"Yeah. They shouldn't have taken it."
Steve said.

"How many fights did you get into Steve?"

"Loads. And I wan most of them."
Steve said and Bucky snorted.

"You did not win any of them. I had to get you out of most of them when I found you."
Bucky said.

Steve pouted.

"What was your life like before the war?"
Peter asked.

"It was alright. Medicine was still really expensive so I had to work a lot to get the medicines that Stevie needed because he couldn't get any jobs because of his health. We got a bit more money before the war so that was good. And the rationing wasn't as bad as it was when we were younger so food wasn't as expensive."
Bucky said.

"I stayed at home and just tidied up if the apartment was messy. I went on a few walks when Bucky was out at work but I couldn't go out during Autumn or Winter in case I got a cold because my immune system was terrible. That's when I got into most of my fights. One of the guys I was fighting, knocked me out and Bucky found me in the alley in the dark after he found the apartment empty when he got home from work."
Steve said.

Bucky looked down and saw that Peter was now asleep.

"He's sleeping now."
Bucky said softly.

"Is he?"

"Yeah."

"We should get some sleep now Buck."

"Yeah. Night Stevie."
Bucky said.

"Night Buck."
The two kissed before going further underneath the quilt.

"So do you think that we can recreate the machine?"
Howard asked.

"Probably."
Tony said.

"What do we need?"
Jason asked and Tony and Bruce said a bunch of science stuff.

"Guys, we recreated the machine and it works."
Tony said when the four scientists walked in.

"How do you know?"
Steve asked.

"We sent a book back and we managed to contact Pepper and she found the book where the machine is."
Bruce said.

"So we can go home?"
Peter asked.

"Yeah."
Tony said.

Everyone said their goodbyes and touched the machine and they found themselves in the same spot they were.

"We're back!"
Peter cheered.
