Peter gulped out.

Tony turned around and saw Peter with a dark red patch on his torso.

"Hey kid. You're alright. You're alright."
Tony said, grabbing Peter and setting him down carefully on the floor.

"Mr Stark?"

"Don't talk Pete. Just keep breathing and keep your eyes open."
Tony said, pressing down to stop the bleeding.

"Am I gonna die?"
Peter asked, tears streaming down his face. You could see the pain in his eyes.

"You're not gonna die Peter. Not on my watch."

"Stay with me Mr Stark. Please."

"I'm not going anywhere Peter. I'm staying right here."

"It hurts Mr Stark."

"I know it does Pete. Just keep your eyes open."
Tony said.

"Mr Stark? If I don't make it. Tell May and Ned and MJ that I love them. Please."

"You're gonna make it kid. I'm not gonna let you die. You're not gonna die tonight."
Tony said.

"FRIDAY? Where the hell is everyone?"
Tony asked.

"I am unable to contact anyone Boss."
FRIDAY said and Tony uttered a small curse.

"Mr Stark?"
Peter asked.

"Peter don't talk, just save your energy kid."

"I love you Tony. I'm sorry."
Peter whispered and his body went limp.

"Peter? Peter? PETER?!"
Tony finally let himself cry.

He wept over the limp body of Peter Parker.

"Tony? Spidey?"
The team were shouting out.

"Guys! Over here!"
Clint shouted and ran over to Tony.

"Tony?"
Clint asked when he saw the older man crying.

"He's dead. And I couldn't do anything to stop it."
Tony said.

Clint lifted the still crying man up and into a hug.

"What's happened?"
Steve asked.

"He's dead."
Tony said.

Steve looked over to Peter's body.

"Spidey's dead?"
He asked, clearly in shock.

"I should've done something!"

"Tony you weren't the person who shot him. You weren't responsible for his death. You did what you could to keep him alive."
Clint said.

Clint took Tony away against his will.

"No Tony. I'll get you back on the ship. The others will get Spideys body."
Clint said.

"And we have just received some heartbreaking news."
The newscaster said.

"Spider-Man is dead. He was shot in the Avengers recent battle and he did not survive. We here at the studio are mourning the loss of the local superhero and we hope his family is safe."

Ned and MJ met up at Peter's locker the next day after hearing the news. The entire school was upset, Spider-Man was their hero, someone who they related to and he was gone.

"I guess you heard the news then?"
Ned asked MJ.

"How could I not Ned. It was everywhere."
MJ said, not holding a book for once.

Even Flash was upset and he didn't even notice that Peter wasn't there.

"Class, we have received some horrible news."
Mr Harrington said when he got off the phone.

"Peter will not be returning to the school ever again."

"Yes! Some good news!"
Flash said.

"Trust me Eugene, you would not be happy if you had let me finish."

"Sorry sir."
Flash said.

"As I said, Peter will not be returning to the school ever again as he had died last night. As I am sure most of you are aware by now that Spider-Man was killed yesterday, well, Spider-Mans identity has been released with his aunts permission and it turns out that Peter Parker was Spider-Man."
Mr Harrington said and the class sat there in shock.

"What!"
Flash screeched.

"Principal Morita will be holding an assembly in five minutes for the whole school."
Mr Harrington said and he sat down at his desk, the shock catching up to him.

"As I am sure that everyone knows, Spider-Man was sadly killed last night during a battle. And that Peter Parker was killed last night. It turns out that our student Peter Parker was Spider-Man."
Mr Morita said.

Most of the school was crying or near to tears.

"Mr Stark will be talking about Mr Parker and showing us a clip of Peter's final moments."
Mr Morita sat down and Tony went up to the front.

No one really registered that it was Tony Stark who was talking to the school and just listened to him.

"I was with Peter when he died. And I could've done something to help him. But I couldn't. And I know he loved to help his friends and I wanted to show you all what he said to me before he passed."
A projection came up on the screen behind Tony.

"Mr Stark?"
A voice that was clearly Peter's gulped out.

Tony had turned around and saw Peter with a blood stain on his torso.
