*Spoilers*
Sorry it's been a while y'all, anyway this has major endgame spoilers, so if you haven't seen it don't read this
Also, this is more like a list of post-endgame concepts than a one shot, but if yo like any of them just comment on that one and I'll make a one shot out of it
(Just scroll down to find them, I don't wanna accidentally spoil it for someone who's been taking a while to see it or something)
-Peter comes home after Tony's funeral, everything feeling heavy. He just wants to sleep and never wake up. He trudges into his room, struggling with his tie and incidentally making it into a bigger knot. Mr. Stark would have been able to help him out of it. The thought makes him start crying again, and he tugs again at the tie which pulls against his neck painfully. Finally, he just yanks it over his head and stumbles to his bed, sobbing uncontrollably. He doesn't even notice the paper to-go bag next to him until he slams a fist on his mattress and feels the rough papery crunch under his hand.
Rubbing the tears from his eyes, Peter opens the bag gingerly and finds a new Spidersuit. More tears come, but they're not from sadness exactly. Peter carefully pulls the mask over his head and prepares himself for Karen's voice, but a different one comes.
"Hey kid. If you're hearing this, I must've died." Peters outright sobbing again, but he has Mr. Stark murmuring comforting words in his ear, and everything's just like it was before Thanos decided to tear his mentor from him.
-Peter feels personally responsible for Morgan and treats her like an one protective big brother. He drives her everywhere she could want when he finally gets his license, including ice cream every Friday after preschool. He lets her use his web shooters, and he stays over at the Potts' house more often than not. He helps Pepper with everything: cooking, cleaning, shopping. It's become a usual occurrence for Spiderman to swing into stores and buy GoGurts or popsicles.
When Pepper goes on a business trip, Peter stays at their house, doing his best to act like a good baby sitter. He and Morgan agree not to tell Ms. Potts about the three empty pints of ice cream strategically buried at the bottom of the trash can
-Bucky lost his best friend the day he came back to life. He'll always be there for Steve, but he'll never be able to love grandpa Steve the same way he loved his best friend. Every day the fact that Steve chose Peggy hurts worse than Hydra's tortures. But Steve's happy, and that's all that matters.
Bucky starts going on long walks by himself, pretending like young Steve is still with him, talking to him. Sometime's it's pre-serum Steve. Sometimes he's in the captain America stage outfit. Occasionally, elderly Steve will reach him even there, and he punches anything in sight so hard his knuckles bleed. Bucky knows he should move on, but he doesn't like where that path leads.
Bucky still makes senior citizen jokes every once in a while, but no matter how much Steve laughs, his own smiles are always fleeting. Everything that he loved about Steve seems to have been left behind in the 70s. Worst of all, Steve need seems to notice how shattered he is.
Bucky's on one of his walks one day, completely lost in daydreams, when a voice scatters them. "On your left." It's Steve's—his Steve—voice, and Bucky spins, ready to tackle his friend in a hug. Except it's not him, it's the fetus.
"Hi, mr. Bucky, sir." Peter shifts his weight, holding up a small speaker between them like a barrier. The teen immediately notices Bucky's lost eyes, and hurries to explain. "I made an AI with Mr. Rogers's voice. Can you just help me little? I haven't been around him long enough to know how he answers stuff, so it doesn't seem much like him."
The two work together for weeks, and somehow Bucky finds himself enjoying the company of the kid he used to despise. After all, Peter's not too different from pre-serum Steve.
Haha I didn't mean for them to all tie into being about Peter, whoops.
