You stood beside Bruce and Hank as you looked at the War Table. Kamala was there as well but she was mostly quiet.

Pym: Okay, now that we have some muscle on our side, I think we should hit one of AIM's testing labs. We know that they've been experimenting on Inhumans in small rural communities. I'd like to get my hands on whatever research they've been collecting.

Y/N: Sounds good. We crashed one of their big labs in the Pacific Northwest.

Pym: Olympia Archive? Impressive. We wondered who was responsible for taking that place down.

Kamala: Thanks! We didn't get out with a lot of information. But now maybe we can find out more.

Kamala looked across the table at you as you examined the map of the town AIM had set up shop at. The look on your face was something she never noticed before. It was of determination. Determination to fix something you had done in the past. Your words were on repeat in her head.

Kamala: I'm going to help you keep your promise. We'll move forward together.

Your feet hit the ground when the Quinjet dropped you, Kamala, and Bruce off. The tree of you quietly moved to the edge of a nearby cliff and looked down at the small town below.

AIM had taken full control and it seemed like they had evacuated everyone. Drones, bots, and Peace Keepers were all over.

Kamala: You think they heard we were coming?

Y/N: I doubt it. They know the Resistance is around. Maybe this is for them? Regardless, we need to get into that lab.

Kamala nodded. You both then turned to the Hulk who was staring at one particular bot with a noticeably more intense stare than normal.

Y/N: Uh, we can't sneak around with the big guy.

Kamala: No. No we can't. Looks like we might have to dash and destroy.

That was an option indeed. Maybe it would be easier that way to. You all leaped out of your hiding spots and charged forward.

You had a new determination. A new goal. You were just going to make sure Kamala had things under control before you returned to Jersey City. Now, now you were going to find all of the Avengers and take AIM down.

You shot out a line and pulled yourself toward one of the bots patrolling. You slammed a foot into it's chest and you watched as it was crushed under your foot.

The entire town had this strange neon hue to it thanks to AIM's machines placed all around. As you swung around, Kamala and Hulk got to smashing everything in sight and Tony flew in for assistance.

Y/N: Bout time you got here.

You swung up and slammed your foot into another bot.

Tony: I got to say, kid, you really seem more....what's the word I'm looking for? Awake?

Y/N: Damn right. I'm not gonna stand by as AIM takes over anymore!

Tony: Hell yeah, kid.

You contiued to fight before you noticed a hovering platform overhead. You shot out a line and pulled yourself up to it to get a better view of things.

Kamala: So you've been building the resistance in secret all these years?

Pym: Not intentionally. At least, not in the beginning. A lot of us were captured by AIM early on. After we realized no one was coming for us, we broke out and started making our own plans.

Y/N: Well, you have us now.

You shot out a line and swung toward the tallest building in the area. AIM had to be doing something there. Kamala watched you and noticed you were moving with a lot more confidence. She smiled at the thought.

You landed on the ground as everyone else caught up with you. You all entered the building and looked around.

Pym: You'll need to take out the security node.

You stepped out of the way for Kamala to hit it. She gladly did so, but something went wrong. The alarms went off and you all froze.

JARVIS: That was not supposed to happen.

Kamala: What do we do now?

Y/N: There has to be a generator nearby or something.

Pym: Two, actually. If you take those out, we'll be golden. The elevators should open up.

You nodded and swung up to one platform with Tony while Kamala headed to the other with Hulk. In that moment, AIM bots appeared and you sighed.

Y/N: They just don't know when to give up, do they?

Tony: Looks like it. You handle these guys and I'll get the generator.

You nodded and pulled out two knives. You dashed forward and stabbed in into the head of a bot before you flipped up and landed behind another. You grabbed its head and slammed it into the floor before you threw the last knife across the way to stab into another bot that was behind Kamala.

She turned and looked at you.

Kamala: That could've hit me!

Y/N: But it didn't!

Kamala stuck her tounge out at you which made you smirk a bit.

Kamala: I will make you so happy that you'll cry tears of joy.

Y/N: Not quite there yet.

Tony and Hulk finished smashing the generators and the elevator doors opened up. You all regrouped and headed in. As the doors closed, Pym got back on the coms.

Pym: Good work, Avengers.

Kamala: So, you were a prisoner too? Why did they capture you if you aren't Inhuman?

Pym: According to Tarleton, anyone with powers is a threat. They made sure I'd never use mine again.

Your eyes grew wide.

Y/N: Wait, did they....

Pym: Altered my physicalloty so that if I change size, I'll die.

You clenched your fists at the news. They did that to him? He was a hero. He was Ant Man! How could they take something like that away from him. Your mind suddenly switched to Nadia. Could they do the same to her?

Kamala: I'm so sorry.

You stayed silent and Kamala noticed. The doors opened up and you walked out without a word. Tony watched you for a moment.

Tony: That kid is seriously going to mess up Tarleton when he gets the change.

Hulk nodded in agreement. The rest of them followed you as you reached an open area.

Kamala: So, where to now?

JARVIS: Records show a secured lab at the end of the hallway.

You followed his directions and reached a monitor. You hacked into it and the doors opened. There was a room, but something was off.

Kamala: Where's the lab?

Pym: You sure this is the right place?

JARVIS: I've nearly breached AIM's network, they're hiding something. Standby and take care of the AIM forces.

Kamala: Oh, they'll be seen to.

As you all charged forward towards the bots, your helmet gave you a warning. You quickly leaped out of the way just as a knife landed where you once were.

Tony: Did you just throw a knife at yourself?

Y/N: No. That came from somewhere else.

Suddenly, a figure dropped down from the roof and landed in the middle of the room. As they stood up, you found yourself frozen in place. This was the Kraken armor you learned about back at the Archive.

Kraken: So, the Avengers finally appear. About time.

They pulled out their blade and pointed it towards you. The bots stopped their advance.

Kraken: I have direct orders to bring you and the girl in. Obey without resistance and I shall not kill the others.

You stepped forward and pulled out a knife.

Y/N: Bring it on.

Kraken: I gave you a warning. What happens now, is on you.

They dashed forward at an amazing speed which almost got you killed. You managed to block their blade with your knife as the bots activated once again and charged forward.

Tony: Kid!

Y/N: Take care of the bots! I'll handle the robot ninja!

Kamala was hesitant to leave you alone with this new threat, but she obeyed your order and focused on the bots.

You broke the hold between you and Kraken. They dashed forward once again and attacked you, but you leaped out of the way and threw two knives at them. They blocked them both with their blade before they dashed forward again.

Y/N: They're fast. And strong. I have no idea how I'm going to beat them.

You blocked another attack before Kraken began to rapidly slice at you. You manged go miss most of the blows bit three still got you. You staggered back and Kraken leaped up into the air. They pointed their blade down at you but you manged to roll out of the way before they could stab you.

You threw another knife at them which stabbed into their shoulder. They were unfazed. They pulled their blade out of the ground and you connected a knife to your grapple. You then spun it around as you flipped and leaped all around Kraken. Kraken took most of the hits but they still seemed unaffected.

Y/N: The hell is that armor made of?

You landed and recalled your line and Kraken looked at you.

Kraken: Tarleton said you would be difficult. You and the girl will be coming with me regardless.

Y/N: You won't lay a damn finger on her.

Kraken looked over to Kamala and began to chuckled.

Kraken: Oh, really now?

Before you could respond, Kraken had already dashed over to Kamala. You threw a knife but you missed.

Y/N: WATCH OUT!

Kamala turned too late. Kraken was now behind her and a blade was held against her throat. Tony and Hulk defeated the last of the bots as you stood there staring at Kraken and Kamala.

Kraken: If you surrender, I'll spare the girl. However, if you contiue to resist....

They made their point by pushing the blade against Kamala's throat which caused it to bleed slightly. While they thought they had you under their circumstances, you smiled under your helmet. Looks like your plan worked after all.

Y/N: Fine. I give up. Just, just don't do the cinnamon twist.

Kraken looked at you confused.

Kraken: The...what?

Kamala: The cinnamon twist.

Kamala suddenly twisted her whole body and smacked Kraken away. She then rushed over to you as you pulled out another knife. You both high five as Kraken stood back up.

Kraken: This, this is far from over.

Tony: Damn right it is. We haven't had our fun yet.

Kraken looked at the four of you and growled.

Kraken: Soon. We will fight again and I will make you pay.

They threw down a smoke bomb which blocked your view. You still threw a knife but it hit nothing. Kraken was gone.

Y/N: Damnit. Another one of Tarleton's guard dogs to deal with.

Kamala: We'll get him next time. For now, letting just focus on the mission we have right now.

You nodded and looked back at the lab.

Tony: JARVIS, report.

JARVIS: It seems that AIM is trying to physically remove somekind of research sample from their experiments. An transport ship is preparing to take off.

Pym: Whatever is on that transport, I want it captured. Stop it before it leaves.

Y/N: On it.

You all headed to the next elevator and you hit the button. The elevator began to move back up as you all prepared yourself for another fight.

Kamala: How do we stop that thing from taking off?

Y/N: I don't think we can. Maybe we can hack into it and send it somewhere else, though. Like, say, the Ant Hill?

Pym: Can you do that?

Y/N: I'll need some time but, I can definitely try.

The doors opened and you spotted the ship ready for take off. Perfect.

JARVIS: Looks like we made it just in time. There's three terminals that you would need to hack into in order for you to change the destination.

Y/N: It's never easy, is it?

Tony: Go ahead, kid. We'll cover you.

You nodded and headed off on your own. As you did, bots began to appear. You followed the path in your hud to the first terminal where you immediately began to hack into the systems.

As you hacked away, the others rushed into action to keep the bots away from you. You were on the clock now. If you messed up, that was it. No second chance.

You typed on the terminal before the screen turned green. One down, two more to go. As you turned to head to the second one, your helmet gave you a warning. Before you could react, you found yourself being slammed to the ground by a bot larger than you.

You rolled out of the way to avoid a second hit before you threw your knife at the bot. You hit it again with your bare fist and realized just how bad it hurts to do so. Normally, your adrenaline would kick in and stop your pain.

You stood back up and noticed a fire ax mounted to the side of a pillar nearby. Well, when life gives you lemons.

You pulled it out of the wall and slammed it into the bot which destroyed the head in one hit. You pulled it out and looked at it.

Y/N: Huh. Practical.

You decided to keep it on you and headed off to the second terminal. You got to work on it immediately and noticed that this one had to take longer.

Y/N: C'mon.

Kamala: You alright?!

Y/N: Yeah! Just, keep these things off me! Almost there!

Kamala: Okay!

You heard her smash another bot just as the hack completed. Good. One more to go. You shot out a line and swung off to the final terminal. You looked down and noticed Hulk was being swarmed. You jumped down and grabbed onto the giant. You leaped off his back and slammed the ax into the ground which released a powerful blast of your electricity.

Y/N: Woah. No way.

Tony: What was that?

Y/N: I think the ax I used just acted as a conductor. I don't even feel tired.

Pym: Then you might want to hang onto that. We can make some adjustments back here at the Ant Hill.

You nodded and headed off to the final terminal. As you hacked away, you could hear your team destroy everything. They would such at any stealth mission.

Y/N: Annnnnd...done!

Kamala: It's taking off.

Sure enough, the transport began to fly up into the air with the samples.

Pym: JARVIS?

JARVIS: Master Y/N was successful in directing the transport to the Ant Hill. It should arrive within the hour.

Pym: Excellent work, everyone. Head back here and we'll start going through those samples.

You smiled as you watched the transport fly off.

You were back in the Quinjet with Bruce and Kamala as Pym praised your work. Tony had decided to bring back the Chimera to the Ant Hill to better help their defense systems. You and Kamala were sitting together while Bruce was checking on the flight patterns.

Pym: That didn't go according to plan, but we did it. We got some valuable research samples but AIM is much more powerful than anticipated.

Kamala: And they have so many of our people. We have to stop them.

You looked at her for a moment. She had that same look she had back at the Archive.

Y/N: And we will. But, we can't do that all in one go.

Kamala: Then we'll have to get to work.

Pym: Agreed, Kamala, but we need a chance to regroup. When Tony gets here with the Chimera, we'll be in a much better position to go on the offensive.

Kamala looked a bit upset, but she nodded anyway.

Kamala: Okay....but we can't wait much longer.

Pym: Okay, head back to the Ant Hill and we'll talk next steps.

Y/N: Will do. Thanks, Hank.

The transmission ended and the three of you were left in silence. Bruce was off to himself, so you decided to have a word with Kamala.

Y/N: Hey, you alright?

Kamala looked at you for a moment before she nodded and looked back down.

Kamala: I'm just...I just want to hurry up and help everyone. I can't sit around much longer.

Y/N: Will have our chance. For now, these missions are helping in big ways. Those samples are going to help Dr. Pym. Trust me.

Kamala: I want to. And I do. But, how much longer are those Inhumans going to have to wait for their freedom? How much longer are we going to be running around like this?

You just shrugged. You didn't know what to say right now. You got how she felt. Really, you did. But at the same time, you knew these things took time. If the adults really could just go and stop AIM, they would've by now.

Y/N: Hey, you said you trust me, right?

Kamala looked at you.

Kamala: With every fiber of my being.

Kamala: Yeah.

Y/N: Then trust me when I say, we will break everyone out. And we will do it together. You have my word. But if we rush these things, someone is going to get hurt or killed. This isn't just some game.

Kamala met your eyes and the two of you sat there for a moment. Finally, she nodded.

Kamala: Okay. I trust you.

Y/N: Thanks. I, uh, trust you too. Even though we haven't known each other for long, you're still my friend. I don't want any of you to get hurt. Especially you.

When you turned away, Kamala found herself blushing at your words. You really did mean it. The two of you started this journey together. You intended to end it the same way.

Suddenly, Kamala grabbed your hand causing you to look at her as well.

Kamala: I don't want you to get hurt either! I promise that I'll do everything I can to make sure everyone stays safe!

You looked at her with wide eyes before you found your cheeks burning up.

Bruce: I feel like I should be, anywhere else right now.

The two of you suddenly remembered that Bruce was there with you which only added to the embarrassment. You both separated from each other and pretended that you weren't mere inches away from each other.

Y/N: W-Well, just another day in the life of a hero.

Kamala: Y-Yep!

Bruce just rolled his eyes.
