*Disclaimer: (y/h/c) means your hair color; (another h/c) is another hair color. I did this to ensure you would be able to actually change it rather than pretend it was different or whatever. ANYWAY, to the story!
And don't question the timeline or biology. Source: trust me, bro
It was weird being in love with an android. Really weird. There was a lot of hesitancy from the Avengers, especially your father Steve, but they learned to accept it. But when the Avengers fell apart and the two of you chose different sides, you thought it was over.
Then Tony Stark nearly killed you and Vision realized that he couldn't feel like a person if you weren't there. You made him feel and that wasn't exactly something the android was programmed to do. It was something he didn't want to lose.
And so you ran away together and never looked back. Ever. Until today.
"Vis, please. I just want to get a message out to dad," I begged. "I need to tell him something important that I'm afraid can't really wait."
He sighed. "(Y/n), it's too dangerous. Nearly every government out there is looking for us, the Captain, his friends- a message would expose us all. What is it you need to talk to him about?"
You hesitated, not wanting to share this information with him just yet. This was a point in time where she needed her father, the man who was forced into another time and only found peace when he had you.
"You don't need to worry about it, Vis. Let's just get to the station so you can check in with your own father," you joked.
"I don't really know if it's appropriate to refer to him as my father, but I guess I can accept it," he said with a laugh. He brought you in for a soft kiss and the two of you got dressed to go out. He used his mind stone to change his appearance to one of a human and you put on some jeans, a sweater, and a jacket to keep warm.
After you put your boots and scarf on, the two of you walked out of your humble apartment to find your way down to the station. The only reason you travelled by train was to keep Vision's identity as much of a secret as possible. He was lucky, able to literally change himself from a robot to a human, while all you could really do was dye your hair from (y/h/c) to (another h/c).
You two walked hand in hand down the cobblestone streets. It felt like a fairytale sometimes with the cobblestone and the bricks and old houses. It was a nice little place, but you had no idea where it was. Vision brought you here while you were recovering and you never asked- it's not like you needed to.
Until you need to notify your father about something and have no idea where either of you are.
"Darling," Vis said and the two of you stopped in front of a window where a TV sat, playing a news station. Even if the language was one you didn't know, it didn't take a genius to figure out the report.
You gasped and found it hard to breathe. "Tony Stark is... gone? Just disappeared on a spaceship?" you questioned, lost on how the hell any of this happened.
Vision turned to give you an answer but got stabbed through the chest from behind instead. You gasped as his disguise fell and he was lifted higher into the air. "Vis!" you screamed.
The person responsible for the stabbing looked at you with a maniacal grin. Anger built up in your eyes and you flexed your fingers. With your left hand you started to close it into a fist and watch as the sword through your lover's chest became a liquid and allowed Vis to fall through.
You then quickly changed the ground under the asshole into liquid, causing him to fall until you opened your fist and changed it to a solid again. The alien looking thing was surprised at this and struggled in the ground while you helped Vision up.
"Come on, let's go," you said as he leaned on you and you hurried away.
But then another alien looking thing showed up in front of you, growling slightly. "Let go of my husband," she said in a low, threatening voice. "Otherwise I'll have to kill you both and I only really need him."
Carefully you put Vision aside and he leaned up against a wall. "Good luck with that," you said back with a smirk.
The alien let out a battle cry and charged at you with her sword. With slight movement, you changed the density of her sword into a gas, causing it to float away. She growled and decided to just attack you straight on, no more weapons to hide behind.
Your abilities were a bit hard to use on living things like people (and aliens now) so you started to utilize the hand-to-hand combat Natasha had taught you and held her off. Her focus seemed to be solely on you so Vision used this time to get away and get to a place where help could be called.
She cornered you into the wall of a building, so you made it a gel like substance and fell through and she followed, a bit more disoriented than you. You got up quickly and the two of you continued to fight hand-to-hand.
With a quick glance, you saw you two were in the entrance to the station. Which meant-
Your thoughts were interrupted when she pushed you and you went flying back, but when you thought you were going to land on the ground, you kept going. "Stairs," you thought once you landed at the bottom. "That's what was coming."
She smirked at you from the top of the stairs and was ready to jump down to you when something shot at her from behind- a yellow beam. "Vis!" you called, and rolled out of the way before the alien could land on you.
The man- well, android- in question came stumbling forward. "Get up!" he called. You scrambled to get up but she grabbed hold of your ankle and managed to swing you over and further into the train station.
When you landed, the wind was knocked out of you and you couldn't breathe for a minute. You laid on the floor, gasping and aching. The alien wasn't being very fast but she was working her way towards you. Seems like her fall down the stairs was pretty painful.
The second she stood up, however, someone else shot her. This person was behind you. You turned your head and saw two shadowy figures coming out. The first one that became visible to you was your dad, Steve Rogers.
"Dad," you wheezed. He came over and helped you up and you saw the other figure was Natasha. "Mom."
Turning around, you saw Sam helping Vis down the stairs to meet up with the rest of you. All you could do was smile. "Let's get you guys on the jet and get out of here." You and Vis used another person as a crutch and followed your mom as she led you all to the escape plan.
~~
You thought Wakanda would be a peaceful chance for you and Vis to recover. Apparently, you thought wrong. Wanda met the two of you there and stayed with you while Princess Shuri removed the stone from Vision's forehead and you recovered from a few broken and fractured bones from being thrown down the stairs.
But then aliens came pouring out of the sky and into the protected Wakanda. Your friends were out there- your parents were out there, fighting for their lives and the lives of everyone on Earth. It also didn't take a genius to see they were after your boyfriend's life force- the stone.
"Wanda, please, I have to go out there," I said as I struggled to sit up. Vision was on the other side of the room doing his thing, so you leaned closer to Wanda. "Please, I have to protect him. I have to protect the father of my child."
Her eyes went wide and you saw that she wanted to start cheering, but she glanced over her shoulder to Vis and then looked back at you with so much worry. "He doesn't know..." You nodded, even though it wasn't even a question. "How far along?"
"Three months at this point."
"No, you can't go out there and risk both your lives," she concluded, glancing briefly at your stomach. "I will stay here to protect you guys as long as I can."
This didn't last long. You both saw these huge mechanisms mowing people down, so with a nod from you, she hurried out of there and joined their fight. You didn't realize that this was some sort of trap, because then an alien came running into the room.
"Shuri!" you screamed as she tried to fight him off. You hurried up and tried to turn the floor below him into a liquid but he shot something at your feet and you were knocked down. The landing was painful and you groaned as you laid there.
Shattering glass caught your attention and you just caught Vision's foot going down the window holding the alien. Shuri hurried over to you to make sure you were okay, but you were lost. Vision was going to die, and you couldn't do anything.
~~
The weeks following were a disaster. Shuri had disappeared when she was helping you back into your medical bed, causing you to panic and scream. Your mom and dad found you in hysterics on the floor, knowing what they had to tell you would be even more devastating.
After they finally broke the news to you, only a day after you got back to the compound, you locked yourself away.
"How are you after this... mess," Tony asked Natasha as he laid in his hospital bed. Just two days ago the Avengers killed Thanos and came back more depressed than when they left. Tony hadn't really wanted to talk to anyone, but he missed his friends.
Natasha looked over at him and wanted to give him a small smile, but couldn't even manage to do that. "Not good. Not even close," she answered and walked into his little makeshift hospital room. "(Y/n)... I haven't seen her since we told her Vision was killed... the only way we know she's alive is because she'll eat the food we leave outside her room."
Tony frowned. "I'm really sorry about that..."
She didn't answer with words, but the small nod she gave him showed her appreciation. They fell into another silence.
You sat on the end of your bed, hunched over and staring at your feet below you. You don't move unless it's to eat and use the bathroom. Not only were you grieving the loss of your boyfriend and you best friends, you were also scared of yourself. If you weren't pregnant, you know for a fact you wouldn't be eating anything at all right now.
Whoever was in your body was your last connection to Vision.
~~
As the months went by, you hadn't improved much. Okay, you didn't improve at all- instead you got worse. Natasha came in your room one day, worried after seeing a full plate of food left at your door for hours. That's how the news of your pregnancy came out, and the hospitalization started.
Tony set up a room in the Compound as your hospital room rather than putting you in a public hospital, no matter how good their VIP section is.
"(Y/n), how are you feeling today?" your dad asked as he walked in.
You turned your head to face him and nodded with a small smile, the first genuine smile in a while. "Better." He smiled and sat down at the designated visitors chair. At least, that's what you've decided to call it since everyone sat in that chair and that chair only.
"We found out the gender of your baby if you want to know now?" he offered.
But he didn't need to. "I know it's going to be a girl. I can... I can feel it if that makes any sense. Her name will be Hope."
~~
You were right. Hope was born on February 13 and you found happiness. Of course you would still need to work on your mental health- that wasn't your daughter's responsibility it was yours. But she showed you that there was still, well, hope in your life.
Steve and Natasha immediately started working on getting a house nearby for you all to live in. You were fine staying in the Compound, especially since your mom volunteered herself to stay and keep in contact with the others- Rocket, Carol Danvers, and Okoye.
But their were persistent and now you were about a 10 minute drive away from the Compound in a nice little house your dad built (with a little help, of course).
For five years you found peace. For five years, you watched little Hope grow up and become best friends with Tony and Pepper's kid, Morgan. There was still a lot of tension between Tony and your dad, but you and Tony got along pretty well. You both had little girls about the same age, so you were able to bond over that.
Even so, even with all the friends you had around, you kept the position of 'godmother' open to Wanda if she ever comes home. One day, you hoped to god one day she'd come home. You hoped Vision would come home. You wanted everyone back.
"Knock knock!" a voice yelled through the doorway. You turned your head and saw Steve standing in the doorway with Natasha and another person behind him. Hope went running over to them and your dad caught her in a huge bear hug.
"To what do I owe the pleasure?" you asked, setting your book down and walking over to them. After a quick introduction to Ant-Man, AKA Scott Lang, they told you about the 'Time Heist' and their plan to get everyone back.
Even though you were very hesitant, sharing the same concerns Tony held, you decided that you'd go down and help. If they could find a way back in time, you wouldn't be going. Instead you and Bruce-Hulk would man the control panel and be ready with water and anything they might need after coming back.
You were standing at the control panel, ready for them to go. With one last nod sent to your mom and dad, Bruce-Hulk pressed the button and they disappeared.
"This is agonizing," you mumbled as Hope sat on the ground next to you playing with some dolls she brought with her. There was a noise of agreement next to you. "Is it time?"
"Almost... now!" The two of you did what you needed and everyone was back on the platform again. You immediately ran up to them, letting Hope stay in her happy little world, and made sure everyone was okay.
They were all smiling, so you knew it had been a success. Until you looked to where Clint and your mom had been standing.
It seemed that everyone noticed at the same time, too. The happiness was gone as you looked to your dad. "Where's mom?"
~~
Pepper had come by and picked up Hope form you, but not without giving you a huge hug first. You were scared to send Hope away from you because you had no idea what was about to go down at the Compound.
But thank god you did. The explosion sent you flying somewhere- you had no idea where you ended up. All you knew was everything hurt and you couldn't move. Your arm was definitely broken but as for why you couldn't move, that was because there was a huge concrete slab just laying on top of you.
"Help..." you wheezed, and it was quickly followed by a fit of coughs. "Help!" you yelled, trying to muster up any energy you had. When you couldn't see or hear anyone, you tried to turn the concrete crushing you into a gas or a liquid at the very least. But you were drained. You couldn't do anything.
It felt like you had been laying there for hours before you heard someone coming your way. Someone you knew. "(Y/n)!" they called, and you recognized it to be that Ant-Man guy, Scott.
"Scott!" you called out, relief flooding you. The footsteps hurried and you saw him in his suit, but he was human sized. "Scott, please help," you breathed out.
In no time at all, he had you, Rhodey, and Bruce-Hulk in his Giant-Man grasp. When you saw the thousands of people waiting below, you were scared at first. But then you realized, these were your people. They had joined together to fight off Thanos and his army. And somehow, somehow the Snap Bruce-Hulk did brought everyone back.
Well, almost everyone.
As you fought down below, you found Wanda and stuck with her. She fought off Thanos and you fought off those who dare try and get to her. You were still low on energy, so you couldn't do much with your powers, but you still fought like hell. Tony at one point gave you some blaster that you used most of the time, other times your hand-to-hand skills.
Suddenly, you were blown off your feet and fell back with a spray of dirt to the face. The impact cause you to groan and you coughed, but then there was another blast. And another. When you finally got a chance to look up, you saw Thanos' ships shooting down at the ground.
You got up and ran, trying to find a place where you could take cover. As you did, you saw people and aliens around you getting hit and cringed at the sight.
Just as you were about to reach a spot, a blast hit right next to you and you were thrown to the side. Pain sizzled through you, you could barely move.
"(Y/n)!" someone shouted. A figure came over and suddenly it was darker. You focused on the person as they asked, "Are you okay?"
It was Sam. You smiled at him and went to talk but gasped in pain instead. He shook is head. "It's okay, we'll just have to keep you out of the action, okay? I'm going to bring you over to Strange and they'll keep an eye on you."
You didn't know who this 'Strange' person was, but it sounded better than this. Sam's wings moved and you realized they had been covering the two of you in a shell type way. He picked you up and flew you over to where a bunch of people with glowing orange stuff coming from their hands were holding back water that was waiting to pour in. You were set down next to a man who Sam said a couple words to before flying off.
Everything felt fuzzy and your ears rang. The man tried to talk to you, but you couldn't hear him. The water threat, however, was something you did understand and could possibly do something to fix. You closed your eyes and mustered up as much strength as possible to help.
Your fist closed and you felt the water molecules become lighter. When you opened your eyes, you saw confusion as people watched a strange cloud of something leave the water. But the water levels were going down, and that's what you wanted to do.
"You can rest now, we've got it from here," the man next to you said. He didn't have to tell you twice, and so you uncurled your fist and laid on the ground with heavy breaths. Your eyes closed and you let yourself relax.
Battle sounds raged around you but you paid them no mind. You felt done and ready to move on from all of this. If you came out of this alive, you were going to be a mother and you were going to be the best one possible.
Suddenly, you opened your eyes. You didn't want to but something told you to. Sitting up carefully, you looked over and saw people trying to take Thanos on. In a split decision while fighting against Captain Marvel, someone you have yet to truly talk to, you turned the ground under Thanos into a quicksand-like dirt. When he sank to his knees, you turned the ground to stone.
He was confused and distracted enough by this that Captain Marvel was able to tear the glove off of him and put it on herself. You watched through tired eyes as she stared the titan down with a cold glare and snapped the fingers.
A ripple went through the air and your hair was pushed away from your face. You started to look around to see what she did. People started to disappear, but this time, it wasn't your friends.
Thanos's army started turning into the same ash and dust you saw Shuri become many years ago except this time, you were happy to see it. The titan sat on a rock in his defeat and calmly dusted away into nothingness.
Some people went over to help Captain Marvel get the stones off of her arm while others came over to help you, namely your dad.
"(Y/n)!" He came sprinting over and kneeled down beside you. "Are you hurt?" he asked and carefully started to help you up. You decided to ignore the hammer he had placed down by his side.
With a small struggle and a couple sharp pains, you were standing. "I'm good now. I just..." You looked away from him and off to the distance and thought about the people you've lost to get to this point.
He pulled you into a hug and you melted in for a moment, then pulled away. "We should check on the others. Make sure everyone's relatively okay."
~~
A funeral was held for Natasha at Tony's lake house. Everyone came, everyone mourned, but certainly not as hard you and Steve did. It felt like everyone you loved was leaving, your dad had even talked to you about how he might not come back from his time travel mission to return the stones.
After the service, when people would usually stand around and talk in low voices, you left to find a new place to live seeing as how your old home was gone. And not just the Compound.
~ 1 year later ~
You were thankful for the house now that the Compound was gone. Your mom had left some of her things in the house, too, so she wasn't completely gone. To be honest, you don't even know where your dad went, and Sam and Bucky weren't much help.
Wanda was thrilled to be the godmother and stayed with you in the house to help out with Hope and your really bad days.
It was one of those days today, the day you and Vision finally decided to try this whole "couple" thing out, despite the concerns brought up considering he is a robot. Was. Was a robot.
"(Y/n), you can't mope around. What if instead you told Hope all about him? Tell her about her father since she'll never get to meet him. It will be heard at first, but that's what I'm here for," Wanda suggested.
You sighed. "You're right, she deserves to know about her father... it's just so hard knowing she'll never get to meet him and will only have my memories to go off of," you said in a weak voice. "But it's better than nothing, I guess."
Taking her advice, you went up to Hope's room and sat on her bed as she woke up. "Hey sweetie, can we talk for a little bit? I've got some stuff to tell you about your dad." She brightened up and sat up more in her bed.
Wanda leaned against the door frame as you happily talked about Vision and who he was. The doorbell rang, interrupting what you were saying. "I can get it," Wanda said and left you two to keep talking. That barely lasted 30 seconds when Wanda suddenly called up the stairs. "(Y/n!)"
Concerned, you told Hope to stay in bed and hurried out of her room and down the stairs. You hurried over to the door and pushed Wanda out of the way to see what was going on.
"(Y/n)."
"...Vis?"

A/n: I'm worried I didn't do this request enough justice due to the time it took me to write it and just the long periods of time in between each writing session, but I hope you guys enjoyed it nonetheless!! (And I am so sorry to the requester for how long it took me to write this)
I have a couple other imagines ready to post, but I'm going to wait until I get even more so that way I can actually have enough to post a little consistently. I'm about to go on winter break so I might actually have time (cause I only work 3 times a week).
Anyway, I am so glad to have something else to post and can't wait to get more out there!
Bye Lovelies!!!!!!!!!!!!!
