Christmas Special
Christmas Special
Christmas. You loved it. The snow, the gifts, the time spent with your family and friends, it was all something you looked forward to every year. And let's not forget the amazing (but annoying) music that radio stations start playing 24/7. But you still loved it, and when you were about to have your first Christmas with the Avengers, you wanted to go all out.
"You wanna do what?" Clint asked surprised. Everyone was gathered in the living room, scattered out on couches and chairs, a few on the floor. You gather everyone in there to discuss the upcoming holiday.
"Secret Santa. It'll be fun and we don't have to worry about getting everyone a gift, only one person. Unless of course you want to get others gifts then by all means do, but I think this'll be fun and interesting," you explained further. Not even a second after you finished talking Tony spoke up.
"I'm in. Only because I want to see what poor person gets me, and if they can find me something," he said. You rolled your eyes and ignored the arrogant billionaire for a moment.
"I'm going to write down all the names of the people participating and stick it in a bowl or something and then we'll pick. Who's in?" Every hand went into the air, and you smiled at your success on getting the team on board to your awesome idea. You smiled brightly, before grabbing a bunch of little strips of paper out of your pocket.
Tony laughed. "So you were ready for this?" he asked you, smirking. You blushed slightly and set all the paper on the table in front of you, then looked at the smiling people in front of you.
"Well," you started, "I was hoping everyone would accept. I thought it'd be a great first Christmas for me on the team. My family doesn't want me down this year, so I still wanted to try and have a happy holiday!" you finished, smiling brightly. You casually skimmed over the family part for a reason, but it didn't escape some ears. Particularly Sam's.
"Wait. What do you mean 'your family doesn't want you down this year'? What happened?" he asked you.
"Paparazzi. I went down for my mom's birthday last month and they swarmed the place. I told them it was fine, we just had to meet up at some point to exchange gift," you simply stated. He nodded at you. "Alright everyone! Write your name down on one strip of paper please! Then fold it in half and place it in..." you paused as you tried to find your hat that you'd put the names in. Finally you remembered where you put it and pulled a top hat out of thin air. "Here."
Wanda smiled and laughed as she grabbed a piece of paper for her and Vision. "I'll never get used to your magic. You and Loki are wonderful with illusions and conjuring things out of thin air," she remarked. Loki, who was next to Thor, smirked and winked at you. You scoffed; what a flirt.
It took about 5 minutes more than hoped for and three Tony scoldings, but everyone's names were in the hat. You mixed them around with your magic and even managed to transfer some names from one paper to another. It made it more fun for you, seeing someone who complexly folded their paper get picked, but it not be theirs in the long run.
"Okay! Let's pick some names," you said, holding the hat out in front of you. The group got into a line and got ready to pick their Secret Santa. You had made sure that everyone knew not to spoil who they got, as it ruined the entire idea.
Everyone had picked a name out, and there was only one left for you. You plucked it out of the hat and then magiced the hat away with a flick of the wrist, and read the paper.
Thor :)
Aww, the God even drew a smiley face next to his name! A light blush powdered your cheeks as you hid the paper in one of the many pockets in your jacket, then walked to your room. Most everyone else had already left for their rooms or to go shopping already. You needed some time to think about what to get the God of Thunder.
Yes, he loved pop tarts and you could just buy him 300 boxes of that, but wanted to get him something more personal than food. So, going through your brain, you tried to think of something the blond masterpiece would enjoy. Oh yeah, you also had a tiny little mega crush on the blond god as well. That meant the gift had to be even better.
You could enlist in the help of his adopted brother, but then the surprise would go away. Suddenly, a knock on the door drew you out of your thought process. You simply willed for the door to open so you didn't have to get up and actually...do stuff. At the door, speak of the devil.
"Loki," you greeted, and sat up from your laying down position on your bed. You gestured for him to come in and he did, before closing the door. Then he shyly took a seat next to you on your bed. "What do ya need, my God of Mischief?" you asked the raven haired man. He was your best friend, so that's where the 'my' came from.
"Well, my magical friend, I need help with my gift," he confessed. Your eyebrows raised and shock took over your face. He looked at you and scoffed, before facing the wall once more. "No need to be surprised. Everyone needs help sometimes."
"No no it's just, I was thinking of enlisting in your help as well," you admitted. He gave you one look and he already knew who your secret Santa was.
"Thor?" he asked. You nodded and he took that into thought.
"You?" you asked him, hoping he would actually give up who he got so you could help.
"Lady Natasha. I'm quite honestly scared of her and have no clue what to get her," he said, and his cheeks turned slightly red at the confession he just made. You chuckled, which escalated into a full on laugh. Loki turned to you and faked being offended, and playfully punched your arm.
"Hey!" you exclaimed between your fit of laughs. "Alright, I'll help you if you help me, deal?" you asked the God of Mischief next to you.
He nodded his head and held out his right hand. Your own right hand went to his and you both smiled. He responded, "Of course."
~~
About three hours later, after shopping and eating and nearly getting lost a couple times, you and Loki managed to make it back to the tower in one piece. You would probably never go shopping with him again without disguises, as there were many fangirls and fanboys who thought chasing the two of you would be 'fun'. It was not. A man even stole one of your bags, until Loki picked him up with his green wisps of magic and forced the man to hand over your bag. The two of you got out of there fast, to say the least.
You crashed onto the couch, your bags on the floor, and Loki sat down next to you as well. "That was...something," he said quietly. The two of you saw things you would never speak of again. Ugly things. You shuddered at the thought.
"Can you remove memories?" you asked him, thinking of Harry Potter and the fact that Loki was real and actually magical. "I don't want to think of any of those things again."
Loki let out a laugh at your antics, and then calmed himself down. "No, not safely at least, There's a possibility I could erase your entire memory or hurt you," he told you. You just shrugged.
"Wouldn't be awful to lose everything," you said. "I wouldn't mind forgetting a lot of stuff actually."
"Even your feelings for my older brother, (Y/N)?" the snake next to you asked. You could hear the smirk in his little comment, there was no need to see his face to know. You sat up like a bolt of lightning and smacked him with a pillow you pulled out of the air above you. That took the god off guard, and he got smacked pretty good by the pillow on the side of his face.
"Ouch!" he yelled out, then he conjured up his own pillow and a pillow fight broke out. The two of you quickly magiced away your bags into your respective rooms, before starting the pillow fight- no. Pillow war.
Soon the rest of the Avengers joined in, grabbing pillows from their own rooms and from the couches. It was every man-woman-person for themselves. You and Wanda had silently agreed to team up, along with Vision, and soon you three were an unstoppable force. Loki joined in on your team, even though you and him started the whole thing, and after an hour of pillow fighting, the team was laying on the ground.
"Well that was interesting," you said as you ladies on the ground. The blond god you had a crush on was next to you and laughed. He pulled you into a small side hug, which caused a blush to spread its way across your face. "I need to lay down and sleep after that." You got up, grunting through the pain in your back after getting ambushed. The trek out of the room was hard, as you had to step over pillows and Avengers alike.
Once you got to the safety and comfort of your room, you went to your bed. As soon as your head hit the pillow, you were out like a light.
(Thor's POV really quick)
I decided to go follow (Y/N) to talk to her, but it took me a bit longer because a couple people tried to get in my way. I finally made it through the battlefield like setting, and trekked to (Y/N)'s room.
I got there and knocked on the closed door, only to find out it was ajar and that she didn't close it tightly.
"I'm sorry, your door was open part was already, I just-" The sight of her sleeping on her bed caused me to stop and quietly try to back out of her room. She looked so peaceful, and I smiled to myself. She was probably one of my favorite people to be around, and I preferred her company a lot of the time. (Y/N) was trying to help me get used to Midguardian technology, which included telling me that to send an email you need a computer or phone. That explains the other magic man's confusion from all that time ago.
Suddenly I realized I was still in her room and that I should probably leave her be. So I left and closed the door softly, and then went to my own room across the hallway.
~POV back to normal and time skip to Christmas Day~
You woke up, and realized it was Christmas morning! You jumped out of bed like a child and put on some slippers, ignoring the fact that you were still in your pajamas, and rushed to the living room to see some of the other Avengers in there. Thor and Loki were talking to each other on the couch, both in adorable pajamas. Thor in Thor ones, Loki in Loki ones.
"You two look adorable wearing pajamas about yourselves," you said as you tried to calmly walk into the kitchen to grab a cup of hot chocolate. Screw the fact that it was 8:30 in the morning. You wanted hot chocolate, damn it!
"Why thank you. And yours are quite boring," Loki retaliated. You looked down at your own pajamas. A gray t-shirt that said "Angel" in black, glittery cursive, and gray, black, and white plaid bottoms.
You looked back up at the brother confused. "I like mine thank you very much. They're comfortable and from Victoria's Secret and they were a gift so you can suck it." You grabbed you coco and walked over to the chair next to the brothers. They were sitting on one of the couches, about two feet apart.
An 'ooo' came from the hallway and Sam walked in, Tony and Bucky trailing behind him. The three of them were being little boys and were ooo-ing and saying 'burn' about your comment you made. The three of you sitting down just laughed.
"Merry Christmas, you children," you greeted. They all returned the greeting and grabbed their own refreshments. The rest of the team trickled into the room slowly but surely, and it was 10 by the time everyone was there.
"Is everyone ready to give their gifts? They're all under the tree, and the only name on there is the person it's going to. Ready?" you asked. It was answered with cheering and plenty of yeses to drown out any possible no's there could've been.
Reaching down, you grabbed the first present, and it started. "Peter!"
~~
At the end of it all, your present remained. Everyone else had opened theirs already. Thor loved what you got him, which ended up being three huge-ass boxes of pop tarts and you also got him a rare collectible Thor figure that you thought he'd like. He had never really understood how big and important he was to people, and now he had a better idea. Another present you loved that made your heart melt was Peter's gift to Tony. It was a selfie of the two in their superhero outfits, as well as a picture of Tony sleeping in the lab with Peter smiling and holding out a peace sign. You swore you saw tears in Tony's eyes as he hugged the kid.
"Alright (Y/N), time for you to open your gift!" Loki said. You smiled and nodded, before grabbing the box and looking at it. It was very small, about as big as camera. You tore open the wrapping paper gently, and inside was a beautiful black velvet box. When you opened it, you gasped and covered your mouth with your hand. Inside, there was a gorgeous necklace, with an opal charm on a golden chain. The opal was in a oval shape and shined brightly. It reminded you of one your grandmother had given you from the opal mines down in Australia.
"Oh my god...it's beautiful," you whispered. You looked up and saw Thor smiling brightly at you, and you knew immediately he was the one who got it for you. "Thor...how did you..." you trialed off.
"Tony helped me pick it out. I didn't know what to get you, so I invested in his help and he also helped buy it since I don't have any Midguardian money. I'm glad you like it," he said. Everyone was tired of being silent, so then they all started getting up and socializing with each other, and admiring the decorations you and Nat had put up. Oh yeah, and you and Loki picked out a gorgeous necklace with a black widow spider charm on it, as well as a pair of stunning black heels she would love. And she did.
You stood up from your spot next to the tree and walked over to a mirror. It was over by a doorway, with a desk in front of it. You set the box down on the desk and took the golden necklace out of it. You looked back up into the mirror and tried to put the necklace on. Thor's reflection appeared behind you and you met his eyes in the mirror.
"Need help?" he asked, smiling. You laughed at his happiness rivaling that of a child's.
You nodded and handed him the necklace. "Yes please." He unclamped the necklace surprisingly easy and put it around your neck. He put it on and moved our hair out of the way. You looked at it in the mirror, then turned to look up at him. "Thank you," you told him. He nodded before Wanda and Nat came over and looked at you smirking. You looked back at them confused, before Wanda pointed upwards above you and Thor.
You already knew what it was before you even looked up with Thor, your heart thumping in your chest. The stupid green plant stared down at you and you saw the last traces of green mist around it. Your eyes found Loki across the room smirking at you. Oh, if looks could kill he'd be laying on the ground with flies around him.
"What does this green plant mean?" Thor asked, very confused. Nat answered before you could tell him a lie.
"When two people get under it, it's tradition to kiss under it. Not my rules, but I will enforce it," she said, shrugging casually. Wanda was next to her trying to hide her laugh. You glared at them as well, sending invisible daggers at them.
"Oh, okay!" Thor said way to happily. You looked up at him confused, and you couldn't even meet his eyes before you felt his lips on you and oh-
It was definitely something you wanted to do for the rest of your life. His hands found your waits and your arms wrapped themselves around his neck. You were so happy and content right now, there was a huge possibility you'd never stop kissing this god in front of you. It was so nice and such a new experience.
It felt too soon, but Thor finally pulled back from you and you pulled back as well. The two of you looked at each other and you blushed madly. Seriously, you looked like a freaking tomato. You looked down and buried your face into Thor's chest. You felt his laugh vibrate through him and you, and he was laughing his ass off at your embarrassment.
He leaned down next to your ear, and spoke quietly. "I never want to stop kissing you, but I figured I should ask you on, what do you call it, a 'date' before going any further?" he suggested. When you were sure your face was less red and your confidence had boosted back up, you looked back up at the god and smiled, then nodded at him as your answer.
"Sounds great."

A/N: Aaaaaaand I did it! I wrote this out pretty quick, so I'm sorry if it sucks. There's some fluffy Thor in it though, so I hope that makes up for it a little bit.
I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and are excited for the new year coming up! I already have a goal of trying to be cleaner this upcoming year, and well....we'll see how that works. I'm also doing the most cliche resolution of working out more, but God knows I need to. I quit gymnastics back at the end of August and well, losing 9 hours of working out a week is kinda dramatic to my body. I gotta find a way to fix that.
Another thing, 341 READS?! BRUH!! THANK YOU!!
As always, feel free to comment and vote! I really want to see more comments please, I want to know what to improve on!
