This wasn't how this was supposed to happen. There was never supposed to be a war between friends...loved ones. But the battle for freedom versus justice had taken place solely a couple weeks ago. We were split up, two teams, one goal. We were a team divided. I still never chose a side, it was either Tony or Steve. My brother or my husband.
Tony thought that you would pick him in a heartbeat, no if's or and's or but's. But Steve was your family to, you'd been married for about three and a half years, dating for five. These two men were the most important people in my life, but it was hard to choose a side.
Clint slipped into the table from behind me, slipping a manila folder on my left. I grabbed it hastily, unfolding the metal plates that held that package in place. That moment I regretted opening the file, there was background information, list of procedures, pictures from the 1940's, and even a photo of Bucky himself trapped inside a cyrogenic machine. My mouth fell agape, my nerves spiking. The next piece of information I pulled out a picture that shocked my eyes, he was locked up in a cell. Having not even the slightest bit of emotion in his eyes. He looked gone.
"Tony's behind it, isn't he?" I asked hesitantly my hands shaking slipping back the information into the folder. "We're not sure, but we do know that the government has been transferring him to multiple holding cells. General Ross is behind it." Clint replied back, taking a sip of his coffee. He must have ordered it while I was looking over the intel.
"That smug son of a bitch." The anger in my voice was strained, my brother can't be behind this. It's not like him to side with the government. Especially someone who's done everything in their power to try and take the Hulk out.
"Do you even have an opinion in any of this Kailee? You've just sort of gone rogue." I sighed, my head hanging low going over every outcome and situation in my head. I know what's right from wrong, I know my value and I know what we need. I stood up from the table leaving a tip on the table for my waitress who'd given me a cresent role. "Whose side are you on?" Clint mumbled before walking out of the door.
Whose side am I really on?
There will be a part 2 for this imagine, I just wanted to get this up and posted for you certifiedfangirl98 let me know your thoughts 😊
