The Watcher

I am the Celestial, Watcher, a being with the ability to see all things, that have been, are happening and are yet to come, seeing all possible timelines and multiverses, and being able to change time, and bend it to my will. Three hundred years ago I witnessed the destruction of half of the universes living things, by the one they will come to call Thanos. I have waited hundreds of years to begin implementing my plan to stop the tyrant's destruction, but it will require a lot of work, not just done by me.

Meteora's P.O.V
When Fury had invited me to the helicarrier, requesting I help in bringing down Loki, I knew it was time. Time that I set my plan in motion.

I landed on the tarmac top of the helicarrier, my feet touching down, less gently than I'd intended. It nearly had me stumbling forward. My cheeks heated up, and I felt momentarily annoyed at myself as I glanced up to feel rielf as I realised no one had seen it anyway. I sighed and straightened, pulling the waist of my jeans a little higher, they'd slipped a little while I was flying. I often wore my black, battle, leotard and jeans when I flew recreationally. Today was no exception. I had a back pack on my back, my maroon cape and maroon knee high boots, both the other parts of my, so called "superhero" outfit, and some spare clothes in it. Naturally I didn't look like a human, but had assumed my current form to blend in and build my cover story.

I crash landed here three years ago, when Captain America had been discovered in the ice, and defrosted. Naturally, as planned, shield had picked me up, and I'd claimed, an extremely well fortified lie, about memory loss, claiming I had no idea how I'd landed on Earth, where I came from or what I was. Agent Phil Coulson had nicknamed me Meteora, it's Italian for Meteor, because I fell from the sky. Meteora had stuck, and so become my superhero name.

That was the cover story anyway.

I walked further onto the helicarrier, Director Fury meeting me half way.

"Meteora, thanks for coming." Fury said as he held out a hand for me to shake. I shook it firmly, giving a smile.

"You summoned, I have arrived." I said cheekily as he gave a small smile and nod of his head. He turned and we began to make our way across the Tarmac and into the carrier.

"The others will be arriving any minute now. Did you get the debrief?" Fury asked as we weaved through the people in the halls, heading for the bridge. I nodded my head. I'd recieved it but not needed it, as I'd seen the future. My long term memory, a couple thousand years ago, is bad, but my short term, which I consider up to a thousand years ago, is exceptional.

"Yup, read over it, I'm all caught up." I said as we entered the bridge. We stopped by the meeting room and Fury turned to face me.

"You're in the same room you were in when you first came to Earth." Nick said before giving me a nodded and leaving me at the entrance to the Break room. I entered it and dropped my bag beside a chair. I figure we'll all meet first, then go our separate ways, so I'll put my bag in my room, later. Phil Coulson passed by the open doorway, and smiled, stopping to wave.

"Meteora." He said as I smiled and waved back. I made my way to the doorway, stopping in front of him.

"Phil." I said as he smiled and we shook hands, before he continued on his way. I could see, dressed in casual clothes, Natasha Romanoff, Bruce Banner and Stever Rogers walking down the hall, so I left the break room, stopping on the Bridge, people on computers all over the room, Fury standing above them all, at his control panel.

Behind me the others began to enter the open area. Natasha confidently, knowing her way around, made her way in and began to converse with Agent Hill. Bruce Banner made his way in looking rather cautious and I could understand why. He made his way to the back of the room and stood in a small space with the least amount of people. Steve, look astonished and impressed. He pulled out his wallet and handed Fury a ten dollar note. (Yes I put it in early, I know)

My vision and sight, could see all of time, but it often didn't show me the little things. I could only assume it had something to do with his astounded face, and I chuckled. Steve glanced at the sound, which stood out amongst the formal talk of the people around us. Steve locked eyes with me and I smiled. He made his way towards me, Natasha and Bruce also, just now, noticing that I stood out in my jeans and leotard, against the sharp suits.

"You must be Meteora. You're an Alien?" Steve said as he gave a small smile, his brows furrowing cutely. He held out a hand for me to shake. I shook it and nodded, smiling brightly.

"That I am. I can fly and am stronger than the average human. A bit like you." I said as an introduction, as we let go of each others hand. "You must be Steve, the man from another time." I said as I folded my arms across my chest, my smile remaining. He nodded and let out a light chuckle. Natasha stepped forward, holding out a hand as well.

"I've heard a lot about you, Miss Meteora." Natasha started as we shook hands. "It's a shame we haven't met sooner, I was out on a mission when you first arrived here on Earth." She finished with a polite smile. I nodded and smiled back.

"It would've been nice to have another badass woman around, though Agent Hill, is certainly badass." I said as I nodded towards Maria, who was busy giving stat's to Fury. I turned to see Bruce hanging back a bit, and I smiled encouragingly at him, holding out my hand.

"Doctor Banner, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Meteora, an Alien." I said as he gingerly took my hand and shook it, adjusting his glasses.

"Please, Bruce is fine." He said, before backing up a bit, back towards his, deemed, safer spot.

"Good, let's vanish." I heard from Fury and we all turned to see him press a few buttons as the entire ship was turned invisible on the outside. Man was truly clever.

Fury turned to face us, walking towards our little group as we stood by the large table, surrounded by chairs.

"Gentlemen." Fury said towards Steve and Bruce, who were clearly impressed like he'd intended. Steve walked forward, talking a look out the windows, as Fury made his way over to Bruce. Natasha wandered off herself, crouch down by an Agents monitor, and swiping something on the screen, a picture of Agent Clint Barton appearing on it.

I knew he'd been mind controlled by Loki, who in turn was being controlled by a greater force.

"We're sweeping every wireless camera on the planet, cellphones, laptops. If it's connected to a satellite, it's eyes and ears for us." I tuned into what Phil was saying, realising they were talking about the location of the Tesseract.

"It's still not gonna find them in time." Natasha called out from her spot as she stared off into space. I knew her friend and fellow Agent being compromised, was weighing on her. Doctor Banner began to take off his coat.

"You have to narrow the field. How many spectrometers do you have access too?" Bruce asked as he began to roll up his sleeves.

"How many are there?" Fury asked, answer his question with a, 'as many as there is'. Bruce nodded.

"Call every lab you know. Tell them to put their spectrometers on the roof and calibrate them for Gamma Rays. I'll rough out a tracking algorithm basic cluster rhythm. At least we can rule out a few places." Bruce finished as he looked at Fury. Fury nodded his head, impressed.

"You have somewhere for me to work?" Bruce asked as Fury nodded at his team, before looking back at him.

"Agent Romanoff, why don't you show doctor Banner to his lab please." Fury called, as Natasha stood up, quickly making her way over with a nod.

"You're gonna love it Doc, we got all the toys." Nat said as she walked past him, Bruce following after her, as they headed towards the lab.

"Meteora, could you show Rogers to his room, it to the left of yours." Fury said as he gestured to Steve. I smiled and nodded, waving a hand at Steve as I left the room. I entered the Break room as we passed it, grabbing my bag before leading us towards the guest rooms.

"So you've been here before?" Steve asked as he fell into step beside me. I nodded as we turned down another corridor.

"They brought me here when I first crash landed on Earth, with no memories." I said as an explanation as I stopped by my room. Steve nodded with a serious look.

"I'm sorry. It must've been hard, not knowing who you are, where you're from." He said sympatheticly. I smiled and almost chuckled.

"It was, but even though I still don't know, I have a new life here, and I love it, and that's what really matters." I said as I smiled up at him. I gestured to the door to the left of mine.

"This is yours." I said as I pushed the button beside my door, it sliding open with a fizz. Steve nodded in thanks as entered my room, the door sliding shut behind me.
