Chapter 4
The Avengers came back from the mission to see Loki and Thor lounging on the couches. As soon as they saw the Avengers Loki disappeared into thin air. "Thor have you asked him how to track the Ghost?" Thor nods, "He needs an item that came from her. Anything that she's touched." He boomed. They nod and pull out her notebook. "Great, I'll pass this to Loki." Thor says and walks off. He comes back 20 minutes later shaking his head. "This Ghost is impressive. Even Loki is unable to trace her." Thor informs. They looked at him with wide eyes. "What?" Thor asked. "They're surprised I am unable to find her Thor." Loki says from behind Thor. "Her notebook has faint traces of magic so ancient and powerful it can block me out. However, I had a vision. She was sitting at a table shuffling cards. She looks up at me and tells me. 'I will come and meet the Avengers only and only if they allow me to answer questions at my free will, not be interrogated. If you agree, just think yes or no while holding my notebook that I gave Bruce.'" Loki finishes. All of them looked around. "Call Fury." Clint said.

The Avengers stood in a plain, wide open field. A rumbling sound started, then grew. The Avengers readied their weapons. A SR-71 Blackbird, one of the fastest planes in the world, sped over them quickly and release a free falling figure. They watched as she fell, gaining speed. At the last second, she threw her legs out below her, and landed safely with her jetpack. "Now Avengers, pleasure to meet you. You too Nick Fury." She said. Fury nodded. "Now, on to business, I don't have a lot of time. What services do you require of me?" "You're a mercenary." Fury stated. She paused. "You could say that, but I only do jobs for the righteous. I always check before I accept any job. If anything about you is on the internet, I can find every single bit of it." Fury nodded, writing "Righteous mercenary, electronics specialist" on his notebook. "Doctor Banner, how's the notebook?" she asked. He was taken aback. "Uh its quite well done, and don't you recognize me? Usually most people will start swarming me with questions and for my autograph." Tony Stark said. She took off her helmet and Loki stared. She was very pretty, with her heart-shaped face. Loki turned his attention away from her. Impossible. He cannot like a Midgardian. "If you haven't noticed Mr Stark. I'll be stark with you. I am not most people." She said, a smirk appearing on her face. The rest of the Avengers laughed at Tony's face. "You think you're funny aren't you?" Tony retorted. "Yes. People say I am, Thorsome." She said, punning again. Ghost said. By now even Loki and Fury were struggling to keep a smile at the sight of Tony being out-Sassed by a young female. "Let's keep this Lo-ki shall we?" She said. Tony's eye begun to twitch. "Please shut up." Tony said. "Seems our differences are pretty, stark, Stark." She said. "As amusing it is to see Tony being the annoyed one for once, we need to talk." Fury said. "Roger that." Avery said. "AHHHHH!" Tony yelled and ran into the side of the plane that they took. Tony fainted. "Whale that went well." Avery said. "So why do you need me Mr Fury? I'd be honest with you. You want to see if I am a threat, and if not, hope I am an ally. Yes I am not a threat, however I am not an ally yet." She said placing emphasis on 'yet'. "Now if you want me to join you. I have only a few terms which you'll see that are pretty easy to agree to." She said, pushing a piece of paper to Fury. The Avengers crowded around Fury.
I, Avery Nyxtia Chaos, agree to helping SHIELD whenever I can, and be their ally as an Avenger, in exchange for a few things;
1. I do not need to tell you my full past. Sure important parts, by there's a part I'd like to keep secret due to its painful nature.
2. I need medical help for someone in the future.
_________
Fury looked over the two terms. "I agree." He said and signed the paper. "Good, I presume you'll need to see how I fight etc etc so, I'll be at the Helicarrier in," she check her wristwatch. "An hour? Is that good for you Fury?" Fury nodded. "Good, I'll be going." She said and did a taxicab whistle. Her Blackbird slowly flew over with a rope hanging from it. She snagged the rope and was quickly flown away.
