"Did we get them all?" Steve asked once everyone arrived back in the machine. "You telling me this'll actually work?" Rocket asked as everyone raises the stones, but I noticed that Clint looked distraught and that Natasha was not next to him. "Clint, where's Nat?" Bruce asked him, but Clint doesn't answer.

Instead, he looks up at us and we could tell that he was extremely sad and upset. Then realization hits us as Bruce punched the floor and falls to his knees while we all stood in silence for a fallen friend.

Steve, Bruce, Thor, Clint and I were standing out on the dock by the lake as we were trying to recover from the news. "Do we know if she had family?" I asked Steve. "Yeah. Us." Steve replied and Thor makes a noise. "What? I just asked him a question..." I said to him, slightly annoyed. "Yeah, you're acting like she's dead. Why are we acting like she's dead? We have the stones, right? As long as we have the stones, Cap, we can bring her back, isn't that right? So stop this shit. We're the Avengers, get it together." Thor said.

"We can't get her back." Clint said to him. "Wha-what?" Thor asked. "It can't be undone. It can't." Clint replied and Thor starts to chuckle. "I'm sorry. No offense, but you're a very earthly being. Okay? We're talking about space magic. And can't seems very definitive don't you think?" He said. "Look, I know that I'm way outside my paygrade here. But she still isn't here, is she?" Clint said, angrily. 

"No, that's my point." Thor said but Clint yells. "It can't be undone! Or that's at least what the great floating guy had to say. Maybe you wanna go talk to him? Okay? Go grab your hammer, and you go fly and you talk to him!"

The others and I stare at Clint as he looks down at the floor then said. "It was supposed to be me. She sacrificed her life for that damned stone. She bet her life on it."

Bruce grabs a bench and throws it in the water as he let's out a yell of anger. He takes a few deep breathes as he looks over at the rest of you. "She's not coming back." Bruce said, sadly. "We have to make it worth it. We have to." He continues and Steve looks over at him and nods. "We will." Steve said, firmly.

Hours later, I was able to build a gauntlet to hold all six Infinity stones and Rocket and I placed the stones in the gauntlet. "BOOM!" Rocket exclaims and I jumped in fright then looked over at the raccoon, who was laughing his ass off. I shake my head and roll my eyes as we take the gauntlet out and bring it to the others.

"Alright. The glove’s ready. Question is, who’s going to snap their freaking fingers?" Rhodey asked as all of us were standing in a room. "I’ll do it." Thor said as he steps up.

"Excuse me?" I said, confused. "It’s okay." Thor said as he walks over to the gauntlet but I stop him. "No, no, no, no. Stop. Stop. Slow down." I said to him. "Thor, just wait. We haven’t decided who’s going to put that on yet." Steve said to him.

"I’m sorry. What were you just sitting around waiting for the right opportunity?" Thor asked. "We should at least discuss it." Scott said, assuredly.

"Look, us sitting here staring at that thing is not going to bring everybody back. I’m the strongest Avenger, okay? So this responsibility falls upon me. It’s my duty." Thor said as he looks around at us.
"Normally, yes. It’s not about that." I said. "It’s not that...it’s...stop it! Just let me. Just let me do it. Just let me do something good. Something right." Thor begs as he tries to grab the gauntlet but I keep him away from it.

"No, it’s not just the fact that that glove is channeling enough energy to light up a continent. I’m telling you, you’re in no condition." I said to him.

"What do you think is coursing through my veins right now?" Thor asked me. "Cheez Whiz?" Rhodey asked. "Lightning." Thor stated. "Lightning won’t help you, pal. It’s got to be me." Bruce said as he looks at the gauntlet. You and the others look over at Bruce with worry before he speaks again. "You saw what those stones did to Thanos. It almost killed him. None of you could survive."

"How do we know you will?" Steve asked him. "I don't. But the radiation's mostly gamma. It's like...I was meant for this." Bruce said as he picks up the gauntlet. "Good to go, yeah?" I asked him as Bruce looks down at the gauntlet then up to us.

"Let's do it." He said. "You remember everyone Thanos snapped away five years ago and just bringing them back to now, today. Don't change anything from the last five years." I instructed him and Bruce nodded.

"Got it." He said. "Friday, do me a favor and activate protocol 8." I said to my AI. "Yes, boss." The AI said and large steel walls started to surround the room as everyone gets into position and put on our helmets and or armor, ready for an explosion. "Everybody comes home." Steve said and Bruce nod as he puts on the gauntlet.

As the gauntlet slipped on his hand, the
gauntlet turns on and multi-color veins forms on Bruce's right hand. Bruce screams out in pain as the veins travels up to his neck and face. All of us watch him with worry as he continues to scream in pain then falls down to one knee.

"Take it off. Take it off!" Scott exclaims but Steve raises his hand to him. "No, wait." He said then he turns to Bruce. "Bruce, are you okay? Talk to me, Banner." He said as Bruce groans and screams. "I'm okay. I'm okay." Bruce assures Steve then he slowly raises his right hand and then snaps his fingers.

After Bruce snapped his fingers, he the gauntlet falls off of his arm as he fall backwards and we could see that Bruce's right arm and his right side of his face was burned up. "Did it work?" Bruce asked as everyone runs to his side and the steel walls rise up.

As Steve goes over to Bruce's side, Clint heard his phone going off. He walks over to the desk and saw that his wife was the one that was calling him. "Honey." Clint answered his phone and he smiled when he hears her voice.

Scott stepped out of the room and looked out of the window and saw the sun was shining and the birds were singing. "Guys...I think it worked!" Scott said, smiling. But suddenly, an explosion happened and we were tossed around the room as more and more explosions happen and I was knocked out.

I wake up and push off the debris on top of me as I look around. Then I could see Thor was standing at a large opening, staring intently out towards the grounds. I walk next to him and saw Thanos sitting in the middle of the ground, surrounded by the rubble of the once standing Avengers Headquarters.

My fists clench as I glare at the Titan then I pick up Steve's shield then go over to Steve. "Come on. We can stop him. Come on, buddy. Wake up." I said to Steve, who wakes up. "That's my man." I said as Steve sits up. "You lose this again, I'm keeping it." I said as I hold up the shield.

"What happened?" Steve asked me. "We messed with time. It tends to mess back. You'll see." I said as we walk over to Thor. 

I gesture my head towards the side as Steve gets up and grabs his shield from me. We go over to Thor, who was still standing on the side as he watches Thanos. "What's he been doing?" Steve asked. "Absolutely nothing." Thor replied.

"Where are the stones?" Steve asked. "Lost somewhere under all this. All we know is he doesn't have them." I replied. "So we keep it that way." Steve said as we stare at the Titan.

"You know it's a trap, right?" Thor said. "Yeah...I don't much care." I replied. "Just as long as we're all in agreement." Thor said as his eye turn into the electric blue and you hear thunder booming in the sky.

Then lightening strikes on Thor and his clothes changed to armor and his beard was braided and hair was tied up. He raises his hands and both Stormbreaker and Mjolnir, which he brought back with him from 2013 when he and Rocket went to Asgard to get the Reality Stone, come to him.

"Let's kill him, properly this time." Thor said in a low growl. And we make our way down off the ledge and towards Thanos.

As we get closer, Thanos raises his head and looks over at us. "You could not live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me. I thought by eliminating half of life, the other half would thrive." Thanos said as Thor walks over to the side and Steve and I walk right in front of him.

"But you've shown me, that's impossible. And as long as there are those that remember what was, there will always be those that are unable to accept what can be. They will resist." said Thanos. "Yep. We're all kinds of stubborn." I said.

"I'm thankful. Because now, I know what I must do. I will shred this universe down to its last atom. And then...With the stones you've collected for me, create a new one. Teeming with life, but knows not what it has lost but only what it has been given. A grateful universe." Thanos said as he stands up, walks over to his giant double blade and picks up the helmet that was hanging off of it and put it on.

"Born out of blood." Steve remarked. "They'll never know it. Because you won't be alive to tell them." Thanos said as he turns to face us.

Thor let's out a yell and the three of us run at him and just gave it all we got. Thor would hit Thanos a few times with Stormbreaker and Mjolnir, I would blast him and Steve would punch and hit him with his shield.

But it seemed no matter how many blows we gave Thanos, he wouldn't go down. He fought and fought the three of us and he was able to handle it, pretty well. "Okay, Thor. Hit me." I said as the back of mu suit opens a hole and Thor aims lightening at it with Mjolnir. This charges up some of my cannons, that I had aimed at Thanos, and fired.

Thanos raises up his blade and spins it around incredibly fast, which blocked the blast but he was knocked back a bit but still stood his ground. Then I come up to him and start to punchinf him while Thor raises Mjolnir and throws it in the air and swings Stormbreaker to hit Mjolnir, like a bat would with a baseball.

But before the hammer could hit him, Thanos picks up me and used me as his shield, making the hammer hit me and I fly off then I pass out from the hit.
