Chapter 8

—Two Years after "The Decimation"—

Scott was lying down in the living room, waiting for someone to talk to. Bruce and Rocket were still working on their little project in the lab and Steve and Natasha were still in Japan. He was getting bored so he started looking around.

He went into the hangar where there were four jets placed. One of the slots were empty which was the one Steve and Natasha took. There was a hallway passing through it and into the main lobby. There wasn't anyone working but the waterfall and plants were still fresh, like no one has touched.

There was many things to like about the facility. He gazed outside the green field and dark forest. But there was a small room just behind the conference room. It was heavily advance but he entered it anyways. He opened one of the suits and a Iron Man model appeared.

"What the hell?" Scott muttered, looking at the model.

"I advise you not to touch it, Mr. Lang, as it is a work-in-progress." F.R.I.D.A.Y. said.

"Progress? Who's working on the suit?"

"Mr. Stark is working on the suit. In his absence, I have been tasked to secure it."

"Interesting." Scott moved back and took another look, "Now, can you be real with me? I know you're an AI and don't display any feelings, but... do you think Stark will come back here?"

"I don't believe so, Mr. Lang. I have no contact with him ever since Mr. Stark has left Earth."

"Well, there's always some way Tony Stark could find himself out of situations." Scott sighed and looked into the suit's eyes, "This may be one of those situations."

"Mr. Lang, I believe Captain Rogers And Agent Romanoff have arrived." F.R.I.D.A.Y. reported.

"Really?" Scott peeked outside and saw the Quinjet landing, "Are they the only ones who arrived?"

"I believe I have registered Agent Barton's heartbeat."

"This is going to be fun." Scott muttered, fixing his shirt.

—Space—

Thor used the old ship near Nidavellir which belonged to Rocket. He started to venture off into places where he thought that the Asgardians could be hiding. His first guess would be Vanaheim because it was the place Valkyrie told him they were going to hide in. There was enough land for Asgardians to set up camp. Once Thor thought of it, he flew towards Vanaheim.

There weren't too many stars on the way to the place. It was infinite space where Thor was travelling through. There was enough food to last for a week but he knew he would find them in a matter of hours.

When he arrived at Vanaheim, there was a abundance of fields and crops being picked. This may be because of Thanos's chaos. More and more planets are struggling with the loss of half of their population. Everybody there is struggling.

Thor landed in one of the villages and walked around for a little. There was some people looking at him strangely which Thor ignored. He walked up to a merchant and kindly asked for the Asgardians.

"Good morning, kind sir." Thor smiled, entering the shop, "Quite the shop you have here."

"Well it's one of a kind in this village located in Vanaheim." The merchant happily said.

"I'm actually not going to be purchasing any products. Would you mind if I ask anything?"

"Sure, son." The merchant smiled.

"Have you seen any Asgardians living around here. At least one Asgardian?"

"Oh yes. The Asgardians!" The merchant laughed, "Those people. They always make me smile. They live in the center of the forest near here. That's where they've been living for two years."

"I appreciate the help, kind sir. I shall be going now." Thor smiled in appreciation and walked out.

He started looking at the forest which was quite big from what he saw from above. He knew it would be a while until he found them so he grabbed some food before he went inside.

Thor walked around the market and grabbed some apples, drinks, meat, and all kinds of food for the Asgardians. Suddenly a person pushed him towards the ground and stood over Thor.

"Are you looking for some Asgardians, boy?" A large man asked with three other men behind him. "Well we hate those Asgardians. And if you looking for them, that means you're one of them!"

"Indeed I am a Asgardian." Thor said standing up. "I'm the mightiest of them all, actually."

"Look at the tough guy, over here." The man laughed and went for a punch at Thor's face.

Thor grabbed his arm and snapped it into two. The man fell to the ground, crying in pain as the other three stood there in shock.

"Aren't you boys going to run off as well?" A woman asked, approaching Thor.

"Valkyrie?" Thor asked and the light revealed her face. Thor walked to Valkyrie and hugged her tightly. "It's been a while since I saw you."

"It's been a while too, Thor." Valkyrie released the hug and looked at him, "So, where have you been?"

"Stayed on Earth for a while to think about things very well. Once I found out we could fix this mess, I decided to come back for my people." Thor started to look around, "Glad to know you picked Vanaheim as the place to stay."

"It wasn't my idea. It was actually Korg's." Valkyrie chuckled, "Here, follow me."

Valkyrie started walking towards the forest and Thor followed. She didn't say a word because she wanted Thor to admire the forest in its beauty. The light reflecting on all the colors of the rainbow which hits you with a wonderful sight. He was amazed by the little things he saw.

They arrived at the camp which had tents and campfires placed all around. Valkyrie grabbed a beer which she left on a tree and raised it.

"Everybody!" Valkyrie shouted which alerted all the Asgardians. They stopped what they were doing and looked at Valkyrie. "I would like to welcome you, the King of Asgard!"

All of the Asgardians broke into a applause as Thor appeared through the trees. He walked into many hugs and greetings from fellow Asgardians.

"Settle down everybody! Settle down!" Thor shouted which quieted everyone. He grabbed a beer bottle and raised it in the air, "I know we have gone through some hard times, especially the last two years."

Everyone in the crowd agreed.

"But we can get through this. Now that I'm here, I shall help all of you. Tomorrow we move to Earth; but tonight we drink, we eat, and we celebrate. To Asgard!"

"To Asgard!" The crowd repeated.

—Avengers Headquarters—

Scott ran inside the living room where Bruce and Rocket were waiting. The trio haven't entered the living room yet.

"So, is it really Clint?" Scott asked.

The door began to open and Bruce looked at him, "We're about to find out."

Steve and Natasha were the first to enter the living room and was followed by Clint, donning a gold and black outfit and a samurai sword.

"You're looking good, Clint." Bruce joked while smiling.

"Just shut your mouth, Bruce." Clint scoffed as he entered.

"He's got a new attitude, Bruce. You might want to stay away from Ronin." Natasha joked.

"I didn't say you could talk about me, Romanoff."

"Put your goddamn hands up!" Rocket said, bringing out his gun. He aimed it at Clint who brought out his sword.

"What the hell, Rocket!" Bruce shouted, moving away from the standoff.

"You killed Wakandans, you bastard!" Rocket charged up his blaster.

"What the hell are you talking about, Rocket? Put the gun down!" Steve said.

"Don't you think that someone who hates the Avengers right now would leak classified information?" Rocket glanced at Steve, "We checked the bodies, Rogers. They were killed from a sword and by a man in a black outfit."

"You're a smart animal, you son of a bitch!" Clint shouted.

"Everybody stop! We are trying to save the universe. If we can't trust each other, then what's the point in trying to save the universe?" Steve said. "You all want something back, right? Then put everything aside. I don't care about what Clint did anymore, even if he killed. I don't know Clint anymore but I need to trust you. You want your family back and I want a friend back."

"Which translates to putting your weapons down." Clint muttered.

Rocket and Clint lowered down their weapons but still looked at each other. A frustrated Clint bursted outside while everyone was still trying to calm down. Bruce and Rocket went back to the lab to continue their work and Scott went to the gym. Steve and Natasha looked at each other.

"A harder team to handle?" Natasha asked.

"Definitely." Steve sighed.
