—A few years after "The Decimation"—

Steve finished watching Fury's pep talk with Loki and he continued to watch the camera with a menacing look.

"He really grows on you, huh?" Bruce chuckled.

Steve looked ahead, "Loki's going to drag this out. So, Thor, what's his play?"

Thor was standing still, arms crossed, "He has an army called the Chitauri. Unknown to Asgard and any world unknown." Thor looked at the three near the table. "He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the Earth in return, I suspect the tesseract."

"An army from outer space. So he's building another portal." Bruce played with his glasses, "That's why he needs Erik Selvig."

"Selvig?" Thor asked which made Bruce look at his direction.

"He's an astrophysicist." Bruce answered.

"He's a friend."

"Loki has him under some kind of spell— same as one of ours." Natasha grunted.

"I want to know why Loki let us take him." Steve looked at Natasha, "He's not leading an army from here."

"I don't think we should be focusing on Loki. That guy's brain is a bag full of cats. I could smell crazy on him." Bruce said.

"Have care of how you speak to Loki. He's beyond reason but he is of Asgard; and he's my brother." Thor said.

"He killed 80 people in two days." Natasha added.

"He's adopted."

Meanwhile, in the ventilation unit, the group of travellers were listening from above. They used Scott's ants to travel to the Helicarrier before it went to camouflage mode. The five of them were coming up with a plan. Once, Tony went into the conversation, they stopped listening.

"So, Stark and Banner are going to the lab to examine the tesseract." Steve told the group, "Our goal is to get Loki. Understand?"

"We got it." Natasha said, grabbing her batons, "C'mon, let's go, Banner."

"Looks like I'm going with her, I guess." Bruce started following Natasha.

"What's the plan, Cap?" Scott asked.

"Follow me. Thor, you stay here and keep on listening on what their saying. Give us intel if anyone of them are moving. If everything goes to shit, you get out of here and help. Got it?" Steve commanded.

"Will do, Rogers. Good luck." Thor said, as Steve and Scott moved towards the hangar.

Steve and Scott carefully moved towards the hangar. There moved in the ventilation systems instead of the hallways. It was lurking of S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers and pilots. One small step could alert all of the Avengers from the past.

When they reached the hangar, there were ships being prepared. Attacker jets were already ready to launch. Pilots were on standby for any emergency attack. Suddenly the alarm went off and the siren reported they should help on the control room.

"Natasha, what the hell is going on?" Steve asked through the earpieces.

"I got some hair dye and Bruce hacked into the system in my room." Natasha reported.

"We'll keep on doing whatever your doing because the hangar is free. Just keep them there longer."

"I'll try."

Steve and Scott proceeded to search ship from ship, which had enough space to hold all of them. Someone woke up from one of their ships and walked outside. Steve grabbed him out of the ship and knocked his head on a crate.

"Did you mean to hurt him?" Scott asked.

"Just find a ship, Scott."

"Alright." Scott whispered, moving towards the other direction.

Steve couldn't find any suitable jets or aircrafts in the fighter areas. All of them were small and were meant for three people to ride it. He had given up looking on that side and walked towards Scott. Suddenly the hangar door opened and they were both confused. Scott went to check it out and Steve got on the earpiece.

"Bruce, who opened the door?" Steve asked but there was only static signals coming from the other end. "Bruce?!"

"Jet coming in!" Scott shouted and ran away from the door. A jet went in and nailed a landing, almost hitting the wall of the ship. It barely made any noise.

Steve and Scott ran over to the ship and got ready for anyone who was willing to go outside. The ship's door slowly opened and Clint and Tony were standing there.

"How the hell did you travel here?" Steve asked, still holding a defensive stance.

"We used the prototype." Tony annoyingly answered, "And what happened to sticking to the plan?"

"You weren't there so we replaced you with Scott." Steve said. "And besides, you don't have a suit."

"Bruce doesn't have either so why are we even having this conversation?" Tony argued.

"Rogers, you have pilots moving back to the hangar." Thor said in Scott and Steve's earpieces.

"Follow me." Steve said, slowly walking towards the ventilation door they used. They walked towards where Thor was.

"So both of you decided to grow balls?" Thor asked.

"And when did you grow the balls to make jokes and yes, we're here." Tony scoffed, "Where is Banner?"

"He's in the battery room with Natasha." Thor said.

"C'mon Barton, switch with Banner. I need him here." Tony said.

"You better start working on a plan." Clint rolled his eyes as he walked towards the battery room.

"Alright, do we have a small plan?" Tony asked.

"Yeah, we do." Steve said, removing his helmet for a moment. "We grab Loki from the containment unit before his army attacks the Helicarrier. We use one of the ships to get out of here and find a safe place to interrogate him. Once we're done, we go to the location where all six infinity stones were the closest to each other after the Big Bang. We melt them and put them into one single stone. We clear?"

"You have to run me through that one more time." Tony said, leaning on the rails.

—Present—

Hundreds of Chitauri soldiers were riding on each worm that entered the atmosphere. Carol was making quick work of the worms now, crashing through each individual with ease. The worms that did manage to reach New York, shipped out hundreds and hundreds of Chitauri soldiers who clung onto the buildings and started looking for the Avengers who were on the ground.

Rhodey landed on a roof where there were many of them and started to shoot along with his cannon on his shoulder. Bullets were pouring onto the Chitauri who could barely get a shot off. Rhodey had managed to take out a squad and flew once again.

"Carol, I got a group of them on the West. How are you holding up?" Rhodey asked.

"I can manage." Carol responded, taking another worm out with a photon blast. "I count five worms on your level. Might as well take it out."

Rhodey flew directly towards a worm and shot a laser beam through its mouth. Before he entered the worm's mouth, he swerved left and shot a dozen missiles to its skin. The worm's armour broke and that's when Rhodey shot a three missiles into its body. The worm went down along with its soldiers.

"I got one! Four more to go!" Rhodey shouted and flew towards the two worms that were flying close to each other.

He flew over the worm who was on top and unloaded three dozen missiles onto it. The armour completely fell off and it's remains fell onto the worm below it. Rhodey threw a devastating blow that drove the worm to go downwards and crash onto the other worm. The two worms collided and crashed onto the streets.

"Another two down. I got two more, Carol!" Rhodey said in excitement.

"Just keep on attacking. There are less worms coming in." Carol said, throwing a worm towards another one.

"Alright! I'm on it!" Rhodey flew backwards towards the south part of New York where the two worms were roaming around.

Rhodey saw a worm flying directly towards him. He shot the building beside the worm and the debris hit it. All the pain blindsided it and it took a sharp left, colliding with the other worm and causing a crash site on the street.

"That's all of them!" Rhodey shouted.

"The portals closed." Carol said, hovering in the sky.

Under a highway, Nebula and Rocket emerged wandering what had happened. They have heard the conversation of Carol and Rhodey through the earpiece but they wandered why the portals closed. Rocket, who was wearing goggles on his forehead after working on some "tech".

"Is that all Thanos got?" Rocket asked, looking at the sky with smoke coming from different sides of New York.

"My father was never like that." Nebula answered.

"Then how was he?"

"If his attack from one angle didn't work, he'd attack from all angles."

"And look who has the Space stone." Rocket sighed as he could feel the battle in him already.
