Personality

As the world's first and greatest superhero, Steve Rogers has been defined by his courage, patriotism, and righteousness. Steve has always had a noble and honest spirit, intolerant towards injustice and abuses of power. Since he grew up weak and small, he learned on his own that true strength is having the courage to fight against abuse, no matter one's power, and having compassion for the innocent.

Despite being transformed into a perfect human and gaining superhuman powers from the Super Soldier Serum, he maintained his original values and character, which Dr. Erskine presumed was the main reason why the serum worked flawlessly on Steve due to the serum's effectiveness dependent on the person's mindset.

Since his reawakening, Rogers was saddened by losing so much of his time and so many loved ones and people he knew were gone, but still retains the same values he had since the second World War. While Steve struggled to adapt the new times, he has shown to be enjoying the new world as well while valuing the old. This also makes him wisest of most heroes, becoming a mentor-like figure to most younger heroes and offering them advices to help them out. Now knowing that the world needs Captain America to defend the people and become the symbol of hope again, he fights for the future generations to come.

Due to his famed past exploits and his continued works to save the world, Rogers is generally respected by many heroes and even some villains as well; even if he never sought acknowledgment for his deeds. He was also very empathetic, as he is able to understand and relate to those who were misguided and disillusioned and tries to help them out in any way he can. This said humanity and morality makes him the most noble of out of his teammates, while also being the heart and soul amongst other heroes.

Another one of his most notable trait is his unbreakable resolve and determination, making him the strongest human of all due to his sheer willpower. Even against those who are stronger than him or possessing tremendous powers, such as that of Ultron or Thanos, Steve refuses to give up in a fight to protect others, which makes him an ideal hero and a warrior.

Biography

Born to an impoverished family on Brooklyn in the 1920s, Steven Rogers was a frail and infirm since youth. Despite his health conditions, Steve wished to join the U.S. Army to fight in the Second World War, but is rejected after being physically unfit for the military service.

However, his resolve, courage, and determination is noticed by Doctor Abraham Erskine, who was part of a super soldier program known as Project Rebirth. After voluntarily subjecting himself to the experiment, involving being injected with the Super Soldier Serum and being exposed to Vita Radiation, Steve successfully underwent the transformation, his body now enhanced beyond that of a normal human's capacity.

After stopping a Nazi spy who murdered the doctor and destroyed most of the serum, Steve is given a patriotic uniform and a shield made out of Vibranium, becoming the superhero Captain America.

For the next three years in the war, he went numerous operations accompanied by his childhood best friend, James "Bucky" Barnes, defeating many of the Nazi army while also battling the Red Skull, the leader of Hydra, the Nazi regime's science division.

In the final days of the war, Captain America and Bucky's final mission came to a conclusion when they tried to stop the Red Skull from sending an experimental drone plane containing a prototype atomic bomb that was targeting the US. Both seemingly perished when they managed to stop the plane, but fell into the northern Atlantic Ocean. The news of Captain America's heroic sacrifice was spread to everyone, and all the Americans would idolize and praise his legacy.

But Captain America was not dead. In reality, the Super Soldier Serum had allowed him to survive froze in a block of ice, in a state of suspended animation. He was found decades later by the superhero team the Avengers along with S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. Reawakened in modern times, Steve resumed his activities as a costumed hero, joining and later becoming the leader of the Avengers, while also undertaking many missions for S.H.I.E.L.D. and for other superheroes and battling many villains that threatened the world, including his old enemy Red Skull who was also revived in the modern times.

Powers

Enhanced Human Physiology: Due to being injected with the Super Soldier Serum and exposed to the Vita Radiation, Steve's originally scrawny and frail body has been enhanced to the point he has become the peak of human physical perfection. Combined with his expert tactician and mastery in various hand-to-hand combat, this gives him tremendous advantage in physical combat.

Enhanced Strength: Captain America is superhumanly strong, capable of defeating those who are even physically stronger than him.

Enhanced Speed: Captain America's speed, agility, and reflexes has been enhanced, as he is able to run faster than the speeding bullet.

Enhanced Durability: Captain America's endurance has been enhanced to the point he is able to take many punishments yet able to still stand.

Enhanced Healing: While he isn't able to heal like other superhuman beings, Captain America is able to heal faster than normal humans.

Enhanced Senses: Captain America's senses are enhanced to the point his all five senses are superhuman level, has incredible reaction time, and has photographic memory.
