No More Tricks (Aftermath Part 2)
More sad, sorry guys.

After Infinity War
Loki
I watch the battle around me. I feel guilty because it is partly my fault. I attracted Thanos to Earth, I gave him the Infinity stone and now, the whole world is practically destroyed because of it. I now know that I need my brother more than anything, and I am so glad that I finally realized my true destiny. To save the universe.
I see Thor smash the enemy with his new weapon, Stormbreaker. I can only hope that he will be able to finish the job. I am fighting blindly, creating doubles of myself left and right while I watch the battle from a distance.
I watch Thor's back, having my doubles cover his blind spots. Suddenly, an axe comes flying towards my head, I dodge it, but my illusions flicker, and I know that the monsters all saw it. They begin to plow through my illusions, which burst into dust at instant contact. I try to throw a force field up behind Thor, a green magical one, whilst making my way down towards the battle. What are the Avengers doing? Can't they see that he is about to be completely surrounded?
Suddenly, my force field shatters and I try to put it back up, but the monsters are already too close to Thor. I am sprinting now, I don't put up any magical defense, I just pray to Freya that I will have a clear path to Thor. I can't think, for once, I wasn't a step ahead. Thor looks up, and sees me sprinting. He slams his axe into the ground, but it only throws a few monsters away.
Man, I need to exercise more.
I feel so slow, but then I am at the edge of the monsters, and blowing them to dust. Finally, I am so close to Thor, that I can see the blue in his murky eyes.
I blink, and blood is everywhere.
I see the beast that just slit my brother's throat finish the job. The rest of the army pouces on him, but I just stand there. What have I done? No. No. NO. NO.
"NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!" I yell audibly. I am sure the Avengers have sensed or heard my distress. A blast of pure green energy bursts from my chest, disintegrating enemies all around me. I can taste the salt from my tears as I watch as if in slow motion as the monsters disappear. I slowly step towards my brother, hoping that my magic will somehow wake him up, but he doesn't stir. My magic dies down, and retracts into the slithering beast within me. I stare at him, and then the realization hits me. This must be how Thor felt every time I "died". But this is different. There are no more tricks up my sleeve. No more magical reappearances. This is the end. Thor is dead.
Hope you enjoyed!!
Love,
Leah
