(MAX'S POV)

I was walking to deliver some papers when I noticed Jake Sully talking to Miles Quaritch and Parker Selfridge. I could not believe what I was hearing. Was Jake really working behind our backs for the RDA? I have to go tell Grace and the others about this. We can't allow them to ruin our plans.

-A while later-

(JAKE'S POV)

I was wheeling myself into a room when I noticed everyone was packing up their stuff. I wheeled over to Grace.

"Grace what's going on?"

"We're moving. I'm not about to let Selfridge and Quaritch micromanage my whole operation. There's a link unit near the mountains."

"The Hallelujah mountains."

Norm got excited, but I got confused. Did Grace somehow figure out I was working with Quaritch.

- A little while later-

Me, Norm, Grace, Anna and Trudy were packing our stuff into the plan and making sure our avatars were secured in the plane. I finished buckling Jade in her seat when she smiled.

"Dad, look it's Belle and her mommy."

We all turned around and saw Amanda, Penelope and Xavier were walking towards us. I forgot Penelope and Xavier were coming with us. But I don't know why Amanda and her daughter were coming with us. Grace looked at her little sister and smiled.

"Amanda what are you doing here with Belle?"

"Grace we are coming with you."

"You are?"

"Yes we are Grace. Belle is excited. She's never been anywhere but the base."

I saw how happy Grace was when Amanda said that. I could tell they had a really strong sister bond. We all boarded the plane and started flying to where we would be staying. As we were flying I noticed how Penelope, Xavier and Amanda had formed a protective circle around Anna.

*I wonder what that's all about?*

(XAVIER'S POV)

As I held Anna's hand in mine to show her that I would protect her I couldn't help but feel my anger start to rise. When Amanda and Penelope told me what happened to her and who did it let's just say they had to tie me to a chair twice. I wanted to kill Wainfleet and I wanted to painfully murder Parker in the most cruel way possible for allowing it. Wainfleet and Parker are the reason men have such a bad reputation. I couldn't imagine my little sister going through that kind of terrible experience. I'm happy she found herself a good man. Norm is a good man and I already gave him my blessing in case they decided to take their relationship to the next level. I took it upon myself to show Anna that not every man who isn't her brother wanted to hurt her. Luckily it worked out. But Anna was still weary of talking to strange people she didn't know. What happened to Anna awakened something in Amanda. Something that would result in deadly consequences if messed with. Amanda told me and Penelope a plan. The first part was to go with everyone to the link in the hallelujah mountains for a month. Amanda's husband and my girlfriend can't stand not seeing us for one day. We told them that Parker gave us permission to go. I could tell Miles Quaritch wanted to kill Parker Selfridge right then and there for giving Amanda and Belle permission to leave. I could tell right away that my girlfriend was already planning how to help with murdering Parker. Amanda's husband mentally has to see his wife and daughter daily and it's going to torture him not seeing his favorite two girls. The second part is to build a safe room for Anna if things 'escalated'.

Soon we landed where we would be staying for a month (specifically where Amanda and Belle would be staying for a month). When all of our stuff was packed away and our avatars were safe I sat next to Penelope and Amanda while everyone else fell asleep. I saw Amanda smile as she saw  Belle cuddling with Jade on the couch asleep.

(PENELOPE'S POV)

As soon as everyone was fast asleep we began our conversation.

"Amanda are you sure this is going to work?"

"Yes I do Penelope. Parker is going to have to learn to sleep with both eyes open for the next month."

"I can't believe he allowed Wainfleet to do this. Anna hasn't even told her brother yet. Why did this have to happen?"

"Because Anna has a kind and loving soul. And the evil world we live in feeds off of people like Anna Sully. We are a pride of lions. Lions who work together to protect each other. Xavier and Penelope we have to protect Anna until she is ready to tell her brother."

I looked at my friends. I looked at Xavier and smiled. I began to yawn and walked towards my bed. Before I closed my eyes I saw all three of my friends asleep. I closed my eyes and hoped that sweet dreams would follow.

-SOMEWHERE BACK AT THE BASE-

(NO ONE'S POV)

Parker Selfridge was sitting in his bathroom with the door shut tightly with all sorts of locks. Before he barricaded himself in his bathroom he made sure to barricade his bedroom door.

"Parker come out right now. You know what, I am not the one you have to worry about. Z-Dog is the one you have to worry about."

He clenched his fist together as he heard Miles Quaritch talk. Parker hated Amanda Quaritch with a burning passion right now. She had to go and tell her husband he allowed them to go. Parker made a beeline for his office as soon as Xavier and Penelope said they were also leaving.

"I should have listened to you Amanda."

"Parker, Z-Dog said to not sleep tonight."

I shuddered and realized that I really had underestimated Amanda Quaritch.

(AMANDA'S POV)

As I was lying down in my bed I started to fidget with my locket. I failed to prevent the r@&$, but I won't fail in keeping Anna safe. I will protect her like I couldn't protect Beth.

"Never mess with a lionesses pride."

I then closed my eyes hoping that whatever events happen next would be survivable.
