The night begins to fall on the planet Pandora. The howls of the Viperwolves are heard in the distance, and the nocturnal creatures begin to wake up. Mathias continues to follow the Na'vi female, Neytiri, through the jungle. The young female is flexible and agile, and walks with a rapid pace, as if she did not touch the ground. Mathias still manages to follow her, but he can not prevent himself to look around him in amazement. At night, the plants of Pandora are surrounded by bio-luminescent light. Mathias is impressed by the beauty of nature on this planet. He touches several plants with her hands, and the lights become stronger.

(Neytiri): "Mathias ...... Come with me."

The young avatar stops looking around him and continues to follow Neytiri, but he don't know where she leads him? And if it was a trap to kill him? No, it's stupid. If she wanted to kill him, she would have done. But while Mathias continued to follow her, he can not prevent to ask her questions.

(Mathias): "You say that I am the one you have been waiting for, but why? What does it mean?"

(Neytiri).: "I'll explain you later. Come, we must hurry."

(Mathias): "But to go where?"

Suddenly, while he runs to go with Neytiri, a net is fall from the trees and trap Mathias that falls on the ground. The young man struggles to try to remove the net but to no avail. It's a trap! Suddenly, several Na'vi out of their hiding and encircle Mathias. They are armed with bow and arrows, but some also have blades or axes. Then three other Na'vi arrive on strange six-legged horses with antennas. While the Na'vi approach to take Mathias, Neytiri jumped toward them from a tree and grows a little angry growl to them. 

(Neytiri):"Mawey, Na'vi! Mawey!"

But one of the riders, in the middle, down from his horse with a dark and disturbing look. He seems to be a very strong and experienced warrior. He wears warrior armors and has long hair in a ponytail that runs down her back. Mathias is not reassured, but Neytiri seems to know this Na'vi, and walks towards him without fear.

(Neytiri): "Tsu'Tey, What are you doing?"

(Tsu'Tey): "And you? You know the orders. These infernal creatures are prohibited here."

(Neytiri): "This one is different. It's been something important. We need to consult the Tsahik."

Mathias does not understand what is happening. Who is the Tsahik? The orders? What will they do with him? So many questions unanswered. Tsu'Tey decides to spare Mathias but takes with him, to the Na'vi clan camp. When Tsu'Tey mounts his horse, Mathias finds that the Na'vi connects his hair mat to the antenna of the animal, such as a strange link. The Na'vi remove the net and take the avatar with them without hurting him. A Na'vi warrior puts his dagger behind the neck of Mathias to make him move, that the young man did, and not say anything. Neytiri walking before without saying a word, but she seems to know what she does. Mathias looks at her more and more, because this is the second time she saves his life. The group walks on a wood and sanded around him, Mathias begins to notice strange totem poles or trees labeled with symbols. So the village is not far. A few minutes later, they arrive at a large fortress, hidden by stone walls and overlooking the jungle. On the ramparts of stone, warriors Na'vi monitor the surroundings. The ramparts have spikes as a defense. The gates of the fortress open and the group gets inside. Mathias looks around while continuing to move forward. Inside the fortress, a whole village populated with Na'vi. The indigenous gather to watch Mathias, with curiosity. A Na'vi child wants to approach the avatar to touch him, but his mother prevents him and looks Mathias with fear. The young man wondered why the Na'vi hate humans at this point. The Na'vi take Mathias in front of a huge tribal altar decorated with the skull of a Great Leonopteryx, a giant flying creature of Pandora. Before the altar, Tsu'Tey advances and is ready to talk.

(Tsu'Tey):"Na'vi! Tìng mikyun! Your queen will talk to you."

Neytiri up on the altar and turns to the Na'vi people. So she is the queen of the clan. Mathias is even more impressed by the young female Na'vi. Neytiri raises her bow and looks at Mathias in the eyes without saying anything, then she turns to his people.

(Neytiri): "As you can see, a warrior of the sky people is here. I understand your fear for him, but this one is different. I was going to kill him, but Eywa sent me a sign. This tawtute is the one that we wait for a long time."

The Na'vi begin to talk to each other, but most remain wary to Mathias, some even say he must be killed immediately. Neytiri approaches to Mathias, but another voice is heard.

(Mo'at): "Wait! I'll examine this stranger."

(Mathias): "Who is this?"

(Neytiri): "Mo'at, my mother. She is Tsahik. And she may interpret the will of Eywa."

(Mathias): "Eywa? Who is this?"

But Neytiri does not answer, and the older female Na'vi, which seems to be the shaman, begins to turn slowly around and watch Mathias from top to bottom, and then she comes in front of him.

(Mo'at): "What is your name, stranger?"

(Mathias): "Mathias."

(Mo'at): "My daughter Neytiri thinks you're different from other humans. I trust her, but you, can we trust you. Are you really different from the others of your race?"

(Mathias): "Well, I don't know. I just know that my people are at war with you, but I do not know why."

Mo'at looking into his eyes for a few seconds, and guess he told the truth. Neytiri also advance to Mathias to talk him.

(Neytiri): "I know what I saw, mother. Mathias is different. There was a sign of Eywa, while I was about to kill him. I feel it is the one we expect.... Mathias, you have to stay with us. "

(Mathias): "I ..... I don't know. All that happening is really weird for me." 

But in truth, Mathias knows he has a better chance to survive here tonight, than to sleep in the jungle, with all the predators that lurk there. So the young avatar has no choice and must remain with the Na'vi, even if he does not know what they will prepare for him.

(Mathias): "Okay.....I......I stay here."

(Neytiri): "I will teach you our ways and our culture, Mathias. With me, you will become a true Na'vi."

(Tsu'Tey): "He will never be a Na'vi! Those of the sky people are all the same! We can not be trusted."

(Mo'at): "Nitam, Tsu'Tey. It's decided. My daughter will teach our culture to this young tawtute, and we will see if he is really different from others of his race."

Mathias is reassured that the Na'vi will not hurt him, and he feels quite happy to be "integrated" into the tribe. Mathias had heard of the Na'vi when he was on earth, but he did not expect to meet them one day. But the warrior Tsu'Tey looks at Mathias with an evil eye and goes. Mathias also feels reassured that Neytiri is the queen, otherwise Tsu'Tey would have killed him without hesitation. This warrior looks really hate humans. A little later, to really look like a Na'vi, Mathias has throwing his clothes of avatar, and Neytiri give him a panty in animal skin. It's more comfortable, and it does not scratch. Mathias noted that the warriors wear armor, but Mathias is a novice at the moment, so he has not the rank of a true warrior. After he put the panty in animal skin, he goes outside and walks towards Neytiri waiting for him.

(Neytiri): "Good. You look more like a Na'vi like that. Now, come with me."

Mathias said nothing and follows her. They start to walk in a large spiral wooden staircase to get to the center of the fortress. As he walks, Mathias looks Neytiri from time to time, and he even smiled her once, but the young queen Na’vi does not want to pay attention. They come in a large round room or all the Na'vi clan is gathered around a big fire. The Na'vi are all sitting in a circle around the fire and are eating in wooden plates. So it's dinner time. When Mathias enters the room, a silence settles and all the Na'vi looks at him. Mathias feels a little uncomfortable but tries to stay natural and follows Neytiri to find a place. He walks among the Na'vi, while being careful not to step on their tail. This is not the time to annoy them. Mathias sits next to Neytiri and a Na'vi gives him a plate with food. The young avatar thanks the Na'vi with a nod. No cutlery, so they probably eat with their fingers. On the menu tonight: Hexapod's meat, a creature of Pandora that looks like a antelope, and is one of the favorite prey of the Na'vi. Mathias has never eaten alien meat, but if he wants to be incorporated into the tribe, he should not be difficult. He eats one end, and finally, it is not bad, it's even pretty good. Neytiri eat beside him, and she has a small smile on her face when she sees Mathias seems to enjoy the food of the Na'vi. By the corner of his eye, Mathias noted that Neytiri looks at him, and when he turns his head towards her, the young queen Na'vi acted as if nothing had happened and continued to eat, as if she wanted to not show she watched him. From his place, Tsu'Tey observed the scene, and he does not like that at all.

Later, Mathias follows Neytiri to another area of the fortress. A little shy, Mathias wants to say something nice to the Na'vi queen.

(Mathias): "The meal was very good."

(Neytiri): "Thank you."

This is what he found better to say for the moment. Now the tribe will go to sleep. The Na'vi sleep in hammocks suspended by ropes. Each Na'vi has his hammock. Another was added for Mathias, and curiously, it is next to that of Neytiri. The young queen settles into her hammock, and Mathias did the same. The young man turns to Neytiri, and smiled.

(Mathias): "Well, good night."

Neytiri said nothing but slowly nods to respond. With her hand, she pulls on one side of the hammock, and it closes like a cocoon, like magic. Mathias decides to do the same, and when his hammock is closed, he closes his eyes and falls asleep softly.
