After the death of Falco, what was left of the army of the RDA retreated and returned to their base. But despite this important victory, Mathias knew it was only the beginning. Other humans would come. A battle had been won, but surely a new war had just started at the same time. The dead were buried, the wounded were taken over by the healers of the clans. Seze, the Ikran of Neytiri was healed by a healer and Mathias was pleased that his Leonopteryx had also survived at the battle. He stroked the muzzle of the enormous creature who groaned with pleasure. For injured humans, the Na'vi were not cruel. Respecting the life forms, they decided to let them live, provided they return to their world, never to return. A medical unit of the RDA was sent there, unarmed, to retrieve the wounded. Mathias, Neytiri and some Na'vi guards were there to watch the medical shuttle carried the wounded soldiers back to their base. Among the medical squad, Grace Augustine had come herself, to finally meet Mathias and Neytiri. She came towards them, proud of what the young avatar did.

He looks to the sky with a smile, knowing that the spirit of Nora is now up there, protected by the goddess Eywa. Mathias takes Neytiri's hand and she talks to Grace Augustine.

Two weeks after the battle, something very important happened, that would change two lives forever. Mathias took his courage and overcame his shyness to make the biggest decision of his life: he asked Neytiri in marriage. Neytiri has immediately said "yes", and even shed tears of joy, as if waiting for this moment for a long time. Mathias was the happiest in the world. During his adolescence and his life on earth, he had always been shy, ill at ease, and had never had a girlfriend, and he thought never to marry one day. He thought that finally, leaving the earth was the best decision he has made in his life.

The news of the marriage of Mathias and Neytiri spreads fast and the whole clan was delighted for them, even Tsu'Tey, who had difficulty to accepting Mathias on his arrival in the tribe.

The big day has finally arrived. But with the sacred willows destroyed, the wedding is going to take place in the sacred cave at the foot of the ancestral willow. Whole clan met for the ceremony and waits patiently. As Tsahik, it's Mo'at that will unite the couple, by a true Na'vi marriage. Torches are lit in a circle around the cave and the ancestral willow begin to shine. The walls and floor of the cave also shine, and the sacred seeds floating around. Several Na'vi bang on drums, and another blows in a bone flute, playing a gentle and beautiful tribal melody. Mathias is already at the foot of the willow with Mo'at. He is very nervous and felt his heart beat. This is the most important moment in his life. For the ceremony, Mathias carries several tribal ornaments and symbols painted on the body. Then Neytiri finally enters the cave and slowly walks towards the willow, to Mathias. Entire clan turns to her in silence. Mathias was the beating heart by seeing her and smiled. Neytiri has no wedding dress, as with humans weddings. Neytiri carries tribal jewelry, several cloths of silks around the waist. Around her neck, a pendant decorated with a small opal. She wears a little tribal tiara on the forehead. She is really beautiful. Neytiri arrives to Mathias, with a big smile, and the couple holds by the hands before turning to Mo'at, which begins the ceremony.

(Mo'at): "Mother of life, hear my words. The blood of our people sank, but today we bury this past to celebrate the union of two young loving souls. Mother of light, hear our prayers and bless this day."

The Na'vi are beginning to speak a kind of incantation in Na'vi language, raising their hands to the sky. Mathias and Neytiri are silent but confident and happy. At the request of Mo'at and as tradition dictates, Mathias and Neytiri connect their braids, one to another, and feel the power of their love spreading in their bodies at the same time. The sacred seeds arrive by floating around the couple and several landed on the body of Mathias and then the body of Neytiri. This is a sign of the blessing of Eywa.

The Na'vi keep to bless Eywa and the couple, while the seeds end their role and go away in the air. Then, as Mathias has learned, he began the first to speak.

The Leonopteryx pushes a mighty roar that echoes in the sky and flies with the married couple on the back, to the cheers of the Omaticaya clan, and under the light of Eywa. Mathias and Neytiri fly to their nuptial flight towards the mountains and the sunset.

Later, as night fell, Mathias and Neytiri have found a little, isolated and beautiful place to live their honeymoon. They are at the edge of a small lake with a waterfall and surrounded by trees and willows. The night, plants shine again multiple bio-luminescent colors, and even the water of the lake seems to shine. The Leonopteryx is lying under the trees and sleeps a little. Mathias and Neytiri are lying side by side in the grass by the lake and watch the night sky, holding by the hand. (Neytiri): "This night is wonderful I wish it would never end."

(Mathias): "It's like if I lived a dream, and if that's the case, I never want to wake up."

Neytiri has a chuckle, not mocking, but amused. She stays lying while Mathias leans over her and they look with love.

(Mathias): "I love you Neytiri."

(Neytiri): "I know I too.."

Mathias and Neytiri kiss again, tenderly and passionately, under the moonlight and the light of the willows. Mathias had left the earth to change his life and he never imagined how it would change. But it allowed him to find a new world in which to live, and most importantly, to meet the love of his life.
