"You know what Mako!! I'm done!" Bolin wiped his flooding tears and stormed out the apartment door, "I don't need you. I got Pabu! " Pabu was in the corner, chewing on something. Bolin ran to him, tears still streaming down his face, but Pabu screeched and ran the other way.

"Not you too!! "

And so Bolin's tears continued, as he turned the corner and ran down the stairs out into the street.

He didn't know where he was going but he ran. People barreled out of the way when they saw him. His fangirls were mercilessly pushed out of the way too.

"Mako's an idiot. " He wiped away the mucus with the sleeve of his shirt and seemed to calm down a bit.

"But Pabu!"  And the tears came back just as quick.

He slowed his pace to walking, head down frowning at the earth. While his face was clogged up with mucus and tears, he felt his feet squish something, soft, he looked at his feet to notice a small shrub.

He finally looked up to see the scene before him. It was as he would put it if he weren't crying five seconds ago, "Magnificent!! "

He had unknowingly walked right into the spirit world. Wasn't his first time here. But was his first time here on his own.

He even saw one spirit spitting out gold, but decided he didn't need more gold in his life. He frowned and trudged ahead, watching the spirits with as much as a straight face.

During this time, he swore he would never talk to Mako again. He grabbed a stick, grinded his teeth and walked ahead, swatting vines and spirit bugs. Grumbling at spirits and thin air.

He didn't even realize that he had just walked into a cave.

"Just because he's a fire bender he thinks he's so hot! "

"Fire benders are over rated. "

Bolin rolled his eyes and spat. "Yeah they are."

"Then what are you?"

"I'm an earth bender, the strong and brave kind. " He flexed slightly.

"Yes I've known earthbenders to be very strong people. "

Bolin felt the smirk growing on his face. But it soon ceased when he thought of Pabu.

"Man you know what, I'm gonna move in. " He slouched against the hard rock.

"Why I'd love that! "

"Finally someone who appreciates my presence! " He closed his eyes and put his hands behind his head. Bolin could've sworn he heard scurrying sounds.

"Oh yes, I've never had a roommate. "

"Well you wouldn't like Mako as your roommate, not at all. "

"Tell me what is this Mako like? "

"He's pretty possessive, he smells like charcoal, he's a hot head, ladies man, he has had a considerably good number of girl friends including the avatar–"

"The avatar?!"

"He thinks he's such an amazing brother, when in fact he'd rather go on a date then watch my pro bending game. " That's when Bolin frowned and huffed.

The spirit crawled down the walls and met eye to eye with Bolin, whose face was neutral.

"Whoa you're a pretty cool spirit, " Bolin said only raising his brows.

The spirit felt proud of that. It had been at least a 5 thousand years since someone had complimented him. And that was right before he stole his greasy face.

"I am arent I? see..." It's face changes from a man to a women's to a monkey's.

"Yeah, you're cool. " Bolin said.

And that's how Bolin ended up having tea with Koh the Face Stealer while talking about their attributes which they pride themselves on.

At the end of the day, Bolin finally realized Mako loved him, and that he'd made a new friend.

He fist bumped with Koh and tracked back to the human world.
