1. For whatever reason (maybe you're being chased, maybe you're just travelling, etc) you need to cross a river. Just as you're trying to work out how to do it, you notice a girl nearby practicing her waterbending and suddenly realise how you can get across safely

2. You've wandered into a Fire Nation village and a kind old woman named Hama has offered you a room in her inn, claiming she's worried about you being out alone in the forest when the full moon is so close. A young girl named Sykari is also staying in the inn and she and Hama seem to get along quite well. You catch Hama taking Sykari out for a 'walk' during the full moon and, growing worried for their safety, you decide to follow them (or if you're a waterbender you've been invited along for a 'special lesson')

3. You've been travelling with Zuko and Iroh on their quest to capture the Avatar. You either meet Sykari on the ship in the three years between Zuko's exile and the journey to discover Aang in the South Pole or you meet her when she bumps into the group on her travels around the Earth Kingdom

4. You've just arrived at the Jasmine Dragon and it's completely filled with patrons. It seems Lee and Mushi have some extra help, because a young girl is the one taking your order

5. Despite being a waterbender, you never had the chance to learn how to use your abilities. So when you discover another waterbender, you see your chance to finally learn real waterbending

6. You're very sick or have been badly injured. A young waterbender finds you and begins to heal you (can be reversed if you're a waterbender or want to add a waterbender side character)

7. Any other scenario you'd like
