Chapter Twelve
*still Zuko's POV*
I snapped into consciousness to the sound of wind and the feeling of hard ground under me. what had happened? Where was I? I remember looking for Elizabeth... Calling for her in the field... Feeling strange, then getting everyone over to me... And then I blacked out.
My eyes wandered to the other unconscious figures that were sprawled out on the ground. We were on a cliff, and the wind was strong. I looked over to a person standing on the very edge, a girl looking out. She had black hair that went down to her waist and that was blowing around in the wind.
"Hey, guys," I called to the group, crawling over to them. "Guys, wake up. Come on." I shook everyone one by one.
"They should be up in a little while." A pleasant, gentle feminine voice spoke out from behind me, and I turned around to see a teenage girl standing over me. She was wearing a knee- length skirt and tank top that was cut high so you could see her pale stomach. She went down on her knees beside me, and gazed at the group with dark violet eyes, deep in thought.
"Who are you?" I asked, scooting away a bit from the girl. Her eyes flickered back over to me, and she sighed.
"My name is.... Armelle. Actually, my real name is Gamma, but I can't be called that anymore."
"I'm-"
"Zuko. You are Zuko, I know. I know all about your group. I have been watching over you all, including your friend Elizabeth."
I jumped up. "Elizabeth! What have you done with her? Where is she?"
The girl shook her head sadly. "It is a very long story, one that I will tell to you and your friends when they wake up."
A little while later, everyone was awake. We were sitting on the ground in a group with Armelle sitting in front of us. We were watching her, waiting for her to begin her story while she looked like she was wondering where she should begin.
"Um, okay. Please be quiet until I finish my story. My name is Gamma, which I won't go by anymore. You can call me Armelle. I have been part of an evil plan, to which I have abandoned and collected you all here to help me destroy. I am a Dimensionbender. I can transport people and things and open portals between realms. I am the youngest sibling of a family who is 'helping' the Fire Nation do something very wicked. I have two older brothers, Alpha and Beta. Alpha is a Mindbender, and can control and read people's minds. Beta is a Timebender, being able to make people visit different times and who can even change time, but that takes a lot of power. Anyway, all of our powers together could take over all the realms of the universe, of all the universes. So my brothers hatched a plan to find a power-seeking group in one of the realms and 'help' them take over more than one world. The plan is to have the Fire Nation succeed in taking over Earth and their world, and my brothers and I would come in and 'save' the people from the Fire Nation. We would rise up as kings and queen with the people voluntarily loving us." She finished her story with all of us almost gaping at her.
"So...." Aang spoke, "The Fire Nation.... it's just... all part of a bigger picture?" Armelle nodded solemnly. Aang was looking almost overwhelmed at the story, which was very understandable. Defeating the Fire Lord wouldn't bring peace to the world!
"But, wait. Why did we and Elizabeth get switched around between worlds? Why would you guys do that?" Katara aked.
"Well," Armelle switched her gaze over to the girl."Lessons. I'm still learning in my bending, and I needed some practice. I took a random girl from your world and transported her to yours. I messed up, though. I accidentally made her go where she would usually be back into her world... Which wouldn't have been such a problem for her, but in her world she was dead. Apparently she had a grave in a graveyard, but there was no body or coffin, so she woke up six feet under the ground, literally. I don't know how she survived," she was gazing at the sky thoughtfully. "And with your group, that was Beta and I practicing combining our powers. Messing with time and realms."
"How do you know everything about her? And us?" I asked. This girl seemed sort of stalker-ish towards her victims, if you would call us that.
"Well, unlike my brothers, I actually pay attention to the little details of people's lives. My older brothers are just..." She shook her head. "They are selfish and full of themselves, not ever thinking about the actual people who have feelings and lives that they want complete power over. When I slipped up and accidentally sent Elizabeth back, they didn't care about her. They didn't know anything at all about her and her life! They were confused at me for being miserable after I thought I killed her. They just want power. I've seen how they don't care, I've seen their selfishness. They are my blood and family, and I love them, but what they are doing, what they are going to do, is wrong, so wrong. So who else the most suited person to try and stop them? Me," She sighed, slumping over. We sat in silence for a few minutes, as silent tears came down her cheeks. Eventually, she sat up, looking at us desperately. "Aang, Katara, Zuko, Toph, Sokka.... I need your help to stop my brothers' plan. It'll be hard, but I can't do this alone. And the Avatar is destined to bring peace to the world, so why not go wider than that, why not try to stop the plan behind the plan."
Aang paused for a moment, then answered. "Yes. I know I want to help. Guys?" He looked at us one by one, asking for our permission.
Katara nodded. "I think it's the right thing to do."
"Let's do this," Toph said, putting her fists together.
"Yes, Team Avatar!" Sokka raised his fist in the air dramatically.
Everyone looked at me. "Well, I agree, but under one condition," I turned towards Armelle. "We need to get Elizabeth back, wherever she is. If we can do that, then I'm all for the plan." Armelle nodded with a knowing look in her eyes. Did she see what I felt towards Elizabeth?
Armelle exhaled, then shook her head. "Elizabeth is at the Fire Nation capital. With my brothers. Before I left, I practiced more and brought her back to your world. But my brothers decided to keep her... And practice with her. Use her as a dummy to show off to the Fire Lord. I left after I saw Alpha messing with her mind and her memories. I had seen enough. And so I ran off and looked for you guys to talk to since you were stuck on Earth. And I.... I have absolutely no idea how to get her back, or her memories. I could...." she blinked, then lept up. "That's it! I've got it!"
She didn't give us any time to react, for she held her arms out and started shooting something colorless but blurry on one side of the cliff. She looked very strained and had sweat forming on her.
"What is happening? What's she doing?" I yelled to the group, and they looked as freaked out as I did. The air she was shooting at was turning swirly and blurred, and it formed a circle.
"I have a plaaaaaannn!" Armelle shouted at us, jerked her head in the direction of the circle and ran, jumping into it. "Follow me! It won't last long!" we heard her voice.
"What do we do?" Katara asked.
"I guess we should go!" Aang replied.
The group went to their feet, and Aang and Katara jumping in first, then Sokka with Toph clutching on to him. "For Elizabeth," I whispered, then ran, hopping in after them.

I wanted to do a long-ish chapter for you guys.... But I can't just have this part finished and leave it here to start a new part! I must post it....
I gotta get over that weird thing. I would have to work more than one day to write a longer chapter, and I don't write every day... Or, I would forget or feel overwhelmed. So until I figure out a more convenient thing for me and my brain, there probably won't be very long chapters... I'll work on it! Yeah!
What was I saying? Oh, was this okay? What do you think I should do with the POV's? I feel like I should do someone else's besides Elizabeth and Zuko, but then maybe it would be confusing. Should I try to stick to one person's POV longer? What would be more interesting or organized? Please comment and tell me what you think I should do?
And thank you so much people for reading and voting!
I'm dedicating this to Jacquex3 because I think she voted quite a few times on some of these chapters....
Next chapter I shall dedicate it to someone else(I have someone in mind) who has been voting on this story! :D
So, have a wonderful.... uh, evening/night my Purple Ducks! :D
Goodnight!
