We were riding on Appa somewhere.

Me: Aang, where are we going?

Aang: Home, to the Southern Air Temple. That's where I grew up.

Me: Neat!

Tyler: Wait, why are we going there? Shouldn't you be mastering all the elements.

Aang: I mastered one.

Tyler: You couldn't get any lazier.

Aang: Krisalyn, wait until you meet all my people! They're really nice!

Me: Aang, there may be a few changes at this temple we're going to, y'know, 'cause you've been in that iceberg for a long time.

Aang: I'm sure everyone's fine.

We arrived at a beautiful temple. Aang jumped off of Appa in excitement.

Aang: Everyone! It's me, I'm home!

But, when Aang looked around, there was no one there.

Aang: Where is everyone?

Me and Tyler caught up with him.

Me: Aang?

Aang: I want to show you around.

We went around the temple until we came somewhere strange. There was a statue of what looked liked an airbender.

Tyler: Who's that?

Aang: This is Monk Gyatso, a master airbender, he taught me everything I know now. He was amazing.

Me: Wow.

Tyler: Hey Aang, come look at this.

Me: What is it, Tyler?

I looked down at a helmet, that's when I knew the Fire Nation was there.

Me: Oh no.

Aang: What is it, guys?

I buried the helmet in the snow before Aang got to us.

Me: It's, uh, nothing.

Aang: Uh okay.

Tyler: Why would you just do that? Aang has to see that the Fire Nation was here.

Me: Tyler, if Aang finds out, he'll be devastated.

Tyler: Okay, just know you can't protect him forever.

We went to a room with so many statues, Aang looked at one as though he were hypnotized.

Me: Aang? Aang, snap out of it!

Aang: wh-What? Sorry.

He looked up at the statue again.

Aang: That's Avatar Roku, the Avatar before me.

Me: How do you know?

Aang: I dunno. Guess I just do.

Me: *Gasp!* These are Avatars. Aang, these are all the Avatars before you!

Aang: Really?

A flying lemur suddenly came out of nowhere.

Aang: LEMUR!!!!

Aang started chasing the lemur around.

Me: Aang!

Tyler: Wait up!

We chased after Aang, boy, he sure is swift. It was impossible to catch up to him. When we caught up with him, he was in a tent, in tears.

Tyler: Aang? Is something wrong.

We looked around to see why Aang had a heavy heart, we saw Fire Nation armor and a skeleton of an airbender.

Tyler: Oh no. He found out the Fire Nation was here.

I went to comfort Aang, but out of nowhere, his eyes and tattoos started glowing, I thought it was because he was really unhappy. But air started flowing around him and he was lifted off the ground. It was something I've never seen before!

Me: Aang! I know you're upset, but you've gotta snap out of it. Monk Gyatso and the other Air Nomads may be gone, but, Aang, you still have me and Tyler! We're your family now!

After what I said, Aang seemed to settle down, but his eyes and tattoos were still glowing.

Tyler: Don't worry, Aang. We're not gonna let anything bad happen to you. We promise.

Aang stopped glowing and gave me a hug. He still had tears in his eyes though.

Aang: All the Air Nomads, my people, are gone. I really am the last airbender

The lemur that Aang was chasing showed up. Eventually, we were about to leave.

Aang: You, me, and Appa. We're all that's left of this place, we have to stick together.

Me: That's a cute lemur.

Tyler: What're you gonna call him?

Aang: Hmm...Momo.

When we were leaving, Aang looked back at the air temple. It would never be the same.
