Y/n, Daughter of Eywa

*Italics= Na'vi Language

"Come, Neytiri, Sylwanin." Mo'at, the Tsahik of the Omaticaya Clan and Mother, ushered on her two children, of 3 and 5 years old.

The two, young, blue Na'vi children followed their Mother further into the forests of Pandora, their home. The sister's giggled and played, pushing and tagging each other, watching the enchanting world around them. Inspecting the plant life, the animals, the illuminating moss under their feet. The three walked further and further away from Home Tree, and the sister's began to realize where their mother was taking them.

"Mother?" Neytiri tugged on her mother's cloth that hung around her waist.

"Yes?" Mo'at raised a brow at her, continuing to walk forward.

"Why are we traveling to the Tree of Soul's?" Sylwanin interrupted her younger sister before she could even open her mouth.

Neytiri frowned at her older sister for a moment, before looking back at their mother. Both of their eye's glistening with curiosity.

"I am bringing you both, because as future Tsahik, and princess's of the Omaticaya Clan. You must learn to listen to all around you and take in the word of Eywa. The All Mother had spoken to me and said there would be a need for us here today." She explained simply and kept at her steady pace.

Both girls looked at each other and their little ears twitched as if to listen to the sounds around them. Only hearing the sounds from the water, and creatures of Pandora. The moss glowed under their feet with every step and shortly within site was a large white tree. A willow tree known as, The Tree of Souls. The children marveled at the tree's beauty and followed their mother in to the flowing white vines that hung low from the great tree.

Mo'at, grabbed her braided hair and some of the vines, attaching them together, allowing communications to flow through her body. The children watched her in amazement, but quickly froze as Mo'at let out a gasp.

"What is it?" They both asked and looked around for any sign of danger.

A small, soft sound carried through the air and Mo'at detached herself from the tree, following after it. Neytiri and Sylwanin followed after her, spreading out to search for the source of the noise. Neytiri, heard the sound become louder and it sounded almost as those it were a baby's cry. She traveled around the base of the tree, running her finger's gently along the bark, closing her eyes and listening to the sounds around her. Voices whispered in her ears and a hole within the tree opened, revealing a small blue Na'vi-an Baby.

"Mother! Mother! I found her!" Neytiri called out. She reached in and grabbed the small child and cuddled her close to her own small body.

"Where was she?" Mo'at asked her quickly and Neytiri pointed inside the tree that started to close back up. Mo'at hummed in curiosity and began chanting, letting her eyes close.

"Can I hold her?" Sylwanin asked of her younger sister.

The baby seemed to squirm in her arms anyway and Neytiri frowned, handing the baby over gently. They both looked and admired the child, while waiting for their mother to finish trying to connect with Eywa.

"From the great gods of the sky." Mo'at gasped suddenly and clutched her chest. She reached down towards her children for the small baby, which they quickly handed over. The babe began to make the soft cries again and she shushed her gently. "She is the Daughter of Eywa, brought upon us to care for and love as our own. To teach and protect, and she will lead us all to victory, as stated in the great Prophecy."

"What is her name going to be?" Sylwanin asked quietly.

"Eywa has blessed her with the name, Y/n." Mo'at spoke softly to her children.

"Y/n." Neytiri and Sylwanin chanted proudly of their new sister.

Y/n began to cry out a bit louder, making both children frown at the noise. Their mother smiled down at the child, and lifted the baby to her breast. Eywa blessed her and milk began to flow, comforting and soothing the child as they made their way back to Home Tree.

Y/n was introduced first to Eytukan, Leader and Chief of the Omaticaya Clan. Father to Sylwanin and Neytiri. He was surprised about the news of the child at first, but welcomed her with open arms, instantly loving her as his own. They held a celebration in honor of Y/n, officially pronouncing her Princess of the Omaticaya, Daughter of Eywa, Adopted Daughter of Eytukan and Mo'at, sister to Sylwanin and Neytiri.

Y/n, grew before the eyes of her parents and her people. She was beautiful, with blue skin, the same glowing dots along her face as the others, with a small birthmark that rested on her upper thigh, exposed, due to the cloth she wore covering her bottom half. It was the shape of a seedling from the Tree of Souls, a mark said to be gifted to her by her mother, Eywa. To always remind her of her true roots. It glowed on her skin at night, illuminating like the way Pandora itself does.

She was trained in Princess duties, Tsahik duties, and learned to love and care for the very world around her. She was a bright light in their world, a carefree spirit, loving and so very connected to the world around her. She could feel the spirit of the trees, the hearts of animals, the life in the plants. She was a source and connection to the light of Eywa, that the world around her so desperately began to rely upon. As she grew, she had taken on so many duties and felt overwhelmed with her life, wondering what else was out there. Being the curious spirit she was, she had grown to become a bit rebellious in nature.

At the age of 3, Y/n had become restless, she could feel the uneasiness of life surrounding her. Prompting the Omaticaya Clan to send out search parties along their section of the world of Pandora. She was right to feel so. A massive company called The Resources Development Administration or RDA had come and started to make base on their home planet. Destroying trees, digging up the grounds, creating massive metal buildings. The Omaticaya were very weary of these new people and their weapons, knowing they could be dangerous. They soon began referring to them as Sky People because of the strange machinery they flew around in.

The Omaticaya people had managed to stay away from these new people for nearly 3 years. At 6 years old, the year was 2142, Y/n, watched her Father take the lead from the warriors on another hunting escapade through the jungle. She, along with many of the others of her people always worried about them meeting up with these Sky People and making it home hurt, or possibly not at all. Y/n was supposed to be listening to her mother's teaching's but she stared blankly at the sky, listening to the peaceful sounds around her.

"Y/n!" Mo'at snapped at her youngest daughter. "Your head is in the clouds again, child. You must pay attention if you are to take on your role..."

"As Princess and the next Tsahik for the Omaticaya Clan." Y/n sighed, returning her attention to her mother and sisters. Her Mother frowned at her tone and her sister's snickered at her, until Mo'at gave them a sharp look. "I apologize, Mother." Y/n apologized sincerely.

"Accepted." She nodded and continued her teachings.

Another few hours went by and Y/n felt restless, like there was somewhere she needed to be. When her Mother was called away by another Clan member, Y/n ignored her mother's warning to stay put and followed her instinct. Listening to the voices that called out to her. She left through the bushes and when Neytiri and Sylwanin turned around, noticing their young sister was gone. They looked at one another and decided to follow after her.

The feeling led Y/n to the borders of the Sky People and Omaticaya Clan's lands. She wasn't supposed to be here and she knew it, but she simply couldn't shake the feeling she had. She hid in the bushes and looked around with her wide eyes, searching for anything that might have prompted her here.

"Gah!" Y/n shrieked quickly and quietly, as a hand covered over her mouth. She turned her head and sighed in relief as it was just her sisters. "What are you doing here?" Y/n hissed quietly, pulling them down into the bush alongside her.

"Following you! You're not supposed to be here, if Mother and Father knew about this..." Sylwanin shivered as she looked around cautiously.

"I can't help it. I followed a feeling." Y/n shrugged and continued to look out around her.

"Y/n, sister, the Sky People are bad. We are far to close. Come, let us go home before Mother discovers us gone." Neytiri tried tugging on her young sister's arm, only to be pulled back by the other two.

"I can't explain it, but I was told to come here. We have to stay. Please? Just for a little while?" Y/n begged, mainly looking at her eldest sister, who rolled her eyes, visibly weighing her options.

"A few moments, but nothing more." Sylwanin agreed.

They chatted quietly amongst each other, until Sylwanin shushed her young sisters, pointing out before them. A group of RDA soldiers came walking out onto the path with their guns in hand. In the center of them was a single red headed woman, she was searching the plant life, seemingly testing them with some sort of device, and noting down their reactions. Y/n tilted her head as she watched the woman work. The people spoke and she couldn't understand them, but she was sure that this woman was the reason she was here today. She could feel it.

"I swear, the lot of you." Grace shook her head as she moved about. "I get it's dangerous out here, but did so many of you have to come? These people are never going to show themselves if they're worried about getting shot."

"Listen, we need to start making head way with these people. Scans show the unobtainium is in it's highest density right where these savages live." A man next to her named Parker rolled his eyes.

"They're not savages, Parker. Jesus. Show some respect. This is their home, that we've invaded." Grace huffed annoyed and began walking right towards the bushes in which the girls were hiding.

Suddenly the woman made her way towards the very bush they were hiding in. The three sisters huddled together and held their breath. The woman was speaking in her own language and seemed to be barking orders at the men beside her. Y/n watched as Grace rolled her eyes many times. This movement was very funny to Y/n, knowing when she too was annoyed, she pulled similar tactics on her own parent's and siblings. Y/n tried her best to silence the quiet snickers that had escaped her.

Grace stopped what she was doing and carefully peeled apart the bush and eye'd the three blue children after hearing the small laugh. She gasped and the three children began screaming in fear.

"Wait!" Grace lifted her hands, showing she meant no harm. "It's okay! It's okay, I won't hurt you, I promise." Grace said quickly, but in a gentle tone.

The screams of the children were heard by the Warrior party and the Girl's father. Na'vi rushed the scene as they had been waiting hidden to see if these people were going to cross onto their lands. They came down from the trees, bow and arrows pointed at the Sky People, shouting and yipping, making the Sky People raise their guns. Y/n watched the two sides came at each other. Worried about her people and for this interesting woman, she jumped from the bush in front of the red haired woman, putting her hands up in the same way she did to calm everyone.

"Stop! Wait!" Y/n shouted sincerely at her people.

Her sister's stared at her wide eyed, but quickly joined her, surrounding the woman the Omaticaya were aiming at since she was much to close to the princesses.

"Listen here." Ateyo, one of the many brave warriors and father of Tsu'tey stared down the young child.

"Eh! Let her speak." Father hissed, instantly silencing him. Eytukan nodded at his youngest daughter and she nodded back. "Tell us what you need young one. You should not be here. It is not safe."

"Father. I understand. But, these Sky People are here for a reason. They may harm our lands, pillage the trees and home's from the creatures. But not all of them are bad. Everyone has good in them, even the Sky People. There is a calling upon this woman. I can feel it, Father. I promise you, I would not come here so recklessly. There is good in her, I can sense it." Y/n spoke passionately to her weary people.

She looked around at them all and then suddenly pointed to the sky as a seedling from the Tree of Souls, the closest connection to Eywa the Na'vi people saw, besides Y/n herself, floated down and gently landed on Grace's arm. Grace, herself, stopped and let the strange seedling land on her, listing to the child speak, even if she couldn't understand her. Whispers crawled through the air between the Omaticaya people.

They reluctantly lowered their bows and the Sky People seeing this, lowered their guns as well. Grace smiled at the three children in front of her and watched as the seedling floated away. Eytukan approached his children and the woman. Slow deliberation took place between the Sky People and the Chief due to the inability to speak to one another. Realizing this, Eytukan agreed cautiously to allow teaching's to take place between these Sky People and the Omaticaya. Y/n's heritage was one of the only secret's kept by the Omaticaya people. Fearing what may happen if she was discovered after explaining Eywa to the others. No one wanted any harm to come to her.

Grace, was a wonderful woman, sweet, kind, respectful. She loved listening to the teaching of the Omaticaya people. Hearing them speak so passionately about their world. Eventually, Grace had come back to them as a Na'vi. She looked very similar to her human form, only her hair was dark black, and resembled a Na'vi, nearly perfectly. Though a distinct aroma made them easily recognizable and they had an extra finger. This sort of technology worried some of the Omaticaya's, but they were assured by The Chief, despite his own worry.

Grace quickly came to love all the children from the Omaticaya Clan. She was especially close and so grateful to the three princesses for welcoming her with open arms. Grace had opened a school where educations were traded and the Sky People learned very quickly that the Na'vi were very smart. The Na'vi picked up their language quicker than they could teach. Peace seemed nearly complete. But despite the plea's of Y/n and the Omaticaya clan, even with Grace on their side, the RDA continued to pillage and ravage their lands. Causing so much destruction and pain.

"Good Morning, students." Grace greeted slowly and happily as she did every morning. "Good Morning." Grace switched between English and Na'vi language with ease as it had been 10 years.

Neytiri and Y/n leaned against the back of the classroom wall watching proudly and helping wherever they were needed. Their sister, Sylwanin, stopped coming to school about two years ago. Being that she was outraged that the RDA continued their work on Pandora. There was no official war, but arrows had indeed been released and bullets shot many times. Leading to injuries of the Omaticaya people that were not so easily healed.

Y/n was 16 now, betrothed to Tsu'tey, which she wasn't all to pleased over. Sure they were friends and cared for one another. But she wanted love. Real Love. Not just a mate that her parents chose for her. Sure, he was cute, strong and brave. Anything that someone would normally look for in a mate, but he just simply didn't appeal to her heart.

As class went on, the ground began to shake harshly. Grace, Neytiri and Y/n, quickly ushered the students in the corner of the classroom. Unknown as to what was going on. A group of Omaticaya warriors, dressed in paint came bursting through the doors, barricading themselves in.

"Grace protect us." Sylwanin begged.

"What's going on?" Grace asked quickly, standing in front of the small children.

"Sylwanin? What did you do?" Y/n questioned her sister quickly as she had pinned herself against the doorway.

Y/n could feel the pain from the trees being torn down, the anxiousness drew higher within her knowing something bad had happened.

"Get back, sister. Stay safe." Sylwanin pleaded her to her with her eyes wide.

"We were hunting and they were on our lands, getting much to close to Home Tree. The filth was destroying more of the forest. So we all set one of their machines on fire as a warning." Tsu'tey explained as he grabbed ahold of Y/n and held her close. "They came after us, so we ran here."

"That was foolish!" Y/n exclaimed trying to wiggle from his grip.

The shaking stopped and it seemed as though the coast was clear. The children stood up along with Grace. Neytiri walked towards Sylwanin as she opened the doorway, peeking outside. It seemed as though everything was all right. Grace was assuring the kids. Tsu'tey didn't let go of his grip on Y/n's arm's, knowing how reckless she could be. Suddenly, Sylwanin pushed Neytiri to the side as bullets rained down from the sky.

"Sylwanin!" Neytiri and Y/n screamed as they watched their sisters body fall to the ground limp and still.

"Quick, kids, out this way." Grace ushered them quickly outside, her arms around as many as she could.

No one could have expected the assault that had been brought that day. Tsu'tey nearly carried Y/n away as she cried out in pain for her people, while protecting Neytiri as well. They had no choice but to leave behind their sister's body. Many of the hunting parties lives were lost, as were many were children. The Omaticaya Clan mourned heavily that day the losses they incurred and from then on, was nothing but war. No matter how hard Y/n pleaded. It was announced that they were no longer allowed any contact with the Sky People. They were to be killed on site if caught on their lands.

The school was closed, children didn't return to the building and the girls missed Grace tremendously. She had been a good friend and taught them so much. Throughout the next two years, Y/n always snuck out, trying to make it to the base camp of the Na'vi Avatars, just to catch a glimpse of her friend and to possibly to learn something new. As much as she hated the bad Sky People for killing her sister, she still knew deep down, some of them were good. Something about them attracted her.

But even still, over the next two years. Y/n watched as the world around her began to crumble and burn at a much faster rate than before. Making her feel every ounce of pain the trees and life around her felt as it was destroyed by the Sky People without a second thought.
