Omaticayan Stronghold
3RD PERSON POV:
"We are not in Kansas anymore. We are going to Pandora." Quaritch recited to his crew from the Delta V that lingered closer and closer to Pandoran airspace. "Now, I know you're all askin' yourselves the same question... Why so blue?" Quaritch chuckled at his own pun and made the crew start to laugh with him. "For our sins in our past life, we have been brought back in the form of our enemy. That gives us their size, their strength, their speed. And with our training, that's a pretty potent mix."
"Do we have a mission yet?" Lyle Wainfleet asked of his commanding officer.
"Indeed we do. Our mission is to hunt down and kill the leader of the Na'vi insurgency. The one they call Toruk Macto. Jake Sully, as well as his wife Y/n Sully." Quaritch growled at the thought of the two.
"Yeah!" The crew members cheered and hollered raising their hands in the air.
"That's what it is." Wainfleet fist bumped another member.

3RD PERSON POV:
"Attack, attack! Gotcha!" Tuk said as she played with a Toruk Macto toy that was now her own. Passed down through each of the children.
She played around in the Cave of the Hallelujah Mountains anxiously awaiting the return of her parents and her brothers. Kiri had given her the toy in an attempt to keep her busy and her thoughts off their parents. Tuk being the adventurous child she is, was running around all over the place.
"Tuk!" One of the scientists groaned, as she had pushed her way through their healing procedure. "Come on!"
"Hyah!" Tuk cheered getting farther away from.
Kiri was under one of the tents helping Spider put blue war paint on himself. Spider was much closer to Kiri than some the other Sully siblings. But if there was one Spider liked besides Kiri, it would be Lo'ak, though he saw each of the kids as his family.
"I'm definitely faster when I'm blue." He explained to her.
"Skawng." Kiri laughed.
"No, seriously." Spider told her. "And the animals respect me more. They don't think of me as human."
"Wait," Kiri mentioned moving in front of Spider. "You're human?"
"Ha-ha." Spider fakely laughed and flicked some of the paint at her.
She winced away and turned back to grin at Spider playfully, just when a conch horn began to blow. The sound echoed through their camp for Omaticayan people, signaling to everyone that the war party was returning. Tuk, heard the conch and then the ululating cry of her Father. When she looked up into the sky, Ikran's began flying over head and she grinned from ear to ear.
"They're coming!" She shouted excitedly. "They're coming!" She dodged the other excited Na'vi and ran back towards the tent where Kiri and Spider were play fighting with each other. "Kiri, Spider! The war party's coming back! Come on! Come on!" She shouted excitedly.
"Let's go, come on!" Kiri agreed, excited to see her parents again.
The three children ran towards the cliff side.
YOUR POV:
Kai'ora and I flew gracefully back into the camp stronghold, beside Jake and Neteyam. Lo'ak flying in shortly behind us. As soon as her feet touched the ground, I released our bond and I dismounted her. Neytiri was quick to follow after me. We nodded at each other and while I left to tend to my family, she left to help Mother with the wounded.
"MOM!" Tuk shouted as she ran at me.
I'd never get tired of hearing her little voice call for me. She crashed into my legs and I cradled her head in my hands, pressing her close to my body.
"Tuk!" I sighed.
"Mom." She said happily as she snuggled further into me.
"Oh, my Tuk. Tuk, Tuk, Tuk, Tuk, Tuk."
"Fall in." Jake demanded as Lo'ak landed in between our Ikran's. I held Tuk's small hand in mine watching my Husband call to our son's. "You're supposed to be spotter's. You spot bogeys, and you call 'em in. From a distance!" Jake growled angrily. "Does any of this I sound familiar? Get in here!"
Jake yelled as Lo'ak stood by his own Ikran, out of way. Kiri squeezed my hand on her way by me and we smiled at one another. Immediately she moved past me and over towards Neteyam inspecting his wounds. She was doing well in her Tsahik training and I was immensely proud of her. My eyes were caught, by my son's and I watched Lo'ak slowly move towards his father who was acting rather like a Drill Sargent then their father.
"Jesus. I let you two geniuses fly your first mission, and you disobeyed direct orders." Jake scolded the boys and looked at Kiri irritably as she inspected Neteyam's wounds. "Kiri, can you go help your grandmother with the wounded? Please?" Jake asked in a much softer tone with her.
"My brother is wounded." Kiri pointed out matter of factly, unamused.
I walked around my family towards my daughter and son. I quickly inspected Lo'ak seeing he was mainly uninjured besides a few scratches that didn't need mending. I carefully touched his shoulder and nodded at him. I moved closer to Neteyam. I could still feel the sting in my chest of my son being hurt. I gently touched Neteyam's arm.
"It's fine." Neteyam assured his sister. "I'm fine, mother. Are you, all right." Neteyam mentioned softly at my touch.
"Don't worry about me." I shook my head looking him over myself.
"Baby girl, please." Jake begged her as Tuk came over, wanting to join and make sure her eldest brother was alright too. "Tuk, go with her. Go."
"Dad." Neteyam said softly. When Jake turned and glared at him, Neteyam but his hands up almost defensively. "Sir. I take full responsibility."
Both Kiri and Tuk sighed as they moved away from Neteyam in annoyance of Jake, and hearing their brother try to take the blame for Lo'ak once again.
"Yeah, you do." Jake stated. "That's right. 'Cause your the older brother. You gotta act like it." He scolded him and I wasn't sure how much more I could take seeing my boys so distressed. Plus, our son needed medical attention.
"MaJake." I sighed and he looked at me. "Our son is actually bleeding." I pointed out.
"Mother, it's... It's fine." Neteyam shook his head as he looked to the ground.
I moved between him and Jake and lifted his chin to look into my face.
"It's not. The lecture can wait. You're hurt. Go see your Aunt and Grandmother. Now." I said softly.
"Just go and get patched up." Jake replied irritably. "Go on, dismissed."
I rolled my eyes slightly and led my eldest son away. As we walked I looked back at Lo'ak with a sympathetic look, and yet stern. He nodded slightly understanding that he needed to stay put for now and listen to his father. Jake paced for a moment before he looked back at Lo'ak placing his hands on his hips.
"You do understand that you almost got your brother killed." Jake said lowly.
"Yes, sir." Lo'ak nodded.
"You're grounded. No flying for a month." Jake relayed to him.
Lo'ak looked to the ground disappointed in his punishment, but unwilling to fight his father on it. Spider, however, wasn't trying to ease drop on his friend, but as he tended to the Ikran he over heard their conversation. He felt upset for his friend.
"Now, see to the Ikran. All of 'em." Jake demanded.
"Yes, sir." Lo'ak nodded.
"And get that crap off your face."
~~~~~~~~~~
Neteyam had been inside the medical tent for some time. The sun had gotten low and the Pandoran night sky was beginning to emerge, even from our dark cavern I could see it. I took in a deep breath and let it out slowly while pacing the front of the tent, hearing my son wince and complain for the 20th time at least. Neytiri stood on the outside with me looking in while leaning against the tent pole. And Jake sat a few feet away cleaning his weaponry.
"Ow. Ow! Ow!" Neteyam hissed as Mother worked on his putting the mixture of herbs over his wounds.
"Aw, want a kiss on the boo-boo?" Spider mocked softly.
Neteyam shot him a playfully irritated glance. Kiri and Tuk were on the other side of the tent. Kiri mixing up something else and then proceeded in giving the bowl to her sister.
"Give him this." Kiri instructed her.
"Okay." Tuk smiled, taking the bowl.
"I would use, Yalna bark." Kiri mentioned to her grandmother.
"Here drink." Tuk instructed Neteyam. He smiled and nodded gratefully at his young sister.
"Oh, you would? And who is Tsahik?" Mother asked with a raised brow.
"You are Grand... Move!" Kiri began to speak before pushing Lo'ak out of her way. "You are Grandmother. But Yalna bark is better."
I always loved Kiri's mind. She wasn't afraid to challenge anyone, but she never did it rudely.
"Ow! Ow! Ow." Neteyam complained as Mother began to rub more of her mixture on his back.
"It stings less." Kiri mentioned with a wince, hating seeing her brother in any kind of pain.
"She might just be ready to take your place, Mother." Neytiri snicked beside me.
"It's a wonderful suggestion, Kiri." I said with a nod earning a proud smile from her. "It does have the same healing properties."
Mother turned and glared at the both of us.
"Mighty warrior." Lo'ak snickered at his brother's pain.
"I wouldn't be hurt if Lo'ak wasn't such a skxawng." Neteyam teased back before wincing again.
I winced at my son's pain. I looked over my shoulder again, seeing Jake solely focused on cleaning his gun. It made me roll my eyes in annoyance. Our son was hurt. Yes, he was okay, but the entire family was over here and he hardly gave but small glances into the tent from where he sat.
"Go." Neytiri whispered softly and I looked at her. "Go. No need to hover, I've got my eyes on them. And Neteyam is in good hands. I see you peeking at him, so go." She mentioned, gesturing towards my husband.
I had a few words I wished to share with him and I sighed with a nod. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to keep my over protective attitude in check even against my husband. My kids were my whole world and the moment they were born they took priority even above MaJake. I squeezed her shoulder in thanks and turned around. I walked towards him and paused.
"What?" Jake sighed as I stood behind him, unsure of how to begin.
"Neteyam and Lo'ak try to live up to you." I started off, my voice a little firmer than I would have liked but it was too late to go back now. "It is very hard on them."
"I know." Jake agreed. He didn't even turn to make eye contact with me.
"I don't think you understand..." I sighed. I moved closer to him and knelt down next to him, placing my hand on his gun to make him stop and look at me. "You are very hard on them."
"I'm their father. It's my job." Jake replied looking at me with a hardened expression.
"Jake." I scowled. "They are still just children. Our children. This is not a squad. It is a family."
I held my tightened glare at him, watching him squirm. There had to be more. I knew there did. I watched as Jake sighed and seemingly debated with himself. When he finally locked eyes with me again, I saw the same familiar look I had over a year ago when the Sky People had retuned. One I had rarely been shown, nearly since that moment so long ago.
His eyes were big, watery and filled with so much pain. The one thing Jake tried so hard to hide but never could around me. His fear. My stature relaxed and I placed my hand on his knee, scooting closer towards him. Jake's hand moved to hold over mine and we held our gaze.
"I thought we'd lost them." Jake whispered, pain filling his voice.
"I know. I did too... I felt it." I sighed.
Jake's eyes widened more and he moved closer pressing his forehead to mine.
"Are you okay?" He asked quietly.
"I'm fine now." I replied. "But, I've never felt such fear in my life. Feeling their pain is like a thousand arrows had pierced my heart at once. I could not breathe. This feeling... is much different than when it's pain from our surroundings. But, I didn't freeze. My first and immediate thought was of them, of our boys. That fire in my heart is what kept me going. You need to do the same. You're a great father, Jake. Don't doubt yourself. Our boys are brave, and so smart when they use their common sense." I explained and we both chuckled.
"Yeah, well I couldn't do it without you, Y/n. It's because they have such a wonderful and amazing mother that we've got four of the greatest kids in the world... I'll do better for them."
As Neteyam was finished being patched up, Mother kicked out all of the older children, Kiri, Lo'ak and Spider. Tuk stayed by my side as we joined inside the tent to speak about Neteyam's actions. He was mainly scolded by Jake, but no punishment was given to him for today's actions. The way he spoke to him was still firm, but it was less like a Sargent and more like a Father which filled my heart with joy.
3RD PERSON POV:
Kiri, Lo'ak and Spider all jogged out of the tent and towards the science lab that rested on the outskirts of camp. The Sully children and Spider making a short cut through the Avatar camp. Spider leading the way. As they walked through, Norm's avatar that had been revived from the first war was inside along with 6-7 others.
"We'll check on this tomorrow." Jocelyn, one of the human scientists said as she patched up one of the injured Avatar's.
"Hey, Spider." Norm smirked as he whipped the towel at the young boy's legs, making him jump.
"Your ass is mine." Spider laughed.
"I'm right here." Norm chuckled back challengingly.
"What's up, bro?" Spider asked another Avatar.
"What up?" He replied.
"Avatar's only! Go around!" Jocelyn scolded the children as they walked through the tent.
Kiri mocked her with a squeaky voice, earning arm's thrown up in the air in annoyance. While Lo'ak looked at her with his own hands raised defensively.
"Sorry!" Lo'ak apologized on his sister's behalf.
They walked closer towards the lab that had been relocated into mountains for safe keeping. Playing around with one another and Lo'ak jumped over the railing to the stairs, cutting in front of Spider.
"Yeah. Those blue stripes don't make you any bigger, bro." Lo'ak teased making Kiri giggle.
"Yeah, well, I can still kick your ass." Spider scoffed back playfully.
As the three teenagers emerged into the lab, the human drivers of the avatars were just exiting their pods.
"Oof! Hell of a day!" Norm said as his pod opened and his human self emerged.
"Long run." Max chuckled.
"Like a little annoying bug." Kiri picked on Spider as the three entered.
"Yeah, ha-ha. Real hysterical, guys." Spider said sarcastically. "You know what really sucks though? Is you can breathe Earth air for hours, and I can only breathe your air for, like, 10 seconds."
Kiri and Lo'ak immediately grabbed their exo-packs, with Pandoran tanks on them. Spider was correct. The Na'vi could breathe Earth air for hours, but since they still needed some of their own air, they still had to take precaution when at the lab and wear their own specially designed exo masks. It was just a simple mask, one to bring up to your face when you need a breath. Not like the humans, where they had to wear them 24/7 when outside in Pandora.
Lo'ak placed his pack around him and placed the mask to his face taking in a breath while Kiri stood near the door and mocked Spider.
"Yeah, monkey boy, that really sucks." Kiri said sarcastically before leaning down and tickling his sides. "For you."
They both chuckled. Kiri turned back around to grab her own exo-pack. As her tail twitched in the air, Spider smirked and he reached out and pulled on it before jumping back with a laugh. Kiri grunted at the pull and moved after him. Both beginning to growl at each other playfully.
"Hi, Max." Kiri waved noticing him near Norm.
"Hey, kids." Max waved to them.
"Hey, what's up, Max?" Spider asked and the two fist bumped. "What's up, Norm?"
"Lo'ak!" Norm greeted him with a quick wave before returning his attention to Spider.
Kiri, uninterested in the boys moved over to a large Cryocapsule and growing chamber. She climbed right up on top of the glass with a big grin on her face as she looked down into the blue waters with a blue being inside. It was Grace's Avatar, still in her Coma like state. Kiri studied her face. She loved her parents very much. Jake and Y/n were probably the best parents she could ever ask for. But Kiri still always felt like a piece of her was missing. The hole filing when she would visit her birth mother.
"Hi, Ma." Kiri said softly. Grace's Avatar twitched slightly and Kiri pressed herself against the glass chamber. A form of giving her mother a hug.
It was one of the reasons she loved to come to the lab. Not only could she at least physically see her, but she was given permission to watch anything from Grace's archives. Video logs, hundreds of them and she had already seen each and every one. She loved to hear her speak, hear her talk passionately about Pandora and the life that survived around them. She turned on another one after getting off the tank while the boys were still distracted and speaking to one another.
"Maybe I'm just losing it out here, but I'm seeing real evidence of a systemic response on a global level." Grace's human form explained through the video. Norm was seen in the background working on something as Grace completed her video log. "I can't... I won't use the term intelligence. It's uhm, maybe awareness is a better word?"
Spider had come over and leaned against the tank behind Kiri, watching her. She took a breath from her exo-pack and she continued to do nothing but smile as she looked at Grace in the video.
"It's like the entire biosphere of Pandora is aware and capable of this cognitive response." Grace explained. "Oh, crap. I can't say that. They'll crucify me, I mean, I need something to say that'll..."
"So who do you think knocked her up?" Lo'ak asked moving away from the video screen. His words capturing the attention of the other two teenagers. "Pretty sure it was Norm."
"Totally." Spider chuckled.
Kiri turned and glared at both boys in disgust and shock at their accusation.
"You do not deserve to live." Kiri stated.
"No, no, no. Think about it, right?" Lo'ak began to explain his reasoning. "I mean, he's the teachers pet. He out at the lab with her all the time."
"I would kill myself." Kiri said seriously. "I would drink acid."
"Bro, you're right. He's, like, in every shot." Spider laughed towards the video. Norm appeared and he stood closely behind Grace. The two made a sort of lovey eye contact at each other. "Bro, look, look he's giving her looks!"
"Hey." Kiri frowned at him, making Spider immediately stop laughing.
"See, I'm thinkin', their two Avatars were out in the woods all alone..." Lo'ak mentioned in a sweet voice.
"Gross!" Kiri pushed her brother making him laugh.
"Guys." Spider spoke solemnly. "I mean, sometimes it's not so great to know who your father was."
The mood quickly turned from playful to serious as the three looked at each other. Spider's thoughts about his father bringing him down. Both Kiri and Lo'ak feeling sorry for their friend and badly at their conversation.
"Whatever." Spider sighed and moved off from the railing beside the growing chamber Grace's body floated in, turning away from his friends. "I don't even remember him."
"No, Spider..." Lo'ak said.
"Dude." Spider replied, hating the sound of pity in his voice.
"Spider..." Kiri said softly as she moved behind him. "You are not him."
