Chapter 7: Earthbenders
"Hey Asami!" I looked up from my drawing when I heard Zuko calling me. I was sitting in the dining room instead of my room, and was busy drawing sky bison and winged-lemurs flying together in the sky. As I looked up from my drawing, I saw Zuko entering the dining room with a frown. "Hey Zuko." I said as I put my pencil down. "What's up?" "Have you seen my uncle anywhere?" Zuko asked as he walked over and stopped at the table. "No, not really." I answered after thinking for a minute with a frown. "Come to think of it," I started as I looked next to me and noticed something missing. "I haven't seen him or Kai since this morning.." I said as I looked up to Zuko with a half worried frown.
"You think he might be with your uncle?" I asked after Zuko sighed in frustration. "Most likely." He answered as he shook his head. "Come on!" He said as he offered his hand to me to help me up. "Maybe they're walking around in the forest." He said and pulled me up. "Let me just go get my gloves in my room. Incase we walk into some Fire Nation soldiers or Earth Kingdom villagers. Don't want anyone finding out who I really am." I said and left the to my room after Zuko nodded. I was wearing a black shirt with a red phoenix on it. It covered my back, but the sleeves are short, so I need to wear gloves. I got to my room quickly put on black and red gloves, with black strings attached.
I left my room and met up with Zuko below deck. "Ready to go?" Zuko asked as he waited for me. I nodded to him and followed him from behind as we exited the ship. "I hope they didn't get lost." I said worriedly as we entered the forest in search of the retired general and fire ferret pet. "I'm sure they're fine." Zuko said before muttering to himself softly. "Well, they will be until I get my hands on them for keeping us here longer and making us go look for them." I knew I wasn't suppose to hear that, but I did, and it made me giggle in amusement. Zuko blushed slightly when he realized that I heard him before huffing in frustration.
"Uncle! It's time to leave!" Zuko called out as he moved some bamboo out his way. He held the bamboo away from me to past through and released them thanked him for clearing the path. "Where are you?" Zuko exclaimed as he started walking again, in search of his uncle. "Uncle Iroh!" He shouted out as his patients got thinner and thinner. "Over here!" Iroh called out to us, with Kai yipping out in the background. Zuko and I followed the sound of Kai's yipping and soon found Iroh's clothes hanging on a low branch. "Uncle?" Both Zuko and I said in surprise when we saw Iroh laying in a hot springs relaxing, with Kai swimming around in the springs.
"Well that's not something you see everyday." I said as Zuko and I walked closer to the hot springs. "We need to move on! We're closing in on the Avatar's trail and I don't want to lose him!" Zuko exclaimed in annoyance. "You look tired Prince Zuko!" Iroh said in a relaxed voice. "Why don't you join me in these hot springs and soak away your troubles!" He said as he laid back, even more relaxed. "I'm sure that dear Asami would enjoy these hot springs as well!" I'll have to admit, those hot springs do look fun and relaxing! But I don't think I should test Zuko's patience right now with his temper and get in the hot springs. And besides, I don't have my bathing suit on or with me, and I'm honestly to lazy to walk to the ship and back for it.
"My trouble can not be soak away!" Zuko said as he glared at his uncle in both frustration and anger. "It's time to go!" He snapped, making me flinch slightly. But Iroh just continued laying back, relaxed in the hot springs. "You should take your teacher's advice and relax a little." Iroh said with a relaxed smile, making me actually want to get in the hot springs and relax as well. "The temperature's just right. I heated it myself." Iroh said before blowing steam out of his nose and making the hot spring a little bit warmer, and made Kai groan in pleasure. Okay! Now I really wanna go in! I thought to myself as the steam surrounded us.
"Enough!" Zuko exclaimed as he waved the steam away. "We need to leave now!" He exclaimed, like a kid throwing a tantrum. I pouted slightly at the prince's words before sighing softly as I realized that I won't get to relax in the hot springs. "Get out of the water!" Zuko exclaimed as he stepped forward and then glared down at Kai was now laying back in the water like Iroh, relaxing. "Both of you!" I couldn't help but smile as I watched him scold his uncle and Kai like toddlers. Not wanting to anger him more, I quickly covered my mouth to stop myself from laughing and to hide my smile.
"Very well then!" Iroh said and stood up. I squeaked in surprise when I realized Iroh is naked and when Zuko pulled me to his chest and covered my eyes with the one hand. "On second thought!" Zuko quickly exclaimed as he closed his eyes tight and blocked the view with his free hand. "Why don't you take another few minutes!" He suggested as he started walking away from the hot springs, pulling me with him, and still covering my eyes. "But be back at the ship in half an hour!" Zuko quickly added, still covering my eyes. "Or I'm leaving without you!" "And please look after Kai! Don't let him get into trouble!" I called out over my shoulder as best as I could with Zuko covering my eyes.
We continued walking away from the hot springs until I finally asked, "Is it clear now?" "I don't know, I'm actually too afraid to look." Zuko said as we continued walking. "Wait a minute!" I exclaimed in shock, eyes still covered by his hand. "You're walking with your eyes closed!?!" I exclaimed as I stopped and tried to pull his hand away from my eyes. But Zuko just continued walking and pulled me along with him and didn't remove his hand from my eyes. "I don't want to open them and see something that would damage them more!" Zuko exclaimed after I finally gave up on removing his hand. "If your eyes are closed, how are we not walking into trees or something?" I asked with a confused frown.
But the second I asked, both Zuko and I groaned in pain when we suddenly walked into something hard. "Does that answer your question?" Zuko groaned as he moved us away from, what I think was a tree. "Yeah..." I groaned as well and rubbed my sore head. "But I think you should take that as a hint and open your eyes and uncover mine!" I exclaimed as Zuko started walking again, still covering my eyes with his hand. "Or at least just mine! I don't want to walk into a mountain next time! Or walk over a cliff!" I exclaimed as I fear for our lives, my life mostly.
Zuko sighed softly in annoyance as he stopped walking and removed his hand from my eyes. I sighed in relief as I got my sight back and turned to face Zuko, who's eyes were now open. "Thank you." Zuko nodded and started walking again. "I think I might need new eyes!" I said and shuddered as I thought back on the previous moment at the hot springs. "You and me both." Zuko said as he as well shuddered. "But you can't say much though!" He said as looked to me. "I covered your eyes before I covered mine!" I shrugged slightly before looking back to him. "Thanks for that by the way!" I said, getting a 'you're welcome' grunt.
We got to the ship soon and seeing that I still want to relax, but not in the hot springs of coarse, I decided to go swimming. I went to my room and got dress in my red bikini Iroh bought for me when we went shopping for the first time. I told him buying a bathing suit was over the line, and that I don't need one. But Iroh kept insisting that I need it and that I never know when I will wear it. Now I'm glad he talked me into it to buy it for me. Because now I can swim and don't have to worry over wet clothes.
"Where are you going?" Zuko asked me as I walked past him with a towel over my shoulder. "I'm going swimming!" I said over my shoulder without stopping. "Swimming?" Zuko said in confusion as he followed me. "Yeah, now it is no hot springs! But some swimming in the sea could be relaxing." I said as I exited the ship. "Swimming in the sea!?!" He exclaimed even more shocked. "Yeah!" I said as I looked over my shoulder and frowned at him. "You're acting as if swimming in the sea isn't normal." I stated as I continued walking down to the beach. "It's only normal at public beaches!" Zuko exclaimed as we got closer to the beach. "You know? Beaches that actually tells you that there aren't any sea monsters!"
"Well," I started saying as I took my towel and spread it out on the sand. "I'm quick swimmer, especially with my airbending." I said and started taking off my shoes. "So, if there is any sea monsters in these waters, he won't be able to catch me." I said and started walking towards the water. Before I could get in, Zuko grabbed my arm and held me back. I looked up to the prince with annoyed eyes, but he was staring at me with half frustrated and half worried eyes. "I don't think it is such a good idea. In fact, I think you shouldn't go swim in those unknown waters!" Zuko exclaimed and started pulling me back to my towel.
I pulled my arm out of his grip after rolling my eyes in annoyance and gave him a glare. "Seriously Zuko! You're overreacting!" I said as I put my hands on my hips. "No! I'm not!" Zuko snapped at me and grabbed my arm again and started pulling me again. I rolled my eyes at the scar prince's stubbornness and pulled my arm out off his strong grip again. "Seriously Zuko, you are overreacting!" I exclaimed my previous words again at him and was about to turn back to the water again, but once again pulled back by Zuko. "I don't want you to get hurt Asami!" Zuko snapped as he grabbed me by the shoulders and looked me right in the eye.
I blinked a few times in shock at Zuko's snap, at his words. But Zuko just breathing deeply, trying to control his temper as he stared into my grey eyes with his worried and frustrated gold eyes. I slowly stepped closer to him and took both of his hands in mine, squeezing them gently. "Okay, Zuko..." I said softly as I looked him in the eye. "This is the third time I'm saying this... You're overreacting." Zuko scoffed at my words and was about to pull his hands out of mine, but I tightened my grip around them. "I understand your concern, and I really appreciate it! But I can handle myself." I said without breaking eye contact.
"Especially with sea monsters!" I added with a smile, but Zuko just glared at me, not convinced. I sighed in annoyance at him and started thinking of a way to convince him. "Okay, how about this? You stay here and keep an eye out for sea monsters, and I'll just swim in the shallow end where sea monsters can't get to me." I suggest with my eyebrow raised. "It's a win-win! I get to swim and you get to make sure that I don't get in trouble!" I could see from his expression that Zuko was thinking it over. His eyebrows narrowed as he thought, before sighing in defeat. "Okay, fine!" I cheered excitedly after he finally agreed and hugged him. "Thanks Zuko!" I exclaimed as I hugged and run to the water before he could hug back.
"No, wait! Asami!" Zuko called out to me, but I was already in the water. Even from all the way over here, I could hear Zuko moaning and groaning about me, but I just ignore him as I walked deeper into the water. "Okay, that's deep enough!" Zuko called out from the beach. I rolled my eyes in annoyance and turned to face him. "Seriously!?! The water isn't even at my waist! It's barely past my knees!" I exclaimed at him, but the scar prince just crossed his arms and glare at me. "Either you swim there, or I'm taking you out!" Zuko exclaimed as he stared at me in frustration, which made me roll my eyes again. "You're going to have to get in the water to get me out!" I exclaimed as I turned around.
"Don't test me!" Zuko exclaimed, stopping me from going deeper in. "Come on Zuko! Just a little bit deeper!" I begged with a pout, but Zuko just shook his head at me. "Nope! That's deep enough!" He exclaimed with a serious look. I scoffed in disbelief as I shook my head at his stubbornness. "A kiddie's pool is deeper than this!" I exclaimed as I waved my arms in frustration. "A kiddie's pool doesn't have sea monsters in them!" What is it with this guy and sea monsters? "What's with you and sea monsters?" I voiced my thought as I splashed some water on my arm to get used to the water. "Nothing!" Zuko answered way to quickly if you ask me.
"Whatever you say." I said with a 'not convinced' voice, and splashed my other arm with water. Not caring anymore about Zuko's temper, I started going deeper in. "Asami..." Zuko called out warningly, but I just ignored him. I continued walking deeper and deeper until the water was up to my waist. "Asami!" Zuko shouted out, but like previously, I ignored him again. I took a deep breath and dived down into the water before coming back up again. With my eyes closed, I quickly wiped the water away from them, along with my wet hair before opening them again. Feeling the warm sun on my skin, I took a deep relaxing breath before laying back and floating on the water.
Without a care in the world, I just laid back and floated around in the water. As I floated, I moved my arms to go a bit deeper. I wasn't scared to go deeper, and I didn't worry for any sea monsters. Honestly, if there were sea monsters in these waters, we would have seen one by now at least. Having floated around enough, I started diving and swimming around again. After splashing my face with a bit of water, I laid back again with my eyes closed and floated on my back on the water. Suddenly, I was grabbed and lifted out of the water. Before I could scream or airbend or even attack whatever was grabbing me, I was thrown over someone's shoulder.
"Zuko!" I exclaimed in anger after realizing that I'm on the scar prince's shoulder. "I told you if you go deeper, I would take you out." Zuko said as he walked back to the beach. "Are you kidding me!" I exclaimed in frustration as I tried to glare at him over my shoulder. "Seriously Zuko! If there were sea monsters in these waters, they would've attacked by now!" I snapped as I tried to get off the scar prince's shoulder, but he just tightened his hold on me. "Put me down!" I snapped as I grabbed his hand and tried to loosen his hold on me. "I'll put you down once we get back to the ship." Zuko said as he walked out of the water and walked over to my towel.
"I barely swam for 5 minutes!" I exclaimed before squeaking in surprise when Zuko suddenly put me down on my feet. Before I could snap at him again or hit him, Zuko took my towel and wrapped it around me. Taking me even more by surprise, Zuko started rapidly rubbing the towel against me as he dried me off. "Walking back from the hot springs was about 15 minutes." Zuko said as he dried me off. "You getting dress and walking to the beach, was about 10 minutes, maybe more." "And your point is?" I asked as Zuko wrapped the towel tight around me. "That those 25 minutes walking, your 8 minutes swimming, and our 7 minutes argument, means that more than half an hour is over."
Before I could comment on the scar prince's words, Zuko picked me up again and threw me over his shoulder again. "Zuko!" I cried out in surprise as he started walking back to the ship. "We need to get back to the ship. I gave my uncle half an hour to come back to the ship. He and the rest of the crew are probable already waiting for us." Zuko said as he tightened his hold around me when I tried to get off his shoulder. I scoff in disbelief as I shook my head before looking over my shoulder to see his face as best as I could. "You honestly believe that you're uncle would back in half an hour?" I asked with an raised eyebrow.
Zuko stopped for a moment before shrugging his shoulders, with me still on his shoulder, and continued walking again, making me groan in frustration as I laid my chin on my hand and laid my elbow on Zuko's back. "You're so frustrating!" I groaned as the scar prince walked back to his ship. Zuko chuckled at my comment, which tickled my stomach because his chuckles vibrated up to his shoulders. "Well... now you know how I feel." He said in amusement, practically hearing the smirk on his face, if that is even possible. I just rolled my eyes at him with a groan before sighing as I laid back on my hand, while Zuko continued walking back to the ship.

It was almost sunset, and Iroh wasn't back yet. "Uh! Where is he?" Zuko asked in frustration as he walked back and forth on the deck. "Told you he wouldn't be back in half an hour." I said as I continued drawing my flying bison and winged-lemurs. After Zuko brought me back on the ship, I changed back in my black shirt with the red phoenix on it. "I knew he wouldn't be back in half an hour!" Zuko said with a glare, but it didn't faze me. "But it has been more than three hours! And it's almost sunset!" He added as he stopped his pacing. As much as it hurts me to admit it, he's right.
"Maybe we should go and get him and Kai." I suggested as I put my pencil down. Zuko turned his head to me for a moment before nodding in agreement. "Go get your gloves while I get some guards to come with us and saddle some komodo rhinos up to get there quicker." He said as he walked over to me and offered his hand to help me up. I nodded my thanks to the scar prince before placing my hand in his and stood up and went to my room to get my gloves. After I got my gloves, I went below deck and waited for Zuko and his guards at the exit. A few minutes later the guards came with the rhinos, with Zuko following behind.
One of the guards handed one of the rhino's reins to Zuko before he and the rest got on their own rhino. Zuko jumped up and sat down on the saddle before steering the rhino over to me. As the rhino came closer, I realized the komodo rhino Zuko was riding was Niko. I smiled at the friendly rhino and petted his nose before taking Zuko's hand to pull me up to sit behind him. He waited for a minute more me to get comfortable and wrap my arms around his waist before he whipped the reins and steered Niko towards the hot springs.

"Uncle! Uncle where are you?" Zuko called out as he, the guards and I walked around the hot springs in search of the retired general and my fire ferret pet. "Kai! Kai!" I called out as worry slowly started to come to me. "Where are they?" I asked Zuko with eyes full of worry. Zuko frowned sadly to me before squeezing my shoulder softly in comfort. "Don't worry." Zuko said softly to me, before walking over to the hot springs where Iroh was in. "Sir, maybe your uncle thought you left without him." One of the guards suggest. "I doubt that." I said as I wrapped my arms around myself for comfort.
"Somethings not right here!" Zuko said as he looked around with a frown. He looked down and was about to say something, but was interrupted by a yip. We all looked towards where the sound came from and saw a fire ferret hiding behind a tree. "Kai!" I cried out in relief and run over to him. Kai yipped when he saw me and quickly run to me and jumped straight into my arms. I brought Kai close to my chest and held him tightly, as he shook in my arms in fear. "It's okay Kai... I'm here." I said as I petted Kai on the head as I tried to calm him down. But Kai just kept on shaking in fear.
"Last time Kai shook like this, was when Zhao scared him with his fire." I said as Zuko walked over to us and petted Kai as well, also trying to calm down the scared fire ferret. "Then something bad happened here." Zuko said before looking back over to the hot springs. "That pile of rocks!" He exclaimed in realization while I gasp in worry. "It looks like there's been a landslide, sir." One of the guards said as Zuko and I walked closer to the now rock covered hot spring. "Land doesn't slide uphill." I said as I held Kai tighter against me. "She's right," Zuko said as sat down on one knee and inspected the rocks. "Those rocks didn't move naturally."
"My uncle has been captured by earthbenders!"
Kai whimpered at the name earthbenders and tried to push himself closer against me. I cooed softly to him and petted his back as Zuko stood back up and walked over to us. "You and Kai go back to the ship with the guards." "But what about you?" I asked with a frown. "I'm going after my uncle. I need to save him from the earthbenders." He said as he took my arm and pulled me to the komodo rhinos. "I'm coming with you then." I said as I pulled my arm out of his grip and turned to face him. "No way!" Zuko exclaimed stubbornly and shook his head. "Oh come on Zuko! I can help!" I exclaimed as I looked him right in the eye.
"This is going to be dangerous!" Zuko said as he tried to take my arm again and take me to the rhinos, but I just side stepped before he could. "All the more reason more me to go. You're going to need my help." I said, about to cross my arms but then remembered that I had Kai in my arms. "I'm going after earthbenders Asami! If you come with me, you're going to get hurt!" I groaned in annoyance and rolled my eyes at his remark. "Zuko, I'm the Avatar's Protector! I've been trained to fight and win since I was six!" I exclaimed while waving my one arm, the other still holding Kai. "If don't remember, I took down your whole crew without even bending! So I think I can handle a few earthbenders!"
Zuko stared at me with his glaring golden eyes for minute or two before groaning in frustration. "I swear I'm going to regret this!" He growled out through gritted teeth and marched towards Niko. I smirked in victory and walked after him. Zuko got up on the rhino and offered his hand to me, which I took, and pulled me up onto the rhino as well. But, instead of placing me behind him like last time, Zuko placed me in front of him, and wrapped his arm around my waist. Like always, I started blushing when I felt his strong arm around me, but quickly snapped out of it when Kai chirped in surprise when Niko snorted and shook his head.
"Hold on tight to the saddle and to Kai. We're going to ride very fast." Zuko said and waited for me to grab onto the saddle before whipping the reins, making Niko run down the trail of ostrich-horse tracks. We rode down the road until the sun has set completely, and still continued riding in the dark. "Aren't you tired?" I asked Zuko after both Kai and I yawned. "No." Zuko said without moving his eyes from the road. A minute or two has past in total silence before Zuko suggested something after I yawned again. "Why don't you lay your head on my shoulder and get some sleep?" I looked over my shoulder at him with repeatedly blinking eyes.
"You serious?" Zuko rolled his eyes at my comment before turning my body a bit with his arm and gently pushed my head down to his shoulder. "Sleep." He simply stated before wrapping his arm around my waist again. I blushed for a moment before yawning again. "Okay..." I said through a mid yawn before snuggling myself against him, holding Kai close to me like a teddy. "Night Zuko..." I said after yawning again, closing my eyes and letting sleep capture me.
***
"What's that?" I asked and pointed to the object laying in front of us in the road. Zuko stopped Niko and jumped off. "It looks like a sandal." He said as he walked over to the object laying on the road. "You think it's Iroh's?" I asked as Zuko kneeled down and picked the sandal up. He then brought the sandal close to his face and smelled it, before cringing in disgust at the smell. "Yeah! That's Uncle Iroh!" Zuko said and stood up while I stared at him wide shocked eyes. "Did you seriously just smell your uncle's smelly sandal?" I asked as my nose cringed in disgust while he walked over to us.
Zuko just shrugged at me and got back on to the saddle. Kai moved over to the sandal in Zuko's hand and sniffed it as well. The little fire ferret squeaked as he jumped back and put his front paws over his nose. Both Zuko and I chuckled at Kai's reaction over the stinky sandal. "That sandal must really stink." I said as picked Kai up and brought him close to me again as Zuko wrapped his arm around my waist and whipped the reins. "Trust me, nothing stinks more than my uncle's sandals." Zuko said with a shudder. I giggle at his comment and looked back in front of me, and watched the road and we rode down, following the trail.

"Seems like we're getting close." I said as we stopped at a trail tat was full of ostrich-horse tracks. "Looks like it." Zuko muttered as he studied the tracks. I looked down at the tracks as well until I heard a sudden groan. I frowned at the sound and looked up over my shoulder, before gasping in surprise when a saw my favorite sky bison. "Appa?" Zuko looked up from the tracks and looked to me with a frown. He soon noticed that I'm looking somewhere else and looked to the direction as well. "The Avatar!" Zuko said and steered Niko to turn around. He was about to follow after Appa, but was stopped by me. "Zuko... don't." I said as I turned and touched his shoulder.
"But, the Avatar!" Zuko exclaimed as he turned his head to me and glared. I rolled my eyes in frustration and shook my head in disbelieve. "Are you seriously telling me that capturing the Avatar is more important than saving your uncle?" I asked him with my eyebrow raised. Zuko stared at me for a moment before looking up to where we saw Appa last before looking back at the ostrich-horse tracks. He then looked back up to the sky before sighing in defeat. "He better still be here when we get back." Zuko muttered under his breath and whipped the reins, leading Niko down the ostrich-horse trail. I mentally smirked to myself in victory and turned to face the front again.
***
It was close to sunset when we found five ostrich-horses. All five of their reins were tied to a tree, and their owners were nowhere to be seen. "You think those are the same ostrich-horses we were tracking?" I asked as we slowed down to a stop. "Most likely." Zuko said as he jumped of the komodo rhino. "Okay... but then where are their riders then?" I asked, still on top of the rhino. "Where is Iroh?" I added with a worried and confused frown. Zuko frowned as well and looked around us, searching for any clues than can probably help us.
"Tie his hands down on that boulder!" A voice suddenly said from over the trees. Both Zuko and I looked to each other in surprise. I quickly jumped off of Niko and placed Kai on the saddle. "Stay here with Niko, Kai." I said and petted my fire ferret pet on the head. "Zuko and I would be right back with Uncle Iroh." I said and then turned to face Zuko. "Let's go!" He nodded to me and run towards where to voice came, with me following close behind. We soon got to the owner of the voice, and saw him and two other earthbenders, along with Iroh, who's in chains.
Zuko and I moved in closer and noticed that not only is Iroh is in chains, but his hands are chained down to a large boulder. "These dangerous hands must be crushed!" One of the earthbenders said and grunted as he earthbended a boulder up and moved it over as it floated above Iroh's chain hands. "They're going to break his hands!" I said in realization as my eyes widen in both shock and fear for my friend. "Not if we can stop them!" Zuko said and jumped up to his feet and run towards the earthbenders, me following close behind. The earthbender raised the boulder up a higher and send it crashing down towards Iroh's hands.
Luckily, Zuko got there in time and kicked the boulder away from his uncle. He then raised his kicked up and then brought it straight down to the chains, breaking the chains with his ankle in one blow. One of the earthbenders went to attack Zuko as his back was turned away, but I quickly jumped in and tripped the Earth Kingdom soldier. "Excellent form Prince Zuko and dear Asami!" Iroh said with a proud smirk as he stood up, back on his feet and took a hold of the chains. "You taught me well." Zuko said with a smirk as well and stood in battle stance, along with me after I nodded my thanks to the retired general.
"Surrender yourselves! It's five against three!" The Captain exclaimed as he and his soldiers circled us. "You're clearly outnumbered!" He added with a cocky smirk. "Ah! That's true! But you are clearly outmatched!" Iroh said as he stood in battle stance as well. I smirked at the retired general's comment and raised my fists up. "This is going to be fun." I said and cracked my knuckles. The Captain growled and shot big rocks at us, along with his soldiers. Iroh spun the chain in his hands and smashed the rocks that were coming towards him. Zuko kicked fire at the one soldier and then tripped the other one behind with the help of his firebending.
One of the soldiers earthbended a boulder up and was about to send it at me. But I quickly flipped over to him and landed in front of him with a split before using my legs to trip him as I twirled back up on my feet. "To slow." I said to the fallen down soldier and back flipped away before a boulder could hit me. "To slow again!" I said and smirked as I watched Zuko punched a ball of fire towards the soldier and knocked him out. But my smirk quickly went away I saw a larger boulder coming right at us. "Zuko, watch out!" I exclaimed as I jumped in front of him and was about to shoot a strong ball of air at the boulder to blast it away from us.
Luckily, Iroh used his chains to grab the boulder and threw it back to it's owners before it could either hit us or before I could airbend. I sighed in relief before backflipping to the side when the Captain started shooting boulders at both Zuko and I, repeatedly. We both dodged and ducked each boulder before it could hit either of us. Zuko then kicked a blast of fire at the Captain before punching two more towards him. But Captain dodged the first two and blocked the last one with his helmet. The Captain then anchored his feet and earthbended large boulders up and formed them together, making a huge boulder.
Both Zuko and I gasped at the massive rock and stepped back. Zuko quickly grabbed me by the arm and pulled me behind him, using himself to cover me from getting hit. I was about to argue and moved in front of him again to use my airbending to help us, but Iroh came to out rescue again. He used the chains and wrapped them around the captain's legs and pulled them hard. The Captain lost his balance and fell face first to the ground and his large boulders all fell down on him. We both sighed in relief and walked over to Iroh.
I hugged him while Zuko patted his shoulder. "You're okay!" I said after pulling out of the hug. "I am now! Thanks to you two!" Iroh said with a big bright smile, which both Zuko and I returned. "Anytime!" I said cheerfully and hugged the friendly old man again, which he returned with a joyful chuckle. "Would you now please put on some clothes?" Zuko asked with a begging voice after Iroh and I pulled out of our hug. I giggled at Zuko's comment while Iroh chuckled and blushed deep red.
