Laurens' Interlude (Autumn)
Sorry, I have been fantasizing of some of our characters in Hamilton, just playing scenes.
This might be a little sad.

"I may not live to see our glory.. " The wounded sung, clutching her abdomen as she looked down at the ground. Tears have cascaded their way onto her cheeks, sadly smiling.
The crowd around her wasn't there, carrying on with what they were doing seconds before.
"Gabriela..? You have a letter from South Carolina. " Lauren knocked on the door frame slowly. At a desk, Gabriela was writing something down, crowded by many other stacks of paper.
"But I will gladly join, the fight.. " Autumn winced, coughing as she made her way slowly to a nearby wall.
"It's from Autumn, I'll read it later. " Gabriela responded, smiling down at her paper as she wrote.
"No, its not.. " Lauren winced, frowning deeply now as she gazed over the letter she opened.
"And when our children tell our story... " The wincing girl cried softly at the thought of Max and Gabriela.
"... Will you read it?" Gabriela asked, turning around from her desk.
"They'll tell the story of... Tonight... " She smiled, reaching into her side pocket and pulling out a picture of her family back home. Tears didn't stop, dripping onto the paper, which was now stained in blood from her hand print from holding her wound.
Lauren sighed brokenheartedly. "On Tuesday the 27th, " She started, "Soldier Number 356, Autumn Akuma, was killed in a sword fight against rebel species troops of South Carolina. "
Gabriela looked at her, tears welling up into her eyes quickly as she looked back down, attempting to hide her tears.
"These troops have not yet received word from Yorktown that the battle was over. She is buried here until you can send for her remains. As you may know, Warrior Number 356 was engaged in joining three-thousand men and women for the first multi-gender recruit regiment. The surviving members of this regiment have been returned to their families... "
"Tomorrow, they'll be more of us.. " She smiled, caressing the photo as it will be the only memory that may be stored when she passes.
"... Gabriela, are you alright?" Lauren asked, reaching for her friends shoulder slowly. Gabriela stood up quickly, wiping her face as she turned towards the door way. ".... I have so much work to do.. " Is all she said, disappearing into the dark hallway.
Soon, a few friends Autumn had made during her days in the regiment had ran after her. They stood at the wall, watching as their friend and savior bled from her abdomen, clutching a family photo.
She had saved them once more.
Days before, Autumn had pushed them away from danger and shoved them in a place where they would be the safest. She told them to stay there and stay low.
This was the second and last time they would be saved by her.
They had disobeyed her wishes the second time, resulting in a bad outcome.
Autumn had rushed to them as they were struck with fear, jumping in front of them. The bullet had lodged in her stomach, deep enough that she would die anyway if she got away.
They knelt near their friend, whispering how sorry they were and how they wouldn't let her death bring them down.
One of the friends died the next day.
This wasn't the end of her tale, however. It depended on who lived.
Who died.
And who told her story.

Are ya crying yet..?
Cause I am.
