"Is she still not feeling well?" Harry asked Hermione as soon as he joined her at the table. Abigail had been out for almost two weeks now and he hadn't had the chance to talk to her. To apologize.

"She's still in bed," Hermione explained with a frown, "Can barely eat without hurting." She placed her fork down next to her plate, "Madam Pomfrey came and gave her medicine but it doesn't seem to be doing much good."

Harry opened his mouth to reply when he seemed to sense something. He looked over to where the Great Hall doors had opened and Ron and Hermione looked over as well to see Abigail standing there. She looked around the hall for a moment before her sight fell upon the Gryffindor table where her friends sat. She caught Harry's eye and immediately turned around and left the hall.

Harry quickly got up from his seat and went after her. Hermione moved to go with him but Ron placed his hand on her arm and stopped her, shaking his head slightly indicating that she should stay put.

"Abigail!" Harry shouted after her in the empty corridor where she stood. He made his way over to her but she made no move to acknowledge him. "Abigail?"

She turned around to face him, a vacant expression on her face, "He will return tomorrow night."

Harry grew confused at this, "Sorry?"

"Tomorrow night, he who betrayed his friends, whose heart rots with murder shall break free," Abigail went on only her voice wasn't entirely her own. "Innocent blood shall be spilt and the servant and master shall be reunited once more." Her eyes rolled to the back of her head before she fell, losing consciousness.

Harry was just able to catch her before she could hit the ground and he lowered her to the ground slowly. He looked around the corridor frantically, hoping someone would show up so they could help her. "Professor Lupin!" Harry shouted upon seeing the man about to enter the Great Hall.

He turned to face the boy and then he seemed to notice the girl laying on the ground next to him. He ran over immediately and knelt down next to his daughter, "What happened?"

"I'm not sure," Harry shook his head. "One second she was talking, and the next..."

"I'm taking her to the infirmary," Lupin explained as he picked his unconscious daughter up and off the floor carefully. "Go join the rest of your classmates in the Great Hall."

"But-"

"Go Harry," he demanded, "Now."

-

"Is she okay?" Ron asked as he tried to peek into the infirmary. The three of them had been there all afternoon trying to get Pomfrey to let them in to see Abigail.

"Would you three go back to your house?" Pomfrey requested, clearly growing agitated with their persistence.

"But we want to see her!" Harry exclaimed.

"She needs her rest."

"There is no harm in us just being with her," Hermione pointed out.

"It's almost your curfew."

"They're alright," Lupin informed the nurse from behind the three students and they turned to look at him. "I talked to Dumbledore and he said they could be with her for a few hours."

Pomfrey let out a defeated sigh and stepped aside for them to enter. "Thank you, Professor," Hermione thanked him and Ron said the same before the two ran over to Abigail's bed.

Harry moved to join them but Lupin stopped him. "Harry," he spoke and the boy turned around, "I have a sneaking suspicion you know more than you've been letting on."

The boy faltered, unsure as to how to respond. He glanced back at the girl and then back at her father. "If it's alright..." he trailed off, trying to find the best way to make the request, "I would like to talk to Abby first...see what she makes of it before I say anything."

Lupin nodded, "Very well. I'll see you all tomorrow then."

"Tomorrow," Harry agreed with a nod before joining his friends at Abigail's bedside.

"She'll be okay, right?" Ron whispered and Hermione and Harry didn't have a response.

"I'm not dead, you moron," Abigail pointed out and the three jumped in surprise.

"Bloody hell, Abby," Ron muttered and Hermione reached over and hugged her carefully.

"We were worried about you!" Hermione exclaimed.

"I'm more worried about my hearing, now," she replied, covering her ears. "I'm fine," she pointed out as she sat up, "I don't even remember what happened."

"You don't?" Harry asked and Abigail couldn't help but not that he looked disappointed. She shook her head, "You passed out outside the Great Hall."

Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion, "I never went to the Great Hall."

Hermione and Ron exchanged a look before Hermione looked at Abigail "Yes, you did. We saw you when you came into the hall," she explained. "You left almost immediately and Harry went after you."

Abigail frowned, "I-I don't remember that." She looked up at Harry and was about to ask if anything else happened but from the look on her face she could tell that now wasn't the time. She looked between the three, "What have I missed?"

-

"I can't believe they're actually going to kill Buckbeak," Abigail frowned as they made their way across the ground. Hermione, Ron and Harry had filled her in on everything including the fact that Draco Malfoy managed to get the Hippogriff a death sentence.

"It's horrible," Hermione nodded.

"It just got worse," Harry pointed out as they saw Draco and his buddies up ahead, looking down at Hagrid's hut.

"This is going to be rich!" Draco exclaimed before he looked up behind him, sensing their presence. "Look who's here." He had a grin on his face, "Come to see the show?"

"You!" Hermione shouted, approaching the boy quickly. She had her wand under Draco's chin within seconds. "You foul, loathsome, evil little cockroach!"

The boy was trembling and Ron spoke up. "Hermione, no!" he tried, "He's not worth it." Hermione let the boy go and started to walk away when she could hear Draco snickering behind her. She spun around and punched him in the mouth.

"Malfoy, are you okay?" one of his buddies asked. Abigail had come to know him as Theodore Nott.

Abigail had to cover her mouth to stop herself from laughing as Draco, along with his cohorts, scrambled to get away. Draco turned to the boys, "Not a word to anyone, understood?"

"That felt good," Hermione announced with a grin as the four of them made their way down to Hagrid's hut.

"Not good," Ron countered, "Brilliant!"

"He definitely deserved it," Abigail added as they entered the hut.

"Look at him," Hagrid frowned as he looked out at the Hippogriff through the window. "Loves the smell of the trees when the wind blows through them."

"Why don't we just set him free?" Harry suggested.

"They'd know it was me," Hagrid pointed out. "And then Dumbledore would get into trouble. He's coming down, Dumbledore." He wiped his nose with a handkerchief that was rather dirty. "Says he wants to be with me when they..." he trailed off. "When it happens. Great man, Dumbledore. A great man."

"We'll stay with you too, Hagrid," Hermione informed him.

"You'll do no such thing!" he exclaimed. "Think I want you seeing something like that? No." He shook his head, "You just drink your tea and be off." Something seemed to dawn on him, as he stood up, "Before you do, Ron..." He pulled a rat out a box and handed it to the boy.

"Scabbers!" Ron shouted. "You're alive."

Abigail took a step back as the rat came into focus. The images she had been seeing on repeat flashed through her mind. It couldn't be true, she reminded herself. He was just a regular rat and that's all.

"Keep a closer eye on your pets, Ron," Hagrid suggested.

Hermione turned to Ron, "I think you owe someone an apology."

"Right," the boy agreed. "Next time I see Crookshanks, I'll let him know."

"I meant me!"

Before Ron could reply, however, the pot on the table shattered and dirt spilled from it. "Blimey," Hagrid looked around in confusion, "What was that?"

Abigail stepped closer to the window and looked around for the source as another of whatever it was that broke the pot flew through the window and nailed Harry in the head. She turned in confusion and Hermione held up what had hit him. Abigail looked back out the window and saw that the executor along with Dumbledore and Dudge were walking up.

"Ow!" Harry huffed as he rubbed the back of his head and turned around.

"Hagrid!" Abigail exclaimed.

"Oh, crikey," Hagrid mumbled once he saw what the issue was. "It's late. It's nearly dark. You shouldn't be here," he informed them. "Someone sees you outside the castle at this time of night, you'll be in trouble. Big trouble. Particularly you, Harry." There was a knock on the door. "With you in a moment!" Hagrid ushered the kids out, "Quick!"

"Hagrid," Harry tried.

"It'll be fine," he shook his head, "Go on. Go."

The four of them ran out the back and made their way through the pumpkin patch. As they walked through, there was a noise from behind them. Both Hermione and Abigail stopped and they exchanged a confused look.

"What?" Harry asked the two.

"I thought I just saw..." Hermione began, glancing over at Abigail who shook her head. "Never mind."

"Let's go!" Ron urged them on.

They all made their way to the top of the hill and stopped to look down at where the executor had walked out. Abigail turned around, unable to watch the scene play out.

"Oh, no," Hermione murmured and Abigail cringed as she could hear the swinging of the weapon as it beheaded the Hippogriff.

Ron let out a sudden shout of pain causing Abigail to whirl around. "He bit me!" the redhead announced. "Scabbers!" He ran after the rat and Abigail's eyes widened before she followed after him immediately.

"Ron!" Hermione shouted.

"Scabbers, come back!" Ron tried as he continued to chase after his pet.

"Ron, don't!" Abigail yells as he dove for the rat and caught it.

He looked down at the creature in surprise, "Scabbers, you bit me!"

"Harry, you do realize what tree this is?" Hermione inquired cautiously.

"That's not good," Harry shook his head. "Ron, run!"

"Harry, Hermione, Abby, Run!" Ron countered as he pointed frantically behind the three of them. "It's the Grim."

Abigail turned around to find the animal that had been in her dreams alongside the rat. The dog barreled past them and toward Ron, biting his leg and dragging him toward the tree. "Ron!" Hermione shouted as Ron was pulled toward the roots of the tree.

"Help!" Ron exclaimed and Abigail was quick to run after him, sliding down the entrance as soon as the dog had pulled him down.

"Ron!" Harry shouted. "Abby!"
