Chapter 3 - Perspectives...

"Hello, Sitorro" Death said as I walked into the large chamber titled: "master's quarters." A large, purple room, dark and ugly. "It's sure been a while." Death said, cackling. "You know why I'm here, Death." I said, gripping my Katana like it was the only thing that could keep me alive. And it was, you couldn't reason with Death, so I was going to kill him. He laughed. "Of course I do. I'm surprised you didn't come sooner." I looked at him straight in the eye, my expression that of an angry lion. "This isn't the time for small talk." I was tired of his procrastination, walking closer to him, and drawing my Katana. "My my, aren't we impatient! Well, alright then. Tonight's entertainment, an execution!" He cackled yet again. The room fell away, revealing a void. We stood on a black platform. I jumped, trying to get above Death, and fired a firebolt at his head. His stick-like figure was in contrast to his large head, a chunk of black, obsidian-like, crystal, absorbing all light available to it. Death easily blocked the bolt, so I changed tactics, going to a less physical form. I slashed my Katana in his direction, a pink wave soaring towards him. Psy-cutter, a slashing move that made a condensed wave of psychic energy fly at a target. He wasn't going to bat this one away. He flew up, dodging the attack easily. I landed, now he had the high ground. I looked up for a second, but something seemed off. There was another presence, behind me. I could tell it wasn't hostile due to it's Aura. I looked behind me. It was a man who looked almost exactly like my father. But unlike my father, this guy seemed like a dumb nit-wit. I didn't know how to protect him and kill Death. I decided the best way to protect him was to be a shield. I backed up to him. "Get up," I said, "I need to protect you, but there's no way I can do that if I'm tripping over you." I turned to him and pulled him up. He screamed, going limp and clumsily landed face first. A beam came and struck me, both me and Death had defense too high for our own good, so it didn't hurt much. The boy got up, trying to pull me out, but as much as he tried, he wasn't going to be able to. I teleported out, and somehow, he pulled me down by accident. "So we have company?" Death said, cracking a smile. "Let's give them some entertainment too." He had fired something, and I tried to block it. Too late, something grazed the guy's leg. I helped him up and put his arm over my shoulder, which wasn't hard due to me only being 5'3". "Don't spoil the fun, Sitorro... I don't want to kill you, and was in fact going to give your father back if you let him die, but this person means so much to you, why would I do that? No, not now. This is much too entertaining..." He charged another attack, and something changed. The man fell, dragging me down with him yet again. We were in a stark white room, almost as large as the battlefield we were just in. I saw outside, we were in an apartment I guess, but there was a device on the desk I'd never seen before. "Where am I?" I asked. He was hunched over, trying to say something, but was hyperventilating. "Oh well!" I said, making myself comfortable. The boy was knocked out, but he'd wake up soon. I would have to get back home, but that was a problem for future me.
