Politics

So a lot of stuff has been going on lately in politics.
I don't like politics, I really don't.
Both sides are usually right and wrong at the same time.
I do my best to not get involved, But sometimes things start happening where I live.
By that I mean riots, And by that I mean mobs of people doing stupid sh*s for not a good enough reason based of something that happened elsewhere, And that ain't ok. Burning down a police station is not ok.
Sure some police suck at their job.
And sometimes it's peoples fault they do.
A lot of em are scared to do their jobs for fear of losing the job.
Some of em don't care and go around giving police officers a bad name.
And some of them kill people for horrible reasons and that definitely isn't ok.
Does this mean all of them are terrible and should die in a fire.
No, no it doesn't.

Black lives matter.
White lives matter.
Yellow lives matter.
Red lives matter.
Orange lives matter.
Pink lives matter.
Tan lives matter.
Pale lives matter.
Brown lives matter.
Lightish-red lives matter.
Beige lives matter.
Olive lives matter.
Speckled lives matter.
Spotted lives matter.
Multicolor lives matter.

Police lives matter.

All lives matter.
All of them have worth.

Loss of life, Nomatter what, is still a great loss.

Even those, who to you, may seem like they don't matter.
They matter to someone.

~
Ok, on to the more opinionated stuff.
(Note: If you don't agree with me, that is ok.)
~

If you gather into a mob during the whole corona thing and no one is six feet apart and people aren't wearing masks even though they are supposed to, you can't expect the police to not show up. If your burning down buildings and robbing people and then saying it's in the name of oppression, you can't expect the police to not show up. Especially when it's people who have nothing to do with the apparent reason for doing such a thing. It's their job to show up. And it gets frustrating when they aren't doing their job because people keep scaring them out of doing it.

Currently people are putting up signs around my neighborhood encouraging people to join a riot they are planning to have way to close to my house for comfort.
I understand that without protesting things we can't make them stop, and that everyone has the right to gather and protest against things, But that also means that I have the right to peacefully protest the protest.
So I take down the signs when I see them.
Because we don't need buildings being burned down, and people doing stupid shis.
It's not going to solve anything, it doesn't make them come off as worth listening to.
It's isn't doing anything productive.

Who is going to take your argument seriously if your screaming at them to the point in which your words are barely legible, and your actions of retaliation are nearly just as violent or harmful as that which you are fighting against?

When you have two people screaming at each other, nothing is going to get solved.
"A negative and a negative won't make a positive"
"Fighting fire with fire is just going to make an even bigger flame"

Putting the blame on people who weren't involved isn't going to help either.
Accusing people of supporting horrible things just because they aren't siding with you or saying anything isn't going to help.

At the moment police are pretty terrible at their job.
This is a problem.
Giving them more reason not to do their job is definitely not helping.

Peacefully supporting the imprisonment of a corrupt police officer is fine.
However, taking out your anger at the actions of that police officer on those who weren't involved isn't, especially when there are other things where you live that need to be changed and should be more of a priority in comparison to something that didn't even happen where you live.

The loss of life somewhere else is significant.
But so are the near loss of life and safety hazards where you live.
And instead of focusing on problems happening elsewhere maybe try focusing on solving the issues where you actually live.

For example.

Right now in the place I live, a homeless person can get away with nearly killing someone on purpose, or assaulting them on purpose.
Pretty much as long as they don't kill someone, any harm done to a person they can get away with doing.
They can't be sued as they have no money, and they won't be sent to prison cause apparently 'someone' doesn't want to have to pay to house them in a prison.
I would gladly do so if it meant I wouldn't have to fear the possibility of being injured to the point where I can't do anything, and can't work.
This has happened to people I know.
A homeless person intentionally threw a trash can lid at a co-worker of my mother's while said co-worker was riding their bike, just for they sake of being a terrible person. That co-worker suffered serious injures that made them unable to work, And the dude got away with it.
Not all homeless people are terrible and deserved to be locked up, But the ones who do horrible things that intentionally jeopardize the safety of those around them should be.

The police aren't doing their jobs, they won't touch the homeless, and many of homeless people are taking advantage of that.
And from what I've seen, the only people who actually do anything about it are the firefighters.
Honestly the firefighters are such a blessing.
The police are useless.
Even the social security people at the collages are more likely to do something to help you than the police officers will.

I have a narrow alley behind my house that is the only access point to our driveway.
And there was a homeless person who decided to start living there.
Not directly in front of our driveway, but behind one of our neighbors house.

Now, the thing is, we get charged if that alley is trashed, even if we weren't the ones who trashed it, and trashing it was exactly what this person was doing.
They were going to the bathroom in the alley, so outside smelled strongly of human feces, which is a health hazard.
And they were blocking a street.
There were various calls made to the police, they did nothing.
When we had all evidence pointing to the fact that they need to do something, they still wouldn't budge on it.
And then we called the fire department and told them that said person was blocking a road, and the fire department did something about it immediately.
Because if there is a person blocking a road that they need to be able to get through, to stop a fire, then that becomes a serious problem.

This is a local problem that is more of a priority to me than problems elsewhere.
I'll support the peaceful efforts to get things done elsewhere, but my main focus is on solving the issues that directly affect me, because what exactly am I going to be able to do about something happening elsewhere if I can't do anything to solve the problems happening here.

I know there are probably people who will disagree with me, and that's ok.
This is just my personal opinions towards the matter at the moment.
