My Suspicions
After school, My Pov:
Pyra, Max, me, (Y/n), and (B/f/n) were all due to head home for the day. Pyra, as usual, was talked to by many people. Max was flirted with by one of the popular girls. I was flirted with by one of the popular boys. (B/f/n) was flirted with by a girl named (G/n), and (Y/n) seemed to just read during lunch after packing all her food into her backpack.
I've been growing suspicious of (Y/n) and (B/f/n). I'm starting to suspect (Y/n) doesn't have a good home life, despite seeming happy to discuss how kind her father is and how he bandages her up after she gets hurt, which is her explanation as to why she's always wearing a bandage somewhere. Pyra and Max have tried to get an answer out of her that wasn't "I'm accident prone," but to no avail. I'm also suspecting (B/f/n) is cheating on (Y/n) with (G/n). But I'm more concerned about (Y/n) than (B/f/n), because (Y/n) almost never harms herself here at school, so why would she only get hurt at home? Does she live in a dangerous area? Or is she lying about her home life? I need to bring up my concerns with Pyra and Max, they'll know what to do...
Later, Pyra's Pov:
"So you're telling me that you think (Y/n)'s being abused?" I repeated what AC said, trying to make sure. AC nodded.
"Yes, she's only ever having accidents at home, never at school," AC said, "Ever notice that yourselves?"
"Honestly, AC, we have, but none of us, you, me, or Pyra have a way to prove it," Max said.
"What're guys talking about?" (B/f/n)'s voice could be heard. Max's tail shifted to its annoyed position. Max never liked (B/f/n) that much, none of us do, but we don't tell (Y/n) because we don't want to upset her.
"We're talking about (Y/n)'s home life..." AC said, looking ticked off. AC liked (B/f/n) the least, and Max and I don't know why, but I suspect it's 'cause she likes (Y/n), but (Y/n) likes (B/f/n).
"(Y/n)'s home life? Why're guys so concerned about it? She's always told us what's going on at home," (B/f/n) said, seeming dismissive. AC's face went from midly annoyed to furious in a second.
"You don't care about your girlfriend possibly being abused?!" AC whisper-yelled, grabbing (B/f/n)'s shirt, "What type of boyfriend are you?! I-"
"Awsome Connie? (B/f/n)? What's going on?" A scared voice said. We all turned to see who it was. It was (Y/n). AC immediately let go of (B/f/n)'s shirt.
"(Y-(Y/n)! We were just!-" AC began, but was cut off by (Y/n).
"You guys know I don't like it when you fight! Do you always fight behind my back?!" (Y/n) shouted, tears rolling down her cheeks. Max took a step forward, he's always been the best at deesculating a situation before things get out of hand.
"Kitten, we were-" Max began, but was also cut off by (Y/n).
"Don't 'Kitten' me! Tell me, do you guys do this behind my back? Do my best friends actually hate each other?!" (Y/n) once again shouted. Just as (Y/n) shouted that, I had a flashback. One where Max, and his best friend Lucy, got into an argument while I wasn't there. When I met up with them, they were still fighting. It was said argument that made Max and Lucy have a falling out.
"Stop! Please, just stop! It's not okay to fight!" I heard a voice call out in distress. Everyone looked at me. I was confused for a second, until I realized I was the one who called out. My ears went down, my wings folded in, and my tail curled around me.
"U-uh, let's just stop fighting, okay? J-just to talk things out in a calm way, a-alright?" I stammered, trying to now be the one to calm things down. Max looked guilty, (Y/n) and AC seemed confused, and (B/f/n) seemed a little gleeful.
"What's wrong, Pyra? Can't handle some drama? Everybody has drama in their lives. This must be your first," He said rather smugly. I grew even more upset. Past friends, people I considered family, said similar things to me when we had a falling out. AC grabbed (B/f/n)'s shirt tighter than she had before. (Y/n) looked upset at (B/f/n), but more concerned about me.
"U-um, let's go home, cool off, and meetup back here tomorrow, okay?" I said, just wanting to get out of the situation. Everybody nodded, and we went our separate ways.
Drama is starting, and it's only the second chapter! But don't worry, things will get better. Or will they?
